- Luc arrives back but tells Sasha he isn't staying particularly after he finds Eddi and Max in a compromising position in his lab. But Sasha's persuasiveness wins over. Meanwhile, Jac and Mo operate on a radioactive patient against Hanssen's advice. Elsewhere, Chrissie's 40th birthday is made known to all by Sasha but Chrissie's non too pleased with the news getting out.
- In the midst of planning a trip away with his friends Harry forgets that it is Mary-Claire's 30th birthday. But when Mary-Claire overhears Gemma and Harry talking she exacts her revenge - a pricey night out courtesy of Harry's credit card. Arthur struggles after the mugging as Chantelle returns to work. But Chantelle's determination to move on is threatened by a difficult patient and which makes her turn to Arthur. Meanwhile, Mo tries to get through William's first birthday but it is not made easy by the arrival of the daughter of an ex-patient's mother - who's determined her daughter is not going to suffer the same fate as her son.
- Jac starts out to impress new acting-CEO Imelda Cousins but finds herself going against Imelda's wishes that she not take in any new patients. Elsewhere, Lilah knocks heads with Malick but which brings her closer to Ric. Meanwhile, Serena runs afoul of Imelda after it emerges that when they first worked together previously Serena made Imelda's working life hell and Michael and Ramona go on a date.
- Frieda struggles to get through the day following the death of her father and it's not helped by Lulu trying to usurp her with Michael and a patient who claims he can hear dead people including her father. Meanwhile, the board of St. James's descends on Holby in the wake of the reshuffle and causes upheaval in both Elliott and Sahira's lives leading Sahira to resign. Elsewhere, Ric's daughter Jess decides to go live in Jamaica with her mum but due to the board at Holby Ric doesn't get to the airport to say goodbye in person.
- It's Sacha's birthday but Sacha is not in the mood to celebrate as he and Chrissie await to hear how suitable a match Daniel might be. When Sacha finds out information that could hinder the donation he withholds the news from Chrissie. Elliott discovers Oliver sleeping in the on-call room and attempts to send him home. But Oliver pleads for leniency and Elliott puts him on a minor case with Harry. Meanwhile, Michael's daughter Jasmine arrives from the US but he has to postpone plans to be with her when a young terminal patient presents in Holby and he is asked to operate to prolong his life.
- Chrissie and Sacha's relationship becomes very strained and it comes to a head at his daughter Rachel's fund-raiser when he thumps an over-attentive Michael. Chrissie finally tells him she has cancer. Elsewhere, Serena's mum is re-admitted to hospital and has to face the facts that she may have to move in with Serena. Meanwhile, Elliott and Sharon look to going away until she tells him she is pursuing a PhD back in the US.
- Luc Hemingway's former patient, Dean Delaney, returns to Holby looking for Luc and his ex-wife but when he finds that Luc has left and access is denied to his wife he takes Gemma hostage. Malick passes his consultancy exams but finds it difficult to acknowledge his relationship with Nathan Hargreave. Ollie asks Tara to go for an exploratory scan but Tara rebels and tells him she wants to do things her own way.
- Allie and Rhys investigate the brutal death of a charity worker and as their investigation unfolds they discover a revenge motive stretching back over 25 years.
- A routine homicide investigation for the crew turns into a defense of one of their own, when Det. Simon Joyner is put in the frame for murder.
- Sacha runs into monetary problems whilst trying to finish the sale of his new home with Chrissie. Meanwhile, as Ollie tries to psych himself up to present his research at the Awards dinner Jac assigns him to a case which leads him to diagnose a rare condition. Elsewhere, Chantelle misinterprets Lleucu's good intentions over Ollie.
- Jonny and Jac continue to bicker over the welfare of their unborn baby. Sacha and Rachel await the bone marrow results but when the results disappoint Sacha turns to Daniel - his young son - much to Chrissie's consternation. Malick tries to cover his tracks over his non-psych referral of Amanda Layton but when Hanssen uncovers the truth Malick's career hangs in the balance.
- Lulu refuses to be discreet in her relationship with Michael but in craving Michael's attention for surgery experience will she go too far? Meanwhile, Chantelle tries to repair Simone and Elizabeth's relationship before she is moved from Holby by organising a picnic but Simone gives Elizabeth some of her medicine in her drink poisoning Elizabeth. Elsewhere, Greg continues to push his self-destruct button and his cavalier attitude leads to one of his patient's dying.
- Sacha proposes that he and Chrissie move up their wedding date in the most unromantic way - to save taxes! Hanssen continues to get hate mail and phone calls from Ritchie Mooney's aggrieved son Nick. After Hanssen confronts him in the hospital car-park Nick handcuffs him in his booby-trapped van. Subsequently Hanssen admits that he is responsible for Ritchie's death but is injured accidentally with a nail gun. Jac believes that she might be pregnant with Jonny's baby and her day is not helped when George shelves her during filming for a television programme in favour of Elliott and Mo overrides her on a lung operation.
- A patient with a mysterious tattoo turns up in Holby and triggers Luc's memories of being in Sierra Leone. Lilah has to work hard to get back Ric's respect and Chantelle searches for a venue for her New Year Eve party only to discover that Mary-Claire has designs on Rhys.
- Gemma volunteers for the night shift on Darwin as it's on her next rotation. But it doesn't go as smoothly as planned. Chrissie and Sacha reach breaking point and Oliver makes a decision after his erratic behaviour endangers a patient. Elsewhere, several patients gang up on Arthur to get him to ask Chantelle out.
- Michael finally realises that Sunil may not be what he seems to be - and that there maybe a serious problem with the breast implants as a series of women present themselves with follow-up problems. Eddi becomes personally involved with Josh's physio but it could endanger her career. Elsewhere, Chantelle tries to get Elizabeth out of her very reluctant shell. But Chantelle doesn't tell Elizabeth that her mother was asking for her and is distraught when she finds out.
- When Domestic Cat Regulations come to a head in Rainbow's End, Louisa finds her two closest friends, Deb and Marg, fall on opposite sides of the argument.
- Eddi returns with Luc to Holby after she succeeds in battling her addiction but the pressures of her return to ED result in her slipping back into her old ways. Luc reports her to Michael who gets her brother Liam to take her away to recover. Elsewhere, Elliott's artificial heart trial looks like grounding to a halt until a chance at getting Hanssen to fund it looks like re-engaging it. Meanwhile, Chantelle and Mary-Claire go head-to-head for the permanent nursing position.
- Greg's former teenage patient Lucy Haines's father is admitted with stab wounds and he later has a discussion with Lucy which alludes to her having stabbed him. But she refuses to talk to the authorities and in the meantime her father accuses Greg about his intimate relationship with his daughter leading Hanssen to think about sacking him. Breaking down Greg tells Elliott about his past. Greg finally decides to resign and heads back home to Ireland. Elsewhere, Michael struggles to relate to his daughter and Malick has to eat humble pie and apologise to the widow of his bowel patient.
- Still in shock after finding out about their unborn baby's diagnosis Jac and Jonny deal with the fallout in different ways. Malick asks Hanssen about becoming a consultant but Hanssen feels Malick hasn't proved himself yet and working with new F1 Zosia probably won't help his case. Chrissie starts her first radiotherapy session and finds a friend in fellow cancer patient Tim.
- Michelle is car-jacked with baby James in the back seat, sparking a desperate manhunt and rescue for Dean, Vince and the team.
- Nick has the chance to run the station during Tom's absence, but his job is made more complicated by the discovery of an unidentified body in Mt. Thomas which brings Nick's old Homicide Squad rivals to town.
- Michael returns to Holby but Hanssen removes him from private practice at Holby Care and so he has to go on public wards where he foolishly convinces a patient to go private after his planned operation has been cancelled. Dan is conflicted over his feelings for ex-nurse Stephen and gives into his urges outside Holby only to be caught by Greg. Sahira clashes with Gillian, the new theatre liaison manager that Hanssen appointed, but it's not long before Gillian feels she's in the wrong place and resigns.
- Max begins behaving erratically after seeing a sickle-cell patient and then removes drugs from the drug cabinet. He is later asked to leave theatre by Eddi when it becomes obvious he is under the influence of drugs. Elsewhere, Tara tries to deal with an OCD patient not helped by Jac's overbearing attitude. Meanwhile, Malick has to deal with a manipulative student and needs Ric's guiding hand to sort her out.
- Arthur gets jealous of Chantelle's attention to his Wilson's disease patient Charlie. Serena's ex-husband Edward Campbell begins a stint in Holby and battle lines are immediately drawn. Meanwhile, Elliott's dog Samson is knocked down by Sharon. After Samson is operated on Elliott discovers he has bone cancer and has no option but to have him put down.
- Sacha's daughter Rachel gets bad news and now must look towards a bone marrow donor; Jac struggles with whether she should tell Jonny that she is pregnant; Arthur tries to woo Chantelle with an old-style mixed cassette tape but he just cannot pull it off and Harry continues to needle Gemma.
- Eddi's younger brother Liam continues to mess us but in doing so begins to take an interest in surgery which is nurtured by Luc. Elsewhere, Elliott's hope of relocating Holby's discarded equipment to the Ukraine hits a snag with an over eager disposals man and Holby bureaucracy. But help writing the proposal from a long-term seriously patient might just swing it with Hanssen. Meanwhile, although the butt of surgery jokes Tara diagnoses that a patient with Parkinsons is self-medicating with Ecstasy which was missed by Frieda and Malick.

This prompts Maeve to seek an intervention to get JoJo the help she needs - but JoJo doesn't take it too well. Kate's milks the situation for all it's worth - glad that the attention is off her. Later, whilst doing inventory Chris makes a move on Kate and they are unknowingly discovered by Emma. Selena overhears Geoff telling Fiona he is leaving money for her and helps herself to some of it but when Geoff suspects her she denies it. She later tries to seduce him. Barbara, a tax inspector, makes an impromptu visit to RAW after she sees Dan, a known acquaintance. Later, Dan confesses to Barbara that he has upcoming surgery but hasn't told anyone. Meanwhile, Geoff tutors Philip for an upcoming commis chef job and Shane grows closer to Rose.
- Jojo's in free-fall from her drinking and after many errors and a complete dressing down of Philip before his big competition leads Geoff and Fiona to fire her from her job. Meanwhile, guilt is attacking Kate after her tryst with Chris and she endeavours to turn things around - but is it that simple? Philip gets ready to present for his big cooking debut but will Jojo's outburst put him off? Elsewhere, Selena is determined to put a wedge between Pavel and Geoff to order to have Geoff to herself and Ed refuses to see Fiona.
- Pavel remains unhappy with Selena in Geoff's life and asks her to move out only to be told that she is married to Geoff. When Pavel confronts Geoff he confirms that it is true and he did it to get a work visa and urges Pavel to thread carefully with her as she volatile. Jojo looks to moving abroad but tries to repair her relationship with Philip first before he moves home. Shane confronts Kate about her infidelity and tells her to leave - that he cannot trust her any longer. Philip's father comes looking for him and injures Pavel in the process. Later, before the staff dinner Geoff tells Fiona that he and Pavel are going to move to Prague and he wants to give Jojo another chance and he invites her to apply for his job with Philip as her second. But then Pavel suffers a brain haemorrhage after his earlier injury and collapses in Geoff's arms.
- Jojo returns to Dublin and RAW with a surprise announcement - she has just got married to Anthony, an American writer, and wants to throw a wedding party at RAW. Fiona and new temporary & hot-headed chef Max draw sparks off each other at the same time that Fiona breaks up with Ed. Fiona gets good news on the health front. Shane and new front of house manager Amy become close which doesn't impress Kate. Elsewhere, Philip's cousin Brian arrives unexpectedly and wants to stay for a while with Philip.
- Jojo finds out the hard way that Anthony does not like it when his plans are thwarted and it doesn't help that he finds Philip near Jojo every which way he turns. When Jojo is offered the position of head chef in Fiona & Geoff's new restaurant and Anthony is given a magazine job in Egypt will this be the straw that broke the camel's back? Meanwhile, Kate enlists Shane's help to secure a premises for her new pop-up champagne bar which doesn't go down well with Zoe. Elsewhere, Fiona sees a new side to Max at Emma's 18th birthday party.
- It's the day of Kate's official opening of her pop-up bar "Kitty's" and it doesn't go well for her in the run up to the opening. Philip is jealous of Emma's continuing friendship with Brian but refuses to tell her how he feels about her. Fiona continues to deny her feelings for Max and goes for a drink with a police officer at Kate's pop up bar - and Max isn't too happy. Meanwhile, Jojo finally decides to give up on Raw and move with Anthony on his travels - but is she doing the right thing?
- Kate continues to needle Zoe by flirting shamelessly with Shane as she sets about growing her pop-up business. Emma realises that Brian lied to her about knowing the thugs who tried to rob Raw. Geoff arrives back from his travels and tries to throw himself back into work and the social scene but memories of Pavel make it hard for him. Meanwhile, a jealous Max decides to stay on at Raw after Jojo's departure to thwart Fiona as she goes on a date with Calum. Elsewhere, Max challenges Philip to come up with a 'special' dessert.
- Geoff's father Peter makes a surprise visit from Australia to support his son on the anniversary of Pavel's death. Geoff is reluctant to deal with the day but after Fiona forces him to take the day off and go fishing with his father his feelings come to the surface. Peter asks him to return to Australia to take over the family business but he refuses. Meanwhile, Shane is in deep water after his on-the-cheap wine guy did a run with money from RAW. Zoe steps in to help Kate with her finances and ends up using the money from Kate's business to bail out Shane. Elsewhere, Brian takes Emma away for the day but their return to RAW isn't too pleasant when Fiona informs her that the car they were driving was stolen. Max continues to flirt with Fiona and continues to wear her down.
- Geoff scatters Pavel's ashes and has a change of heart - he will be returning to run his dad's restaurant in Sydney. Shane and Zoe panic about getting Kate's money returned to her before she realises. Help comes from an unexpected source - Max. Meanwhile, Jojo makes a decision on her marriage to Anthony and decides to leave with Geoff for Australia. Elsewhere, Max buys Geoff's shares in RAW and becomes a partner with Fiona. Brian decides to leave for Ibiza but after talking with Philip abandons his plan to bring Emma with him.
- Luc, preoccupied with a patient with an assumed identity and not getting to the bottom of the patient's diagnosis misses an appointment with Liam. Elsewhere, Tara finds a way to deal with death in a most unexpected way. Meanwhile, after Rafi resigns from his post to take up a new job in Nottingham, Greg confesses that he's in love with her and Henrik sidelines Sahira in favour of Jac over her patient's operation Sahira makes a decision to save her marriage and leave with Rafi.
- The man who shot the police minister cuts a deal so he can see his pregnant girlfriend. In exchange he'll reveal the location of the murder weapon.
- Shannon struggles to overcome the impact of a personal crisis, and must face her demons in order to save a woman's life.
- Sunil and Michael re-operate on one of their patients who has a faulty silicone implant but Sunil's poor decisions and his ability to take no blame will affect Michael's career. Meanwhile, Elizabeth's mother Simone's condition worsens but Elizabeth still cannot get answers as to why Simone treated her so bad during the childhood. Elsewhere, Josh pushes himself to hard in order to get Eddi's attention.
- Lilah makes her accusations formal and Imelda tells her the Trust will be going forward with formal charges. Meanwhile, with Lilah's threat hanging over him, Ric assisted by Malick operates on cancer patient Mary Thorne to give her a new lease of life, which she at first resists. Elsewhere, Mo faces a dilemma when Albie, her married boyfriend, brings his dying wife Jan to hospital for treatment. Should Mo step aside?
