The International Black Women's Film Festival is now called Black Laurel Films. Adrienne M. Anderson is the executive director and founder of Black Laurel Films.
Black Laurel Films uses the cinematic narrative to normalize the presence of women of color as equitable partners in creative visual storytelling.
Through the International Black Women's Film Festival, audiences are treated to panels and discussions by the leading filmmakers, industry professionals and distributors, while also having an opportunity to relax and socialize during festival mixers and celebrity appearances.
