Born in Upminster, Essex, England in 1927, Richard Johnson attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and then performed in John Gielgud's repertory company until joining the navy in 1945 until 1948. After the war, he appeared successfully in the West End and made his film debut in the early 1950s. The debonair and handsome Johnson was a natural to portray playboy type characters, perhaps the most memorable being "Bulldog Drummond" in Deadlier Than the Male (1967) and Some Girls Do (1969). Later in his career, he turned to more serious roles, such as "Marc Antony" in Antony and Cleopatra (1974), and also tried his hand at producing in the late 1980s.- Art Director

Richard started performing when he was 4 on the Jack Sherrick Show. He studied performing arts at Grandview High School and The Ohio State University before getting his first AEA contract at The Little Theatre On The Square in Sullivan, Illinois, working with stars like Virginia Mayo, Pat Paulsen, and Tom Poston. In 1978 he moved to California where he studied with Nina Foch, Peggy Feury, and Larry Moss. His Hollywood career began opposite Patty Duke in " Before and after", later landing a recurring role on Dukes of Hazzard. In 1997 he founded the drama department at Malibu High School , afterwards he spent 5 years as artistic director of The Malibu Stage Company where he was nominated for an NAACP award working with Obba Babatunde. His favorite job was coaching baseball and basketball with his three sons and playing "husband" to his beautiful wife Cindy ( going on 50 years of marriage). He is the lead singer/rhythm player in his band (Rick, James and Caroline) He believes in weight training and yoga and spends time bicycling long distances, and working as an actor.- Special Effects
