Taylor John Smith is an American actor. He is known for his role as John Keene in the series Sharp Objects. Notable films in which he has appeared are Wolves (2016), You Get Me (2017), Hunter Killer (2018), The Outpost (2020) and Shadow in the Cloud (2020).- Actor John Smith was born Robert Errol Van Orden in Los Angeles. He began his career singing with The Robert Mitchell Boy Choir, a group which appeared in two Bing Crosby films, Going My Way (1944) and The Bells of St. Mary's (1945).
His agent Henry Willson, who also gave Tab Hunter and Rock Hudson their names, changed Van Orden's name to "John Smith". Robert Hofler, author of "The Man Who Invented Rock Hudson", reports that an actress identified as Pocahontas Crowfoot was in the courtroom when the name change was granted.
In We're No Angels (1955), Smith had a small role as "Arnaud", the ship's doctor. Aldo Ray, observing the doctor in full dress whites, says "he looks like a glass of milk". John Smith's other film credits include Circus World (1964) and Justin Morgan Had a Horse (1972). Smith also appeared in the television westerns Cimarron City (1958) and Laramie (1959). - Actor

John N. Smith was born on 31 July 1943 in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. He is a director and producer, known for Sitting in Limbo (1986), Revolution's Orphans (1979) and The Boys of St. Vincent (1992).- Tim grew up in a log cabin in Oakham, Massachusetts. He acquired his love of hunting, fishing and all things outdoors from his father, Dale Francis Smith. He received his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Alex Costa of Gracie Barra Back Bay in Boston, MA. Presently he trains under Alan Teo of Renzo Gracie BJJ. He started with the acting thing in High School like many men of his ilk, because of his girlfriend at the time, Erin. He dabbled a bit in college, then experimented a bit more after graduating from Saint Anselm's with a degree in something related to philosophy and biology. College studies were not his strong suit, a testament to that being the fact that his wonderful biology mentor, Prof. Barbara J Stahl, who has since passed, recommended that Tim immediately run off to NYC and become an actor. He almost did. He was cast as Riff Lorton in Worcester Forum Theatre's (RIP) production of West Side Story which landed him on 60 Minutes ever so briefly. The director of that production, Brian Tivnan, helped Tim get into grad school at Trinity Rep (AKA The Consortium) and the rest is history. He bopped around the country doing musicals and plays, spent a wonderful decade in Boston doing good work with good people, and now he resides in scenic West New York, New Jersey, which is an actual place in New Jersey. Not New York.

John is an award-winning, classically-trained, character actor who's worked in CT theatre scene for nearly 30 years.
John has been addicted to performing since childhood. First, improvising puppet shows with his brother & cousin, and later making up superhero adventures for captive family audiences in his grandparents' basement.
Over time he started to hit the harder stuff: school plays & memorizing stand-up albums.
Upon moving to MD in his teens, he lucked out to find his local HS had one of the best theatre programs in the state. This allowed him to attend student workshops & perform at festivals at The Folger Library in DC and Ball State in IN.
He dabbled briefly in college. Quickly realizing academics were not for him.
He stuck it out a couple years just in case, but only learned to trust his first instincts.
After marrying Tanya Feduik-Smith & moving to her native CT, they became involved in one of many doomed efforts to reopen Stratford's legendary (and now sadly, destroyed) Shakespeare Festival Theatre.
Through this effort, they were invited to Playing Shakespeare USA, a weekend intensive, with RSC Co-Founder, the late John Barton.
John was also included in a reading series of new, yet to be produced plays: Monsters w/ James Earl Jones, Whitechapel w/ Julie Harris, & Voodoo Mambo w/ Millicent Martin
So the time spent wasn't a total loss.
Following a hiatus to focus on raising the family & a burgeoning career as a metal trader, John returned to performing working primarily at The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport CT.
Following his performance as Harding under Tanya's direction in The Bijou's award winning, crowd pleasing, and critically acclaimed production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest, they joined a revamped Bijou staff as Artistic Consultants & Producers of it's newly renamed live theatre wing: The Bijou Actors' Guild.
Unfortunately economic struggles forced management at The Bijou to call it quits soon after, and he & Tanya spun off The Guild into Vagabond Theatre Company, where they work as Artistic Directors.
In addition to The Bijou, John has performed and produced at theaters around CT including: Algonkuin Theatre Company, Godlight Productions at Long Wharf's Stage II, Wilton Playshop, Eastbound Theater, Clockwork Rep, & Town Players of New Canaan.
He has also played leading and supporting roles in a short and feature films. Including his multi-award winning performance as Bernie Davis in The Woodsman, and the upcoming Omnes Films feature: Eephus.
He has been nominated for multiple OnStage Critics' & BroadwayWorld Awards for his theatre performances around CT.
As a producing team, John & Tanya's shows have garnered over 70 nominations for OnStage Critics' & BroadwayWorld Awards, including 20 productions nominated in BroadwayWorld's 2020 - Best of the Decade.- Producer

Composer, church organist, and early musicologist John Stafford Smith was born in March in 1750 in Gloucester, England. He was the son of church organist Martin Smith and was baptized in Gloucester Cathedral on March 30. Smith attended the Gloucester Cathedral School, where he was a boy singer. John was a choir boy at the Chapel Royal in London, England and studied under famous composer William Boyce. Smith was elected as a member of the select Anacreontic Society and composed the music for the society's constitutional song "To Anacreon in Heaven" (a.k.a. "The Anacreontic Song)." "To Anacreon in Heaven" was first published by The Vocal Magazine and was later adopted as the melody for the American national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner." Moreover, he was a lay-vicar of Westminster Abbey and the organist at the Three Choirs Festival held at Gloucester in 1790. In addition, Smith was a serious antiquarian and musicologist who collected works that dated back to the 12th century as well as manuscripts by noted composer Johann Sebastian Bach. His work "A Collection of English Song" was published in 1779. This was followed by the publication of "Musica Antiqua" in 1812.
