Robert won a scholarship to Drama Centre London and after graduating, trained further in physical theatre at the renowned Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow. He has performed internationally as an actor and stand-up comedian in Dublin, Norway, Russia and New York. Robert is a three time Edinburgh award winner, including Two plays and three short films as a writer-performer for his own company Ninth Life. Additional theatre includes the critically acclaimed One Jewish Boy at The Old Red Lion and reprised in the West End, The Mikvah Project, a national tour of King Arthur, Stop-Look-Listen, as Caliban in The Tempest, But A Dream and as Gontran working with Nicky Henson and John Cleese in Bang Bang. His TV career began at an early age when he landed the regular role of Jeremy the bully in the BBC's Grange Hill. He teaches film and TV at NFTS. A native Brooklynite, Robert Dominick Jones was one of the original members of the famed Everyman Theatre Company of Brooklyn. Founded by Geraldine Fitzgerald and Brother Jonathan Ringkamp, this troupe was the premier Street Theatre company in the 1970's. They performed original musicals including "Everyman and Roach", "Elena", and "Mister Esteban" as well as the Classics at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center, and Summer festivals in parks and city streets. He is honored to have studied at The Stella Adler Acting Conservatory during this wonderful time. He also workshopped with Judith Malina and Julian Beck of The Living Theatre. He performed numerous plays with The Everyman Company and other productions at great venues around New York City and Brooklyn. After a stint in the U.S.Navy in the mid-seventies, Mr.Jones headed west to venture into film and television where he guest-starred in a number of TV series.- Art Department

"Robert Jones is an independent film producer, writer and director. Carry It On, a feature length documentary starring the folk singer, Joan Baez, was released in theaters worldwide. Mission Hill, also released theatrically, has won numerous prizes including Best Feature Film at the Athens International Film Festival, Best First Feature Film at the Houston International Film Festival and Honorable Mention at the Sundance Film Festival. He has also won numerous awards for his documentary films, which include The War Comes Home (about returning Vietnam veterans) and No Expectations, which focuses on drug abuse. His career includes teaching production at Boston University, Loyola Marymount University, Columbia College, California State University, and now Central Florida. Recent work includes an episodic television series on life in a film school, entitled Dodge University, Fetus Fetish (a black comedy) and American Soldier.
