Ivo Müller Jr. was born in the Santa Catarina Island, Brazil, to Stella Maris Oliveira and Ivo Müller, both public workers. He is of Portuguese and Indigenous (mother) and German and Northern European (father) descent. After discovering a love of live performance in middle school, Ivo earned a B.A. in Law before abandoning his career in favor of acting.
Ivo's acting credits include a stage production of Twelve Angry Men, and Tabu, a critically-acclaimed, multi-award winning 2012 Portuguese movie that won the Critics Best Picture award at the Berlin Film Festival. Ivo has worked with studios including HBO, Sony, and Globo TV. Can be seen as a compelling AIDS-stricken hairdresser, appearing opposite Andrea Beltrão in Hebe: The Brazilian Star (2019), in both the feature film and the television biopic. He's worked mostly in indie films, including US's feature Proof Sheet (2023) and most recently in Aly Muritiba's upcoming feature, Barba Ensopada de Sangue. Alongside his acting career, Müller worked as an acting teacher and producer. He is the acting coach in the awarded documentary Cine Marrocos (2018), where he coached homeless people and refugees living in an abandoned movie theater in São Paulo.
