- George Pappas embodied the term "ethnically ambiguous" before anyone knew it existed. He has played the white character in Black and Latino productions but has also played Latino, Italian, German-Jewish, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, depending on what is called for. A first generation Greek American, George would nevertheless label his own ethnicity as "Native New Yorker." George has been a reliable presence in theater groups and in the casts and crews of many television shows on both coasts, working various jobs behind the scenes (director, director's assistant and dialogue coach) as well.
