Simon Allen is a British Screenwriter/Producer. Film credits include writing and Executive Producing Netflix original horror Choose or Die (2022) which went to Number One on Netflix in the US, UK and around the world, stars Asa Butterfield, Eddie Marsan, Robert Englund and Iola Evans, features the first film score by The Prodigy's Liam Howlett and received an honorable mention in Variety's best horror films of the year.
With director Toby Meakins, Simon Allen created horror shorts Breathe (2013) for the BFI Gothic Season, Molins Film Festival winning Lot254 (2012) and the Cannes Lion-winning horror Floor 9.5 (2017) for FX which stars Georgina Campbell of Barbarian (2022).
TV credits include writing and Co-Executive Producing on Season Three of Apple's Emmy-winning spy thriller Tehran (2020), creating and show running BBC America's RTS winning punk rock queer fantasy comedy The Watch (2020) (described by SFX Magazine as a 'gleeful 21st century remix', TV critic Matt Roush as 'the craziest, most enjoyable series since AMC's Preacher ended' and The LA Times as 'a colorful, energetic treat'), writing and producing on Sky's Das Boot (2018) and serving as a show runner on BBC One's international hit The Musketeers (2014).- Talent Agent

J. Simon Allen grew up in a working-class family in the America west. Captivated by the moving image from a young age, he moved to Los Angeles and debuted with the award-winning short film, Mr. Marceau. He followed with the ambitious western thriller, The Condemned. Eschewing genre, Allen pursues highly cinematic, character-driven stories told on the broadest of canvases. After more than a decade in Hollywood, Allen is now based on the east coast.
