Dean and Sam interviews a survivor in a psychiatric hospital, who believes that had seen a passenger opening the emergency exit of the plane, which would be impossible for a human being. They investigate the wrecked plane and find sulfur on the lever of the emergency exit and conclude that a fiend had possessed a passenger and caused the crash. When the surviving pilot dies in another plane crash, they track another survivor, the stewardess Amanda Walker, and convince her help them to exorcise the demon from the co-pilot of the flight.

First, he learns from Aaron that Majid Nassar was murdered by an unknown perpetrator while in custody, this news which will remain out of the media until Tom gets some concrete answers as to what happened. Second, he finds from Emily that Weston, upon touching down in Moscow, was arrested for possession of performance enhancing drugs, specifically human growth hormones (HGH), found in his luggage, an offense in Russia punishable by life imprisonment. And third, he is told by Seth that a reporter has a source, a lawyer representing a convicted criminal, stating that the convict is Leo's biological father, with the reporter waiting for confirmation from Seth as to the story's validity. Aaron and Emily urge the President to get a good news story out in the media immediately - specifically naming Congressman MacLeish as his Vice-President - to get their PR back on a positive track. With the first, Jason, who is summoned into a meeting with the president, is urged by Hannah to divulge to the president what they know about Congressman MacLeish's involvement in the bombing and thus Nassar's murder. Under the circumstances, Jason is unable to do so. He and Hannah, who goes to one of her old secret CIA sources to assist in discovering the identity of Catalan, will find how far those for who MacLeish is working are willing to go to get MacLeish in the position of power. With the second, Secretary of State Anne Paulsen and CIA Director Carrera inform Tom that Weston was working unofficially for them, as he was willing to provide information on what he saw on any of his overseas trips in his capacity of honored guest in those countries, which means that the drugs were planted by the Russians in knowing that he is an American spy. In Tom discussing what seems to the impossible diplomatic situation with his team, Emily thinks she has a play that can get Weston released. They will find that others have their own plays in response. And with the third, Tom, who was aware of the existence of "Jeffrey Meyers" in Alex's life before they met and the possibility of him being Leo's biological father (a DNA test which was never conducted to prove parentage), and Alex have to decide what to do not only about the story but about telling Leo.

Tom, Cornelius and Seth are on their way to Toronto for the NATO summit, where much of the discussion is planned to revolve around nuclear deescalation. Cornelius warns Tom that despite the French having brought up the issue unofficially, they may have a different stance on the matter in public unless all the ducks are in a row. Beyond Seth's first experience on Air Force One not being quite what he expected, all three men find that the NATO summit doesn't proceed the way they expected, each of the three who deal with slightly different issues, all circling back to a story that hits the media in the early hours of the gathering. Meanwhile, John and Mike continue to work on finding Hannah and discovering who the mole in the White House is. With the latter issue, Mike calls in Chuck, who he hopes will be able to do some computer forensics to find out who deleted the files. Based on what he sees of what has happened thus far, Chuck thinks he has a way to set a trap for the mole. Hannah discovers how tenuous her situation is when she sees where she is being held captive. Knowing that escaping on her own is a near impossibility, she has to find a way to get word back to John and Mike as to her situation. And Aaron, who did not follow Kimble into her new role as Secretary of Education, has to figure out what his next professional move will be.

The team is called to work on a case on the Mexico border, where two otherwise previously healthy men were found with their right leg amputated. One man did not survive the "operation" while the second, college student Tony Anders, only remembers bits and pieces in what he previously thought was a nightmare. The nature of both amputations show the team that the unsub has some knowledge of anatomy, but it is unclear if the unsub is/was a medical doctor. But when a third victim stumbles into a hospital, the team has a slightly clearer picture of the unsub's motives: he is trying to do live leg transplants, which is medically impossible, leading the team to believe the unsub has a God complex. They have to figure out how he is choosing his victims, and the reason he is trying to perfect this operation before they can find him himself. A secret relationship of Reid's provides a little assistance on the case, at the risk of the team discovering this relationship Reid wants kept secret and which he does not fully comprehend himself.

When Joey barges in the bathroom, the boat gets a more modest purpose.

When Chronos attacks and enters the Waverider, Hunter takes off leaving Ray, Kendra and Sara In 1958. Eventually Chronos leaves and takes Snart and damages the ship making it impossible for them to go where they want. Ray and Kendra assimilate to their life in 1958, Ray becomes a teacher and builds a beacon so that the Waverider can find them. But it arrives two years later. They ask what happened to Sara, Ray says she left and they don't know where she went. They try to find her and discover that she rejoined the League of Assassins. So they go and try to get her but she turns them over to Ra's al Ghul who plans to execute them for trespassing. But Rip who knows about League and their ways makes a plea that their fate be decided by combat. But al Goul says one of them has to fight Sara and Rip chooses Kendra but she hasn't be able to tap into her abilities since she and Ray were left in 1958. On Chronos' ship Snart discovers who grabbed him.

He says he can get them out but first he wants them to arrest a man in LA. So Kensi and Deeks are sent to get him, Granger tells them to bring Beale with them and with his help they get him. So Pavel arranges for Arkady and the man to be injured so that they would be brought out of the prison to a hospital for treatment. So while on route, they grab them and when they have no exit plan, the CIA man says he can find them a way out but Callen is uncertain if they can trust him but he decides to take the chance. And they meet a man who seems familiar to Callen.
Anna Kolcheck is off to attempt freeing her scoundrel father Arkady from a Russian top security prison. Although official permission is impossible due to diplomatic risks, Callen -who hopes to find his father there- is determined to go help with Sam and their mysterious Moskow CIA contact Randall Sharov alias Balinski, Owen and Hetty lend a discrete hand. Strangely the only way to get Arkady out is to kidnap and blackmail party animal jailer Vlad Lukov, the CIA man sets a strange prize, which Deeks, Kensi and filed newbie Beale fix in LA, to help arrange a 'medical' transport so they can raid that. It leads the team, handicapped by a wounded Arkady, to recluse Garrison, maybe shortened G.

Lindsay awaits to see when she can talk to the girl but when she lashes out the doctors sedate her making it impossible to talk to her.

Frustrated at the Warden's defiance, the people who want Lincoln dead decide to circumvent the penal process by enlisting an inside man to take Lincoln out himself. Headcounts keep requiring Michael to be back in his cell at regular intervals, and the interruptions are making it impossible for him to finish his work. Sucre tells him that the guards don't bother with counts when there's a lock-down, so he disables the air conditioner circuits on his next trip out. With the temperature rising, the cons start causing trouble, and a lock-down is announced. Unfortunately, tempers have already flared past the boiling point, and a riot breaks out before the cells can be closed. Oblivious to the chaos going on, Michael and Sucre go behind the wall together to work on drilling through one of the last walls to an abandoned sewer line. One guard, escorting Lincoln, gets caught by the prisoners and dragged back to general population. In the course of preparing to torture and kill the beaten man, Teabag (as well as the guard) inadvertently discovers the hole in Michael's wall. As the cliff-hanger episode ends, Michael is caught in a stand-off over who will make it out of his cell alive, while rampaging prisoners in the infirmary are about to break down the door into Dr. Tancredi's clinic.

Self tells Mahone that he sympathizes with him and he also lost his wife and baby. White is worried with the disappearance of Andy Blauner, and T-Bag is interrogated by a detective that is investigating it. Gretchen arrives with a pistol in General Krantz's office; he calls her "my girl", kisses her and recalls her failure in the Police Academy because of her psychological test. T-Bag changes Andy's sale records and convinces White that he has embezzled Gate. Bellick has a surprising attitude in the water duct.

Carcetti leaks information to the press about Royce holding back money to train new police cadets, and Burrell is placed in an awkward position when Royce proves determined to spin the situation to his own advantage. Omar and his crew decide to attack a Barksdale stash house, but get more than they bargained for. With the wires dead, the MCU is instructed to pursue a new target, much to McNulty and Greggs' chagrin. Meanwhile, as the Homicide Unit bid farewell to one of their own, Bodie's crew clash with Marlo's, and Bunk is given a seemingly impossible task.

Disgusted over the death of Bodie, McNulty has re-joined the MCU, determined to bring down Marlo, but in doing so has quickly returned to his old drinking and womanizing ways. Having turned down the offer of money from the governor of Maryland, worried about the ramifications for his own gubernatorial run, Carcetti must try to make up the $54m education deficit via cutbacks. This has led him to delay the promised increase in police pay, with newly promoted SIC Carver trying to placate the Western District troops, as they reach breaking point. Meanwhile, Burrell and Rawls explain to Carcetti that without budgetary assistance from City Hall, they cannot deliver the reductions in crime on which he campaigned. The FBI offer to help work the vacant murders investigation, but on the condition that Bond take the Clay Davis corruption case federal. When he and Carcetti refuse, the FBI withdraw their proffered support. As such, the MCU is shut down. Similar cutbacks in The Baltimore Sun newsroom make it increasingly difficult for city desk editor Gus Haynes to maintain the paper, finding staff cutbacks making efficient reporting virtually impossible. Elsewhere, Bubbles moves into his sister's basement in a concerted effort to get clean, and at a meeting of the New Day, Marlo's behavior gives Slim Charles cause for concern.

The series elaborates on Dr. House's struggle with the chronic pain in his leg paired with his drug addiction, his lonely love life, his impatient determination to solve every puzzle he encounters, and includes some witty comedy as he interacts with arrogant patients and other people throughout his day.

The team explores three theories, each impossible to prove - a cancerous tumor that hasn't formed, Rabbit Fever from a French restaurant that's cleaner than a hospital, and African Sleeping Sickness when no one has ventured south of New Jersey. Each treatment is different and potentially life-threatening, with time running out. Meanwhile, a large-breasted woman in the clinic suffering shortness of breath prompts House to call Wilson for a consult.

Now with a body to take care of, Chris suggests they go to the Pine Barrens and dump it in the woods. Once they arrive, however, they discover Valery is still alive. After a chase through the woods, the pair realize they're lost in the snow in the middle of the night with no shelter and no way to call for help. Meadow, meanwhile, continues to see Jackie, but becomes distraught when he keeps leaving their dates early. Growing suspicious, she follows him and catches him with another woman. In a similar situation, Tony finds himself facing Gloria's anger when Irina calls him in the middle of one of their dates. After mentioning to Dr. Melfi that Gloria is easily angered and impossible to please, the doctor draws a connection with another woman in Tony's life, but he fails to see it.

But problems in her chromosomes have caused her to be a flawed copy, resulting in a bad temper, with the power of super-speed and telekinesis. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor plans his wedding with Helen, while Lionel gives Lex a free airline ticket for a honeymoon in the Caribean, and to tie up some loose ends over the Emily cloning matter, and to take control of the old cave away from Lex.

Allan was dumb enough to give his number -he bragged about getting a nice low one by calling in for an appointment- away to a young mother, obviously unworthy of help, and wants to confiscate the winnings for a not yet existing college fund, but Charlie insists to let him spend it, alas after a few minor luxuries on something nobody enjoys in the end...
