Alan McKenna is a freelance video/film producer, director, and writer based in his hometown of Nashville, TN.
After his degree in television production from M.T.S.U., Alan immediately started to hone his skills leading production management teams on the sets of high-profile country music videos over several years that included stars Reba McIntyre, Toby Keith, Pam Tillis, Alan Jackson, Marty Stuart, Tracy Lawrence and many others. He then went on to produce and direct the TV pilot, "Partners In Design" for HGTV starring Jennifer O'Neill, then over the next several years produced and directed numerous commercials and award-winning short films around the region including his own short, "Silent Affair."
Alan's career also had extensive stops along the way with two advertising agencies acting as Creative Director, Senior Producer, and Brand Manager. He worked exclusively as lead Writer/Producer/Director with many clients nation-wide involving various productions including commercials, promos, and long form content. During this time, he was also able to work as a screenwriting instructor for Watkins College while at times serving on the board of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association.
More recently, Alan has produced three major projects for the TV/Film production company, Uproar Pictures. For Uproar, he produced and shot the television pilot "Wrestling Amateur Kaos," produced the psychological horror feature film, "The Odds," (worldwide distribution) and the demonic-possession horror feature, "Gates of Flesh" scheduled to be released in fall of 2023.
Over the past few years, Alan started a successful business designing TV and Film pitch decks along with constructing first-draft film budgets and schedules for numerous A-list filmmakers and production companies across the globe.- Alan McKenna is known for Hey You Broken Man (2013).
