Paul Greenberg is an Emmy winning writer and performer who emerged on the comedy scene in the mid-90's as a member of the Canadian comedy troupe, The Vacant Lot. After years of playing the famed Rivoli Club in Toronto, the troupe made the transition to TV with the Lorne Michaels produced sketch series, The Vacant Lot, for Comedy Central. This prompted Paul's move from Toronto to Los Angeles where he continued performing as a cast member of the cult favorite sketch shows, The Jenny McCarthy Show for MTV and the music based sketch show, Random Play for VH1. Other appearances include Shempy the Vampire on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the waiter who follows Helen Hunt across the dance floor in As Good As It Gets and with his wife Jackie Harris Greenberg, the Porno Gil episode Curb Your Enthusiasm. Paul has continued creating and starring in projects including the comedy series, International Ghost Investigators: Hollywood Division for DirecTV and co-created with Joey McIntyre, the sitcom Return of the Mac for PopTV . Paul's work as host writer for Neil Patrick Harris has earned him Emmy and Writer's Guild Awards. Paul has also done extensive voice work for some of televisions most popular animated shows, such as Jimmy Neutron, Invader Zim and most recently, the Japanese animated series, Yo Kai Watch, where he played over 15 characters. Paul lives in Los Angeles with his wife, comedic actress, Jackie Harris Greenberg, and their son Donovan. Paul Greenberg is an award winning commercial director and producer.
Originally from Liverpool, England, Paul's interest and education in film making began at the age of 13, when he began making dozens of short films and corporate videos. He started his first production company, Man Made Productions Inc. when he was 17.
He was awarded the Sony Young Filmmaker Award for his original film about his hometown and then became the youngest applicant admitted to the Prestigious Manchester Metropolitan University Film Program, where he focused on film Directing, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honors).
The day after he graduated University in 1992 Greenberg moved to Los Angeles where he quickly moved up the ranks. Within three years he had already landed his first film directing gig, shooting "It's a Digital World" on the Universal Studios Backlot. Featuring a cast of hundreds, this live action kids Rock-Opera also featured a technologically advanced computer animated character, a ground-breaking feat for its time. Greenberg's most prescient act as director was to discover child actress Jessica Biel, who went on to achieve international acclaim as a Hollywood leading lady. Greenberg also produced the feature "Angels with Angles" starring Rodney Dangerfield and Frank Gorshin (playing the roles of G-d and George Burns respectively) in what would become the final movie performances of their lives.
After getting married and starting a family, Greenberg turned his attention to the lucrative Direct Response Television business for the next decade, achieving unprecedented success, working with major talent like: Shaquille O'Neal, Mr. T, and Judd Hirsch. The 90+ half-hour TV shows he produced and directed grossed over $3.5 Billion dollars in sales.
Greenberg worked as Vice-President of Production at Sylmark (1999-2006) then as Chief Creative Officer for Thane Direct (2006-2010).
In 2011 Greenberg formed his own commercial production company, Greenberg Direct, Inc. His commercials have won 9 ERA Awards, 14 Telly Awards, 7 Communicator Awards, 6 EmPixx Awards and 8 Aurora Awards.
Man Made Productions continues to develop feature film projects and is developing multiple feature screenplays.
Paul lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 6 children. He is a Voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and is a Licensed Private Pilot.- Producer
