- Lionel came back to Santa Barbara. Hayley and Jake get ready to make love on the beach, but slow down because Hayley is still not feeling ready because of her recent rape. She reassures this by telling herself that Ted may not have slept with Laken as yet. But it is just what is happening directly on the sand, further on the beach. Kelly finds herself wedged at the Desperado and is obliged by the owner, who takes her for his new stripper, to perform on stage for his clients. But she manages to go to the cells and release Jeffrey, who had been locked up in a padlocked trunk. Both try to demolish the partition of Jeffrey's cell by hoping to find Mason on the other side, when suddenly a gunshot then shouting blares. Eden argues with her father about Chip. She invites Victoria to come to visit her son in the Capwell residence. Tori asks her to watch over Chip for as long as C.C. the lawful carer will allow it. Eden just begins taking care of Chip when she falls from the chair and sees Chip beginning choking. She calls for help.
- Jane threatens Keith to lodge a complaint against him for rape if he does not announce the information which he has concerning Johnny to her. Keith entrusts her with information that Marsha Connors has just transmitted to him, and proves to be the telephone number of the adoptive parents of Johnny in Illinois. Jane not knowing what to make of this, asks Elena to speak to Cruz about it. But Elena takes the initiative and calls the parents whom she asks for their definite co-ordinates. Cruz arrives to the Capwell residence and helps Eden, who had fallen from her chair, to get up again. Eden asks Cruz to bring Chip back to his mother. C.C. confesses losing. Kelly and Jeffrey find nobody in the neighbouring cell, apart from a little blood on a wall. Further on they find, the accomplice of the Indian, lying on the floor, covered with blood and dying. He dies before having been able to say to them where Mason is. The police arrive at the Desperado and acquaint themselves with the existence of the body. Kelly and Jeffrey decide to escape.

- Eden gets out unharmed from the explosion. Pearl calls the residence and Keith tells him that Eden died. Pearl hastens to inform Cruz, who rushes there with Ted. Keith waits for his arrival and threatens him with a weapon. Cruz stuns Keith with a punch and succeeds in arriving at the cave thanks to a diversion of the policemen organised by Ted. In search of Ted, Laken finds T.J. half drunk in The Lair. She slips on a formal dress which he gave her and dances with him, before embracing her. Ted arrives at this instant. By discussing this, Laken and Ted come to the conclusion that they are not in love and Ted chooses to break it off. Victoria is in the hospital, where Scott comes to the conclusion that it is cocaine. In spite of the wrong name which she assumed, Gina discovers that it is Tori. Mason comes back to the flat and finds only Chip, in the middle of a broken vase which Victoria overturned by leaving. On her return, he accuses her of lack of thought, but Tori defends herself by saying that the baby-sitter was still there on her departure. Mason decides then to discharge her by telephone.
- Keith arrives while Gina is lying on the floor. He drives her to the hospital and promises retaliation to C.C.. C.C., just like Sophia, requests Kelly to abandon the idea of inviting Pamela to their marriage. But Kelly is offended, reminding them that she is Jeffrey's mother. Alex tells Pamela that he saw Cruz and C.C. with Elena's lifeless body in the Laser Palace, but that he is unaware who killed her. Cruz goes back to the cell and asks to accept no visitors. Carmen and Cain however come to see him and Cruz pretends to cope. But Eden doubts his resistance and joins him. Cruz completely lost hope in fact and speaks about their relationship with Eden as about the past. In the hospital, Keith is worried to see one very young doctor, Dr Scott Clark, taking care of Gina's state. When she wakes up, Scott tests her sight and Gina understands that she does not see anymore... First appearance in the series of Dr. Scott Clark.
- After the incident on the filming set, Victoria accuses Mason for not trying to understand her and for not loving her. She places an order with Mel for a large quantity of cocaine. Jeffrey is discontented that Mason offers to buy a house for their mother without having consulted him. Cruz appears in front of an audience for sentencing. Judge Larson condemns him for prison with a non-parole period of 25 years. Everybody is under the impact, while Cruz sinks in silence. Julia and Mason plan to appeal without big hope and feel guilty. Eden turns to Cain to think about the only alternative which she sees possible: an escape. She comes to speak about it to Cruz in prison, but he refuses any help and asks her to leave him alone.
- Cain and Eden think about the plan of escape for Cruz. Eden speaks about it to her parents, but Sophia makes her promise to say nothing to Kelly about it. Kelly requests Keith to authorise Cruz to come to her marriage, but Keith proves to be inflexible. T.J. announces to Laken and Ted of the plan to open a nightclub. Gina gets from C.C. to be gracefully accommodated in guest house of the Capwell property in exchange for the abandonment of any claims against him for her accident. C.C. then comes to announce to Ted that he is going to have to leave the guest house to place Gina in there. By discussing with Jesse, his companion in the cell the getaway, Cruz thinks about Eden's plan and announces to her that he is ready to attempt this adventure.
- Gina becomes established in the guest house at the Capwell property. While Keith is with her, Scott visits and proves to be very attentive towards Gina. Pamela invites Victoria, Mason, Kelly, Jeffrey, Julia and Alex to a small party in her new home. Alex feels guilty of his silence by hearing Julia and Mason speaking about Cruz. Pearl and Cain prepare the acquisition of explosives for Cruz's escape. Kelly speaks about golf with Judge Larson to cajole her and to get Cruz's freedom for the time of the wedding ceremony. The fellow prisoner of Cruz, Jesse, succeeded in obtaining a weapon. As Cruz refuses to follow him in his plan of escape, he arranges to make him leave the cell and takes Keith in hostage. Cruz arrives to help and releases Keith, before Jesse is slaughtered by a security guard. To thank him for having saved his life, Keith authorises Cruz to attend the marriage of Kelly and Jeffrey... A young actor replaces Justin Gocke temporarily in the part of Brandon DeMott Capwell.
- Eden and Cruz meet finally. Having made love, they think about organising the tracking of the true murderer of Elena. Cruz suggests studying her diary in search of any indications. Keith got a search warrant for the Capwell residence. But there is no trace of Eden, of Cain or of Cruz. By entering the guest house, Keith finds Gina and Scott hauled down on the sofa. Cain comes into sight from behind and pretends to have remained hidden there. Keith then goes back to see Gina and makes her a true and sincere declaration of love. But for Gina, everything is finished: she wants to leave her chance to Scott. Kelly and Jeffrey have the permission to leave the Capwell residence for their honeymoon. They tell Eden about their departure, who became established in the Orient-Express. She asks Pamela and Alex for the permission to read Elena's diary. They accept but, when arriving at the laboratory, Alex burns the document.
- As Kelly and Jeffrey come back to Santa Barbara they discover that Eden is alive. Kelly insists to her sister to stop pushing Cruz away under false pretences. Meanwhile, Jeffrey tells Cruz, Elena, Pearl, Julia and Victoria the discoveries which he made with Kelly in the desert. He thinks that Mason succeeded in avoiding his jailers. A letter signed by the hand of Mason arrives at the Capwell residence, but Cruz thinks that it is a forgery or that it was written under duress. Alex strongly suspects that his daughter is behind all that is hatched around the Capwell children. He goes to his hotel and asks her for an explanation. He ends up making her say what he guessed which is: that she is C.C.'s daughter. Victoria goes to Paul Marshal with a weapon and threatens him while he gets out of his shower. Eden tells Cruz that she will not be able to walk again, but they are interrupted by Sophia, who has come to announce to them that Cain has arrived at the residence.
- While Sophia and C.C. get ready to drive Brandon to the "Summerfest", they bump into Gina and Keith. Brandon asks that Gina accompanies them there, but C.C. refuses, proving to be menacing towards fair Gina in front of Brandon. Sophia recommends to C.C. to soften his position if he does not want to iterate with Brandon what damage he has already caused with Mason by moving him aside from Pamela, his mother. Elena finds Cain alone and drunk on the beach and tries to kill him. But Kelly, who has come to help Cain to come back, stops her in her plans. At the "Summerfest", Paul, dressed up as a buffoon, takes Samantha and Chip away. Cruz finds their trace in a motorised garage. Paul succeeds in stunning Cruz and flees. He goes to the office of Tom Pouce where he sees Gina and Keith, who have come to stop him in his escape and this time decided to act out of goodness. Eden learns about the kidnapping from the radio in her car. She finds Cruz in the garage, lying on the floor because of leaking gas from an exhaust. She gets out of her chair to try and awaken him.
- Even if Gina fears retaliation for involvement, Keith stops Paul Marshal. He sends for the journalists to announce the arrest and gives Chip to Victoria. On the beach, Elena starts to pull the trigger on Kelly and Cain, but she misses her target. Brick and Jeffrey arrive there and call the police. They point out marks of female steps on the sand. Cain begins having memories of a woman, the face of which remains still vague, which advance towards him in a dark corridor. Eden succeeds in taking Cruz out from the garage filled with smoke. Cruz is driven to the hospital. Stunned, Pearl announces his suspicion towards Elena. Eden thinks that she could also be the same person at the origin of her attack in the Utah, of the disappearance of Mason and of the gunshots on Kelly. After these emotions, she also claims finally to have decided to allow her feelings and take back common life with Cruz.
- To avoid new risks, Cain was hidden in a wine cellar belonging to Ted. Alex comes to find Elena and asks her if she has something to say about the gunshots drawn at Kelly and Cain. Elena denies being there and seems to crack in the arms of her adopted father, admitting having left therapy. Jake is solicited for an autograph by a girl who tells him she has several posters of him in her room. Hayley finds it entertaining, but Jake gets worried about it a bit. Laken comes to ask for an autograph in her turn, but Jake finds a way to turn her away. Cruz, still in the hospital, asks Pearl to watch over Eden. But Eden succeeds in avoiding his surveillance in the hope of discovering where Cain was hidden. She finally joins Cruz, who entrusts that all the tracks which she is studying with Pearl lead to Elena. When he complains to be locked in his hospital room, Eden promises him a surprise.
- While Eden, together with Kelly, gets ready for her surprise for Cruz, Jeffrey is responsible for making him wait in his hospital room. Kelly and Jeffrey are of the benefit that Cruz leaves to enable them to put a radio in the room. Keith makes Paul Marshal sign a deposition where he admits his guilt only in the affair of the babies' abductions. To thank them for having stopped him, Julia and Victoria invite Gina and Keith to have dinner in the Orient-Express. Keith proves to be goofy and foolish, Julia and Victoria are relieved to see them finally leaving. The alcohol helping, they discuss Mason and they both put to bed the feelings they have for him. In the soup kitchen where she works as a volunteer, Gina meets a beggar who carries a locket containing two photos, among them one is of a little boy whom she believes she knows. On his return to his hospital room, Cruz finds a romantic setting with white curtains and candles. Eden waits for him there and presents herself to him for the night.
- After their romantic night in the hospital, Eden and Cruz return to the beach house, where Pearl and Carmen organised a Mexican holiday for their return. Gina asks Keith to grab the locket from the beggar and is of the benefit that she fell asleep on the floor to hide it from her. She even goes to the point of stealing some money from her to phone Brandon and to ask him to find photos of Mason as a child. She is indeed persuaded that Mason is one of the two children in the photo in the locket. By searching at Kelly and Jeffrey's place, she has the confirmation that the second child in the photo is Jeffrey. Keith realises that the locket had to belong to Pamela. Kelly helps Cain to remember the woman who comes back to his mind continuously in memory. He remembers that she worked as a nurse in the rehabilitation centre where he stayed and that his true name is Cain Garver. Elena pays a man to pass for a policeman and to question C.C. about the hiding-place of Cain. But C.C. cannot tell him anything, not knowing himself. Elena surprises Pearl and Carmen with boxes of clothes. She follows them, persuaded that they are going to drive her to the hiding-place of Cain. From their departure, she enters the cellar and pulls her weapon out.
- As soon as she hears gunshots inside the cellar, Carmen rushes to the front-door of the building and blocks her in. Pearl calls Cruz who arrives there, but Elena disappeared. Cain, is in a secure location at the Capwell guesthouse where Ted has just driven him. In Johnny's, Brick receives a negative answer to his application for the police college, because of his judicial past for violence. While she is alone at the table, Laken is approached by two hooligans. Jake comes to her rescue and a fight breaks out. Brick intervenes and mingles with blows, in front of the eyes of the instructor come to study his appeal for the police college. But Jane proves to be convincing and Brick is seen assuring that his application is going to be re-studied. Cruz has a plan: he makes Elena believe that Carmen and Pearl did not see her and they should ask for her assistance to find the shooter. Eden finds Cain in the Capwell guesthouse and persuades him that the woman in his memories is Elena.
- After the fight on the night before at Johnny's, Jake arrives at his photo session with two black eyes. Kelly and Jeffrey are forced to change the scenario of their advertising, and share it with their boss. Jake has a week to find his natural face, in which case he risks being replaced for the campaign of The Beast. Laken receives a letter, then a call from T.J., her old fiancé, who wants to come to join her in Santa Barbara. Sophia finds that her marriage has become routine. She tries to reanimate the flame with C.C.. Keith discovers that Pamela's body was never found after her jump from the top of a bridge. Gina questions Bertha, the beggar who kept Pamela's locket. She confesses to Gina to have hidden the object from Maxine Carter, a neighbour from the cell. Victoria tells Julia that a role in a series in Hollywood was offered to her. They both are approached by Arcana, a clairvoyant, who proves to know the name of the character offered to Victoria. Arcana then comes to visit Tori at home and tells her that she knows things about Mason, before disappearing... In anticipation of the arrival of T.J. in the show, the writers go backwards: Laken and him were only engaged and not married, contrary to what Laken said on her return in Santa Barbara in episode 712.
- Brick is disappointed to be on the second waiting list for entering the police academy. Victoria and Kelly each accept an invitation from Arcana to a séance to get into contact with Mason. Julia and Jeffrey decide to accompany them, even if the invitation is personal. Arcana accepts their presence around a table in a hotel room especially reserved by Julia. On the appeal of Mason, the table moves and the face appears at the top of the flame of a candle. Persuaded that they were fooled, Julia, Kelly and Jeffrey then go back there and find no projector there. They think that Arcana must be in contact with the abductors of Mason. Victoria pays Arcana so that she continues her séances with her. Cruz invents a very detailed history to make Elena believe that he found the gunshots drawn at Cain very suspicious. He thinks that she will feel at ease if she is persuaded that he thinks she is innocent. But Eden finds this plan too dangerous.
- Arcana convinces Victoria that Mason died. When Julia, Kelly and Jeffrey arrive to save Tori of her influence, Arcana offers them to join her on the beach. There, she pretends to discover a shirt covered with blood on the sand, which would have belonged to Mason. Arcana disappears immediately without anybody realising it. Cruz gives a young puppy to Eden, who decides to call her Hope. She and Carmen go to the Capwell guesthouse to see Cain and to help him remember the past. Cain remembers more and more about the mysterious woman who scared him at the time of his recovery after Vietnam. Eden shows him Elena's photo, by hoping that he recognises her as being this woman. Cruz takes a plan up with Pearl: he makes Elena believe that they are locked up in a desperate place and that certain death waits for them. Thinking that her end is coming, Elena is confident and avows to have lived a life of lies and misdeeds.
- Jake brings Hayley back home to recover. Gina tells Keith that she found Pamela's trace: in New York, they told her that she had come back live in Santa Barbara. Gina finds her trace in a small hotel in the city. Sophia suspects C.C., who had gone out to give some money to Pamela, to have a mistress. Brick tells Sophia and C.C. that the fellow prisoner of Cruz was killed in his cell. Eden overhears their discussion and asks Brick to help her to visit Cruz. Helped by Jane who occupies Keith thirsty for sex, Brick searches Keith's office in search of the forms for permission to visit. So, Eden can get ready to find Cruz. But Angel sent one of his men to stab Cruz in the court. Cruz collapses on the floor some metres from Eden, who falls to the floor to help him.
- Gina goes to Pamela and tells her that she misses her two sons who think she is dead. She tells her that Jeffrey is about to marry Kelly Capwell. Pamela goes to Johnny's and spies on Kelly and Jeffrey by a window. Cain and Pearl have an appointment with a witness who was close to the Laser Palace the night of the death of Elena. But the wife of the witness comes to tell them that he escaped with his mistress and therefore he will not be able to make their appointment. Cruz is driven to the hospital, but he is out of danger. Eden asks Gina to help her to convince Keith to let her see Cruz, but Gina refuses. By negotiating with Keith, C.C. gets authorisation for Eden to visit Cruz. But Keith puts a microphone in his room to listen to their discussion. Without Cruz knowing it, Cain slips a revolver in the back of Eden's wheelchair. Once taken in with her into Cruz's room, he shows the weapon and announces that he has a plan. Cruz, who discovered the microphone hidden in a bunch of flowers, makes a sign to be silent.
- Cruz makes Cain understand that he is not interested in his plan of escape by force. Once Cain is taken out from the room, Keith intervenes to separate Eden and Cruz. Cruz shows him that he knew he was being listened to by destroying the microphone hidden in the bunch of flowers in front of him. Victoria meets Mel Stock, her film director friend, and is allowed to be enticed by his plan of a film. Mason immediately regrets his choice. Pamela tells Gina about her last years with C.C., of their love before Sophia's arrival, who put an end to their relationship. Gina supports her by drawing the parallel with her own experience of being C.C.'s wife. To avoid Cruz being returned to the cell and risking his life once again, Eden chains herself to the door of the court. Media rushes to record her speech. Keith, who admits defeat, lets Cruz spend a further night in the hospital. Everybody comes to see Eden in front of the entrance of the court, until a storm arrives. Mason stays with her and recites a poem to her which his mother read to him when he was afraid of the dark as a child. Some metres from him, Pamela listens to him with emotion... First appearance in the series of Mel Stock. As from this episode, Bridget and Jerome Dobson are not credited as executive producers in the ending credits anymore.
- Having learnt that a film is going to be made in Santa Barbara, T.J. offers Jake to play his agent to get him a cameo role. Jake accepts, needing money to settle the hospital bill for Hayley. T.J. then tries to persuade Laken, but she has the feeling that T.J. sees only a pretty girl without a brain. Having spent the night with Eden at the court, Mason goes to his office and by awkwardness spills coffee on Julia. She undresses to get changed, when Victoria arrives. Mason tries to persuade her that she has nothing to imagine, but Victoria remains sceptical. She leaves to go to Mel's hotel room. To comfort her of her family trials, Mel offers her a little drug which he uses. Tori refuses it. Fearing his popularity, Keith agrees to transfer Cruz in a more secure environment in the prison. But in exchange, he forbids all visitors for him except for his lawyers. Eden must get used to not seeing him again before his trial.
- Ted finds Laken asleep in T.J.'s van, after a party which they had at the drive-in. T.J. drives her and then Jake to the beach for the film audition with Mel Stock, where they have to interpret a loving couple. Gina comes to find Pamela in her hotel room and tries to dissuade her from going out, for fear that it is possible to recognise her in spite of the veil which covers her face permanently. But Pamela arranged to get care in a beauty parlour beside Sophia. Both women discuss without seeing each others face, when they bring towels perfumed in lilacs for Pamela. Sophia remembers the same perfume which she had smelt on the letter accepted by C.C.. Pamela succeeds in escaping, but Sophia succeeds in obtaining the address she resides at. It is the same hotel in front of which C.C. received an infringement notice for illegal parking. She goes there and knocks, while Pamela is in full debate with Gina. Brick arranged to replace the security guard of Cruz's cell. With the help of Jane, it allows him to pass by with Eden in the linen room of the prison. But another security guard comes to search for Cruz and finds his empty cell.
- At the hotel, Gina hides Pamela in the bathroom and opens the door to Sophia. She lets her think that she has an adventure with C.C.. Back in the Capwell residence, Sophia questions C.C. about his visits to this hotel having with a bad reputation and about the bunch of lilacs which have just been delivered. C.C. refuses to confide. Keith finds Cruz in the prison corridors, as well as Eden and Brick. He lets Eden leave, but transforms this visit into an escape attempt to ask Judge Larson to keep Cruz in prison up to his trial. Brick, is immediately returned from the police academy. At Johnny's, Lionel avenges in his own way by overturning a chocolate mousse and the leftover fruits on Keith's face. Victoria does not succeed in concentrating on her lines and accepts some drugs from Mel. Mason learns that the witness from the Laser Palace was found. But the person that he saw taking off from the building the evening of murder is not a man, but a woman wearing a veil. Just like Pamela.
- Pamela refuses to submit to the directives of Gina. Gina then threatens her to reveal her presence to Mason and Jeffrey. Thanks to his witness, Mason establishes a photo fit of the veiled woman seen in the Laser Palace. Gina, who was encouraged by Keith to spy on Cruz's lawyers, goes back to Pamela's hotel room and informs her that she is currently being searched for by the police. Brick tries to persuade Keith to return him to the police academy, but Keith refuses to give in. Jane does the same, claiming to be ready to accuse Keith of rape. But Keith returns her a file of arrests for soliciting to load against her. Brick then decides to leave the city to live his life elsewhere. He says goodbye to Sophia. Victoria is again ready for a party and invites Mel, who offers her a sachet of drugs to comfort her. Meanwhile at the office, Mason embraces Julia suddenly.
- T.J. uses his relations to get a favour from Mel to allow Jake to get a cameo role in the film. Hayley finds that T.J. is first of all a manipulator attracted by the money. Cruz's trial begins. Keith introduces to the jurors the portrait of Cruz faithless and ready to murder to get rid of his problems. He then questions Eden, who at first confesses to have thought that Cruz and Elena had a relationship. Questioned by Mason, she makes up for it by asserting she believes in love and the faithfulness of the defendant. Victoria accepts a summons to appear the following day as witness for the accused. She asks Mel for a "tonic" to help her overcome her apprehension. The evening arrives; Mason thinks she is been mysteriously relaxing facing what waits for her in the court.
- Keith calls Pearl, then Carmen to the stand. Bearing a grudge that they defend Cruz, they are made to say under oath that they thought that Elena and Cruz maintained a relationship. Alex's turn comes, which Mason achieves in breaking by admitting that his daughter suffered from a serious psychological issue of which he too little notice of. Keith then questions C.C., whom he makes repeat the last words of Elena, accusing Cruz of her death. Carmen succeeds in locating one of the hotels where the veiled woman seen in the Laser Palace the evening of murder stayed. She learns that she likes to be called Regina Simpson. Pearl finishes work by discovering his new place of residence thanks to his chemist. Julia and Cain go there and find Pamela. Pamela, under duress, declines to reveal her real identity facing Julia.
- Brick, on departure for a post of a sheriff in Nevada, says goodbye to Lionel in Johnny's. Jane asks him to take her with him. Brick accepts and they both leave Santa Barbara with baby Johnny. Julia discovers that the veiled key witness is Pamela Capwell Conrad. She asks her to come to testify in the court and lets Cain watch her in the hotel room. Gina is furious that Pamela declines her identity. At Cruz's trial, Keith questions Victoria and approaches the affair of the headlight, which happened one year earlier. He pretends that Cruz violated her there, and Victoria is obliged to confess publicly that it is her who abused Cruz. The cross-examination of Kelly turns into a fist fight between Keith and Julia. Mason goes to the hotel pointed out by Julia and meets the mysterious witness in the darkness of her room. He is surprised that it is his mother. After a new break, the audience resumes once again with Eden on the stand. Keith makes her read a love letter which Cruz wrote to her after her death and tries to make everyone believe that it was addressed in fact to Elena. Eden cracks in front of the harassment from Keith and Cruz, to defend her, jumps over the table and attacks Keith in full court... Last appearance in the series of Brick Wallace, Johnny Wallace and Jane Wilson.
- Mason is moved to find his mother that he thought was dead. In front of her fragility, he hesitates at first to make her his key witness in Cruz's trial, until Julia manages to persuade him that Pamela is their last chance to save Cruz, especially after his attack towards Keith. Eden encourages Kelly to follow her wedding preparations with Jeffrey. Kelly organises a small gathering between friends in the Capwell residence. Victoria, who hid a dose of cocaine in Mel's reservation, arrives in a euphoric state. At the request of Pamela, Mason gets ready to reveal to Jeffrey that their mother is alive, when Alex comes to interrupt them to toast the memory of Pamela. Keith comes to taunt Cruz in prison. At the end of his nerves, Cruz destroys everything that Keith has handed to him in the cell.
- Laken offers Ted to move in together to a small home on Lockridge property. But once there, they see Hayley and Jake, come to visit the home with an estate agent. Laken then resigns herself to join Ted in the guest house on the Capwell property. Mason tells Jeffrey that their mother is alive. He accompanies him to her hotel room. Pamela explains to Jeffrey that Elena was her daughter and Alex is her father. Jeffrey then asks for an explanation from Alex. C.C. watches Elena's grave and learns that Alex and a veiled woman went there during the day. Julia tells Mason that if he still refuses to call his mother to the stand, she will be forced to issue a summons to her and to ask the judge to take him off the case.
- Mason finally decided to continue defending Cruz. But he secretly asks Pearl to take his mother to another hotel, without Julia knowing. In the court, Victoria is once again called to testify and talks about the affair of the death of Katie Timmons. Keith wants to prove that it is against her and that he has bitterness but not against Cruz. Then it is Cain's turn, this shows the force of love which joins Eden and Cruz, and therefore the impossibility of Cruz's relationship with Elena. T.J. tells Jake that he is still madly in love with Laken. In the absence of Ted, he goes to the guest house and finds Laken naked under the shower, unable to turn off the taps. Hayley, who is at home, surprises them both under the shower with a spyglass. Thanks to the notebook of Mason, Keith discovers where the key mystery witness for the defence is hiding. He goes there, at the same time when Pamela confesses to Mason that Gina knows of her existence.
- Mason just has the time to hide Pamela in the bathroom before Keith enters into the hotel room. Mason lets him think that he is there in gallant company with Julia. Keith makes fun of it and hastens to visit Victoria to announce his discovery. Keith also speaks about it to Gina, who understands that it was not Julia who was hidden, but probably Pamela. Thanks to Pearl, Julia finds Pamela and asks her to testify voluntarily in the trial. She makes her read a hopeless love letter which Eden wrote to Cruz, to convince her to accept. Ted goes there earlier than envisaged, while T.J. is still under the water, to repair the shower of Laken. Laken asks him to remain hidden, while she gives in to Ted's advances to prevent him from going to the bathroom. In the cell, Cruz is confronted with a sadistic and violent security guard, who hides the good-luck charm which Eden had given him to give to Cruz. Eden requests to judge Larson to authorise her to visit Cruz in prison. The judge ends up accepting and Eden finds Cruz finally in his cell.
- Julia is called to immediately go home, because a fire took place in her kitchen. But Samantha and her nanny are safe and sound. Gina extorts some money from Pamela in exchange for her silence concerning the fact that she remained hidden from police and from justice for weeks. To tranquilize Victoria who accuses him of sleeping with Julia in a hotel room, Mason explains to her that it is in fact the hiding place of his witness - due for a surprise in Cruz's trial. Jeffrey tells Kelly that his mother is alive. But when he learns that she is about to testify in the trial, he opposes to the decision, fearing that she finishes on the stand. But Kelly manages to reason with him. The trial continues, first with Sophia's evidence, who also assures that Cruz has never been the lover of Elena. Then Harold Jenkins, the witness who saw a veiled woman escaping by running from the Laser Palace the evening of murder gets on stand. Julia then announces the visit of this woman to the stand and Mason lets Pamela in. In front of an audience thunderstruck, she declines her identity and removes her veil finally... The last scene of this episode allows us to finally discover the face of Pamela Conrad in its entirety, without the veil.
- On the stand, Pamela comes and reveals to be the mother of Elena. She explains that she had taken back contact with her daughter after her return to Santa Barbara and that she had followed her the evening of her death up to the Laser Palace. Having heard a gunshot, she saw a rather old man leaving there by running and preferred running away also to avoid the police. Eden and Cruz are delighted with this evidence, while Sophia understands that C.C. lied to her these last weeks about the secret appointments of business. Keith fears a defeat and begins by bearing a grudge against Gina not to have informed him of Pamela's return. Gina tells him that she got some money for her part, which surprises Keith because Pamela declared to have come back from England penniless. Victoria must go away for the film with Mel, and entrusts Chip to Pearl. She comes back some hours later in an advanced state of glow and is embraced by Mel on the sofa, under the eyes of Pearl and Julia, who has come to her assistance. Mason confronts his father about Pamela, when he understands that he already knew about the "resurrection".
- Mason wakes up on Julia's sofa having spent the night there to sober up. Victoria arrives and surprises them around Samantha. Once again, she gives in to the cocaine to overcome this. Laken accompanies T.J. in the search to find a flat. But they have an accident in the van. T.J. comes out of it with both arms in plaster. Laken offers to accommodate him for the night, which hardly pleases Ted. Alex accuses Pamela of having revealed to Elena that her true father was C.C., which was the reason for her psychological issues. Keith and Gina investigate the origin of the money that Pamela suddenly earned some days after her arrival to Santa Barbara. By entering the bank account of C.C. on the computer, Keith discovers that he paid 100 000 dollars to a name with a code of "lilac", probably Pamela. He informs Julia that he has proof showing that Pamela remained voluntarily hidden from the police during these weeks. Pamela visits C.C. and offers to return him the money which remains, as she intends to stay in Santa Barbara.
- Jake reappraises the turn which his career is taking and hesitates in his choice to play an actor in Mel's film. But Hayley succeeds in persuading him of the benefits. Cruz's trial resumes. Keith calls Gina to the stand. Gina tells everyone that Pamela suddenly was living another lifestyle some days after her arrival in the city. Pamela then explains that she accepted 100 000 dollars from C.C., but only with the intention of her leaving Santa Barbara. Keith questions C.C. finally and declares to suspect him of having paid Pamela with the intention of perjury in the court to exonerate Cruz. The trial ends and jurors leave to deliberate. Eden accuses her father for this act and to be the possible reason of the conviction of Cruz, by having destroying - even involuntarily - the only means of defence which he had.
- Everybody waits for the end of deliberation of the jury in Cruz's trial. In the presence of Kelly, Pamela announces to Jeffrey that she has decided to stay in Santa Barbara after their marriage. Finally, the verdict comes: Cruz is found guilty of premeditated murder. He continues proclaiming his innocence facing jurors. Eden asks Carmen to be strong, whilst they are waiting for the sentencing. Pamela tells Alex that she knows that it is him that she saw leaving the Laser Palace the evening of the murder and asks him to speak to the police. C.C. loses his temper against Gina. Gina collapses to the floor in front of the entrance of the court. Eden joins Cruz and, by getting up from her chair, asks him to keep hope.
- Victoria claims some drugs from Mel. Victoria now is paying for her own consumption. Shortly afterwards, Victoria and Mel find Julia and Mason having dinner at Johnny's. With Mason being too drunk to go back to work, Victoria takes him back to their flat, while Mel walks Julia back to her home. He offers her a "tonicr" in the form of cocaine, which Julia is offended by. Eden asks Cain to help her to walk. Lionel comes to listen to Sophia's concerns on her marital difficulties with C.C., while C.C. visits Pamela and demands that she leaves Santa Barbara. But she then threatens him to leave and taking her two sons and Kelly with her. Scott explains to Gina that her blindness may only be temporary. Gina wants to hide the truth from Keith, but he ends up noticing it. After a violent brawl with Keith across the bars of his cell, Cruz has nightmares of seeing the walls getting closer and suffocating him.
- Mason offers to his mother to remain living in Santa Barbara. C.C. asks Kelly and Jeffrey to abandon the idea of inviting Pamela to their marriage. Kelly then threatens him with getting married in Las Vegas far from any family. C.C. tells her of very serious disagreement with Pamela, but refuses to explain. T.J. asks Scott to allow him to keep the plasters another week, so that he continues staying at Laken and Ted's place. Mel announces to Jake that his benefit as an actor did not persuade him, but some new stages in his film could better suit him. It is entirely removed stages of love that Jake refuses. Mason goes on the set of the film and finds Victoria in full stage naked, in the bed with her partner. He puts an end to the scene. C.C. comes to see Gina in the hospital to be sure that the blindness is very real. Gina asks Scott to get him outside of her room.
- Cruz visits Eden who's in jail.
- Jeffrey surprises Kelly by organising a romantic party inside of a truck for their first adventures. Gina agrees to invest 10 000 dollars in T.J.'s plan to buy back The Purgatory. Laken is made responsible for persuading with her charms the owner of the box so that he agrees to sell it to her and T.J. for retail price. Agreement ends without worries. Gina and Scott begin going out together and join Hayley and Jake in the Purgatory. C.C. informs Ted about the plan of escape for Cruz during the marriage of his sister. Sophia tells C.C. that she lost any confidence in him after the lies about Pamela.
- Cain prepares explosives for the place where the ceremony of Kelly and Jeffrey is going to be held. With Eden, they plan the route which Cruz will have to follow to escape. Kelly and Jeffrey arrive and Cain is forced to confess their plan to them. Against all expectations, Kelly is passionate. Julia surprises Mason and Eden by speaking about the escape. First bothered to ridicule justice, she forms a line with their plan. In the cell, Cruz discusses his escape with Pearl, who tells him about the places in the plan. Cruz also informs Carmen of what is planned. Victoria, who has a feeling that something is being hidden from her, leaves the marital home with Chip. To make go her back, Mason has no other choice than to include her in the plan. In the Orient-Express, everybody including Pamela is out for a dinner on the eve of the marriage.
- The wedding day has arrived. Mason comes to find his sister in her room. On the tone of confidentiality, she confesses to him that she and Jeffrey know about Samantha. In the park of the Capwell property, Cain ends up installing explosives to be used with a remote control before the arrival of the guests. Cruz arrives, accompanied by policemen present at every corner of the property. So that Gina forgets her desire to attend the ceremony, Scott takes her to a chalet in the mountains. Gina offers to tell him more about the darker aspects of her past. Finally the ceremony begins. Kelly arrives on board of a coach with her father, who then drives her in front of the altar. But Keith has already left the guests to snoop near the stash of explosives... A young actor replaces Justin Gocke temporarily in the part of Brandon DeMott Capwell.
- In the intimacy of the chalet, Gina and Scott get closer. Gina tells him that she is not in love with Keith. The wedding ceremony of Kelly and Jeffrey continues. Both pronounce their wishes and are joined by marriage ties by the priest. Cain gets ready to blow up the explosives, but Brandon is taking photos in front of one of the stands. Cain moves him aside from it and Eden takes the initiative in operating the remote control. Thanks to explosions, Cruz avoids the surveillance of Keith and of the policemen, and runs away across the gardens. Caught by Keith, he stuns him, takes his keys to remove his handcuffs and continues running. Carl, one of his jailers, lets him flee and Cruz escapes from the property on one of the horses which had brought Kelly on her coach. Keith loses him and accuses all Capwells of involvement in the escape. As Cruz was spotted in the hills, Mason, Julia and Ted leave to his rescue. Eden stays with Cain and both hope that Cruz will be able to join the cave where he was supposed to be able to hide... A young actor replaces Justin Gocke temporarily in the part of Brandon DeMott Capwell. Scott, by discussing with Gina, mentions his brother guitarist Travis, whom one will never discuss again in the series. Gina makes, her, mention of a dead brother, Hayley's father.
- T.J. rented one of the suites at the Capwell Hotel to find a place to live and to welcome future investors. He enquires about ideas of promotion for The Lair from Laken, Hayley and Jake. Cruz is still in escape on horseback across the hills. Pearl makes wrong appeals on the police radio to blur their tracks. Keith is joined in the local guardhouse by Julia and Mason. But exceeded by the presence, Keith leaves them by car in the heart of the countryside. The lawyers take refuge in a cave for night, when a snake waits for them. Mason is bitten, but the leather jacket avoided any danger. Helping promiscuity, Julia and Mason get closer and make love. Against the opinion of C.C., Eden and Cain leave the Capwell residence by the famous tunnel. Eden then shows Cain that she is capable of walking. Lionel joins them in the middle of the tunnel and helps them to go out on the side of his property, to avoid being seen by the policemen. Eden and Cain become established in the home of a fisherman near the ocean to watch for Cruz's arrival... The decor used for T.J.'s hotel room is the same that the one which is usually used for Lionel's bedroom in the Lockridge mansion.
- Julia and Mason currently have to take their night of love, without being able to plan what could happen to their relationship. Victoria, who feels lonely, asks Mel to give her some cocaine. Mel tries to use this situation to embrace her. Victoria finally confides in Kelly of her marriage problems. Cain swims up to the secret spot a cave accessible only by the ocean, to leave food for Cruz. Cruz, still on horseback, is chased by a helicopter. On his edge, the bounty hunter hired by Keith fires at him again and again. Julia and Mason, who found Keith's car and the sheriff's car, try to them prevent shooting. Suddenly, Cruz falls from the horse and collapses to the ground. Eden and her family, informed by the police radio, fear the worst.
- Gina learns from one of the nurses at the hospital that Scott is a big fan of baseball and decides to make him believe that she plays it herself. Cruz waits for the bounty hunter to come towards him to grab his weapon and to hit him. He pulls on the engine of the helicopter to immobilise it and takes back his running on horseback. United the Capwells are relieved to hear on the police radio that Cruz is safe and sound. In The Lair, T.J. accepts the visit from Olivia Welles, obviously an older and luckier mistress. She offers to invest in the establishment. Having been pushed away by Hayley and Jake, T.J. accepts the offer with fireback to take in a little money into the plan. Keith brings Julia and Mason back to the Capwell residence and announces to Victoria that both lovers spent the night together. He asks to see Eden and discovers that she disappeared. She indeed left with Cain to join Cruz, who discovered the secret cave. She swims up the inside and shows herself to him, in silence, standing on her two legs.
- Julia informs Mason that she's transferring with her job to Boston.
