- Matthew W. Davis (born May 8, 1978), also professionally known as Matt Davis, is an American actor who is known for his roles as Adam Hillman on the ABC comedy-drama What About Brian from 2006 to 2007 and Alaric Saltzman on The CW fantasy drama The Vampire Diaries from 2009 to 2012. In 2014, he returned as a series regular for the sixth season, he starred on the short-lived CW mystery and horror drama Cult as Jeff Sefton, and had a recurring role on the CBS police drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Sean Yeager.
Davis was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Woods Cross High School, and the University of Utah. He was briefly married to actress Leelee Sobieski in 2008.
Davis co-starred with Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair in the comedy Legally Blonde (2001), as Warner Huntington III, who breaks up with Elle Woods (Witherspoon).
His notable film credits include Blue Crush (2002) with Kate Bosworth and Michelle Rodriguez, Tigerland (2000) with Colin Farrell and BloodRayne (2005) with Kristanna Loken.
Davis starred in The CW fantasy drama The Vampire Diaries, as Alaric Saltzman since 2009 and starred in the short-lived CW mystery and horror drama Cult, as Jeff Sefton that same year.
Davis had a recurring role in the CBS police drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation from 2013 to 2014 in the 14th season, as swing shift CSI Sean Yeager. He appeared in the sixth episode titled "Passed Pawns", the eighth episode titled "Helpless", and the 13th episode titled "Boston Brakes".
He later returned to the hit The CW show The Vampire Diaries as Alaric Saltzman once again as a series regular. - Actor

Matthew Patrick Davis is an actor/songwriter/musician who most recently portrayed "The Mother" in 20th Century Studios' hit horror film, "Barbarian." As a songwriter, he has co-written & produced songs for the upcoming season of "The Ghost and Molly McGee" on the Disney Channel and "T.O.T.S." on Disney Junior alongside series songwriter, Rob Cantor. He was also commissioned to write a children's album, "I Love My Dog," for the screen-free audio device, YOTO Player. He's written music and lyrics for a number of comedic songs and musicals for the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, the San Francisco SketchFest, and his YouTube Channel, including most recently, "PUN-OFF: A Musical Inside the High-Stakes World of Pun Competitions." Mada's journey on planet earth started on a sunny Sunday after noon of 4th of July in Tehran, Iran. At the early age of 6 he discovered his passion for different kinds of art form, specially for performing arts. He performed in many children shows and started learning professional acting in the Academy of Iranian Cinema from different masters like Jamshid Mashayekhi and Mohammad Hatami. In 2001, one of his productions was awarded by the 19th International Fadjr Theater Festival and soon after he moved to the US to study Cinema Production in California.
In early 2006 he discovered his passion for music and joined an international pop band called Juniors5 produced by the legendary Shahbal Shabpareh and experienced singing on different stages worldwide.

Director Matthew Davis' eclectic career has also seen him as Cinematographer, Editor, Prop Master and Art Director. As screenwriter, Davis wrote SKULDUGGERY, the Silver Winning Family Film in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, and is developing the screenplay as an Episodic and VR Experience for Ultraspect Media. Davis' screenplays have been Finalists and Semi-Finalists in the Nicholl Fellowship, Austin Film Festival, and Project Greenlight.
Drawn to comedy, Davis directed the first season of the (2018) sitcom, "Humor Me," the comedy pilot, "Jaded," has written three Sitcom pilots, and directed several comedy sketches. In addition to his scripted directing, Davis has directed hundreds of hours of live performances with audiences up to 80,000 (Rolling Loud 2021, Miami).

Best known for his first starring role in Bloodwood Cannibals & Double Minded Man, Matthew Corbett Davis was born in Vallejo, California on February 24, 1979.
