Michelle is a chameleon of an actress and a visionary leading the way in scripted social impact entertainment (SIE)
She co-created and acted in the DOWN THE MIDDLE, 55 minute proof of concept, comedy series with Heather Dowling. Recently produced by Tom Bergeron, Drama 34 Productions, Jasmine Lou as well as her company Pulvis Solaris Productions. It's a beautifully produced odd-couple comedy, full of heart about partnership and working with people you don't understand - and maybe can't even stand to be around sometimes. The series also introduces the tactic of "non-violent communication (NVC)" in a bite-sized way to encourage people to discover how to communicate from different perspectives.
Her acting experience has traversed mediums in film, series, as well as live immersive theater around the world. Continuing with her scripted SIE commitments, her company Pulvis Solaris has a massive sci-fi series in development, "2115". Her company is also developing the unscripted playful series, "HELLO HONEY", that celebrates the history and current relationship of bees and beekeeping around the world.
Early in the pandemic days she followed her curiosity in wondering how we, as a society, can normalize the trauma conversation in popular culture. Out of this inquiry, "OKTRAUMA.COM" was born in connection with Ted Saunders (Infinite Studios). Currently (April 2022), this platform is refining it's focus with the question, "What would our world be like with trauma-informed journalism community? What if our major media outlets had a responsibility to bring the news through a trauma informed lens?"
Michelle was born in Minnesota, daughter to Louise and Bruce Barton, with a vision...that still plays out in her work today. She and her best-friend, would imagineer dog shows with her dog Buddy, wanting to send all the money to places in the world where the people seemed to be hungry and need it. Though she did not succeed in ending world hunger back then, she's bringing that playful wink into her creative community and commitments as an actress and visionary storyteller, intrigued and infinitely curious and inspired with our evolutionary process in this wild world we live in.- Actress
