As Michael attempts to fix all of the holes opening up in their previously impenetrable world, more fissures open. The friendship that has held them together starts to collapse. 48. Let's Get Spunky! (2012 TV Series)
"Let's Get Spunky!" is the retro-spoof debut comedy from the deranged minds at Seriously Distur6ed Studios, LLC, written and directed by Robert Glenn Plotner. Imagine falling asleep while watching TVLand and awakening in a world of classic era television where everything has been turned on its head, demented and smartly twisted as if Mayberry had been invaded by Monty Python or "Leave it to Beaver" had become entwined with "Family Guy." In the pilot episode, 8-year-old Spunky Wisenheimer joins the Army's Guinea Pig Corps and gets firsthand experience with above-ground nuclear testing. The fallout takes Spunky into a darkly comic landscape populated by escaped mutants, desperately lonely Army Nuke testers, strange appendages, a heroic lactating dwarf, and a G-Man with an unusual interest in taking Spunky under his wing. Classic television will wake up with a terrible hangover, jump in the shower, and try desperately to scrub all the dirty away - but it will never, never be the same. "A Blast From the Past" is the test pilot currently being pitched in hopes of finding poor orphaned Spunky a home.
49. Girl Walks Into a Bar... (2012 Short Film)
This PSA focuses on sexual assault on college campuses. Interviews with college students, footage from college parties, and police ride-alongs show how students under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs can make dangerous decisions. Detective Juliano offers advice on how to stay safe with friends at night in public areas. The video also explores how college students are desensitized to rape. Meg Bossong from BARCC (Boston Area Rape Crisis Center) expresses her concern that often people view rape in a humorous light. TV shows like South Park, Family Guy, and 30 Rock play a huge role in this issue. Important facts are brought to light in Girl Walks Into A Bar... In most cases, a rape victim knows his or her assailant. In Boston, 43.1 (per 100 thousand) people are raped per year. Of that number, 75% know their assailant. The Purpose of Girl Walks Into a Bar... is to warn, inform and protect college students about behaviors, which often lead to sexual assault. This video will ideally be shown at college orientations and placed on college health clinic websites.
