Theodore Ushev was born in Bulgaria and earned a master's degree in graphic and poster design at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia in 1995. He taught there for several years before moving to Canada in 1999. He works in multimedia, illustration, animation and has exhibited his posters in Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Japan, Denmark and Russia. His digital animation films have been selected by many festivals, including Annecy, Ottawa, Sundance, Toronto, Montreal, Valladolid, Rio de Janeiro, Dresden, Tampere and Leipzig. Theodore has since 2003 worked regularly in the Animation and Youth Studio at the National Film Board of Canada. He designed and animated the Engrenage web portal, which earned him the Grand Prix Boomerang in 2004. He also developed the site In vivo for the Canadian pavilion 2005 World Exposition in Aichi, Japan. Prolific director, Theodore Ushev completed 3 other films between 2005-2007 - The Man Who Waited, Tower Bawher, and the children movie Tzaritza, which became world-wide hits on the festival circuit scene. In 2007 he completed his movie Sou destined for the mobile devices as part of the 10 movie-series The Art of Seduction, together with directors as Denisse Villeneuve, Guy Madin, and Isabella Rosselini. The series are aired on Bravo TV, Sundance TV channels, and MSN Networks. Now Theodore Ushev works on an animated biography for one of the most charismatic Canadian Directors, Arthur Lipsett. He is in charge of the new IMAX Stereoscopic Animation department of NFB.- Haim David Oliver is a Bulgarian writer , publicist , writer and journalist . He is known as the author of children's and teenager's adventure and fantasy works. Haim Oliver (Ollie) was born in Kyustendil on January 8, 1918. He studied economics , music and journalism, graduated from French College in Sofia in 1936. Then he studied (at the same time) two years in External Relations at the Higher Institute of Economics in Vienna and composition, singing, piano in the same city. Since 1938 he had tackled with the illegal activity prohibited on the territory of the Third Reich. He was captured and sent to a concentration camp, from where he escaped. After the war he had worked as a correspondent for various newspapers and radio. In 1959, he graduated from journalism school in Sofia. He is an author of several works and scripts for films (fiction, popular science and animation). He was a laureate of communist awards. In science fiction he had debuted with a child's novella "The great march of dinastronavts" (1966); on its base is made a film "the Federation of dinastronavts." in 1984. He died on 7 August 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
- Boris Grey (born Boris Mitov) is an English-bulgarian singer, songwriter and producer. His musical career began at age 15, when he started attending singing lessons at the music school in Sofia. In 2017 he started singing different covers of George Michael, Elton John, Harry Styles & Mark Ronson which he uploaded on YouTube & SoundCloud. He then began contacting various labels while looking for a music manager.
Grey was born in Kyustendil (Bulgaria) 03.01.1996, and his parents are lawyers. They got divorced when he is age of 8. He also has a twin brother Alexander who is IT specialist, little sister Despina and older brother Ljubomir. In 2019 he moved to London to follow his dream in music. A few months later he returned to Bulgaria and in 2021 he returned back in London in order to gain international recognition. - Mikhail Mikhajlov was born on September 6, 1921 in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. He graduated from the History of Arts in Berlin, meanwhile ends and Theater School in the class of Professor Akerman in Vienna. He worked in many Bulgarian theaters, of which most in the Military Theatre and heater "Tears and Laughter". He was in the troupes of Gabrovo Drama Theater, Pleven Drama Theater, Ruse Drama Theater, Pernik Drama Theater and Kyustendil Drama Theater. Most of the viewers, who remember him from his films, will probably be very surprised that he never had any serious state recognition. His bad luck was that as a student in Germany during the War II, he was invited to read the news in Bulgarian on German Radio. Today we have a similar case a rescue and forgiving formula: "These were hitherto our times". He died in Sofia on January 4, 1998.
