In his senior year of high school Taylor attended Lower Columbia Community College on Washington State's running start program where he joined the theater department studying under Don Correl. Taylor moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 19 to continue to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
In Los Angeles, Taylor attended Santa Monica College for two years earning an A.A. degree in business administration and ultimately graduated from Marymount California University earning a B.A. with a dual emphasis in business and arts/media.
Taylor then went on to Southwestern Law School's acclaimed accelerated 2-year J.D. program in Los Angeles, CA where he studied international art law in London for a summer, as well as fashion law, and copyright law. He went further and earned an LLM (post-graduate Master of Laws) in Entertainment and Media Law from the Biederman Entertainment and Media Law Institute at Southwestern Law School where he studied intellectual property law including, advanced copyright, trademark, entertainment and media law, intellectual property licensing agreements, contract law and more.
After moving to Los Angeles Taylor began working at Universal Studios as a security guard working on many productions. He was assigned as the lead guard on The Nutty Professor II initially, and eventually was working with the production behind the scenes as a production assistant, and then in front of the camera as a featured extra where he earned his SAG card. Thereafter, Taylor had a few years as a free-lance on-set, and in-house production assistant with various production companies throughout Hollywood where he climbed the ladder at Our Gang Productions to an associate producer and junior writer.
Taylor founded the Art Showcase, a television program that sold fine art on television via a live broadcast. The program aired nationwide for three years throughout the United States and the United Kingdom selling fine art in a live auction on TV. Taylor was the C.E.O. of the company, filling the shoes of line producer, executive producer, and on-air show host.
