He has provided full service production to large mainstream award show events, including the Governor's Ball for the Oscar's and Emmy's and the Grammy's celebration for 20 years, as well as presidential campaigns, internationally-broadcast fashion events, and art shows, parades for the Lakers World Championship, and advised on integrating new technologies into some of the largest exhibits and trade show booths around the world. He focuses on new and unique technologies such as large format projection, LED display solutions, and interactive projection and displays. David holds a BS in Music from the University of Colorado. His business has won multiple awards, including the Clean California Business Award in 2015 for installing a warehouse solar panel system, and various special event awards including Best Use of Technology, Best Video Company, and Best Product Innovation.

He was born in Chicago and raised in Dolton, Illinois. He was the 7th child born to John and Dorothy Doeseckle Clayton. He attended Thornridge High School and began his under-graduate work at Illinois State University. His classmates included Terry Kinney, Rondi Reed and Francis Guinan, all members of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
While studying in Dallas, Texas, he performed in a production of The Madwoman of Chaillot with Academy-Award winning actress Mercedes McCambridge.
In 2016, he retired to live in Europe.
