Kristy Swanson is an American actress from California. She has had an active acting career since the 1980s. Her most memorable role was playing the original version of Buffy Summers in the horror comedy "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992).
Swanson was born in Mission Viejo, California, a planned community in Orange County. It is located in a hilly region, 49 miles (79 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. Swanson developed an interest in acting in early childhood. She started pursuing roles in television commercials at the age of 9, and first appeared in a commercial for doll houses. She continued to regularly appear in commercials for a few years.
Swanson received acting lessons from "The Actors Workshop", an acting school developed by Canadian actor R. J. Adams (1942 -2015). In 1984, Swanson started appearing in one-shot roles in television. She gained attention for playing Stephanie Brandon in the episode "On the Street" (1985) of the police procedural "Cagney & Lacey". Her character was a teenage prostitute who was considered a key witness in a murder trial. For this role Swanson was nominated for a Young performer award, the "Best Young Actress - Guest in a Television Series". The award was instead won by rival actress Jaclyn Bernstein.
In 1986, Swanson had the supporting role of Jennifer Davis in the television film "Mr. Boogedy", a ghost story about a haunted house in New England. She had a minor role in the teen comedy-drama film "Pretty in Pink" (1986). as the new love interest of the character Duckie Dale (played by Jon Cryer). Swanson's next starring role was in the psychological horror film "Flowers in the Attic" (1987), concerning children held captive by their abusive family. She played Cathy Dollanganger, the elder sister among the captives. The film earned about 15,2 million dollars at the domestic box office. There were plans for a sequel film, but it ended in development hell. In 1987, Swanson joined the cast of the soap opera Knots Landing (1979-1993), in the recurring role of Jody Campbell. She appeared in a total of 8 episodes, leaving the series in 1988.
Swanson had her first main role in a television series in the short-lived medical drama "Nightingales" (1989), where she played student nurse Rebecca "Becky" Granger. The series was controversial at the time for its overly sexualized depiction of nurses. It inspired a protest campaign by the American Nurses Association, causing several sponsors to withdraw their support from their series. The series was canceled after a single season and 13 episodes, plus a television film. There was later a revival of the series' concept under the title "University Hospital" (1995), but Swanson was not involved with the revival series.
Swanson had her first film role in years in the romantic comedy "Dream Trap" (1990). The film depicted the romantic fantasies two teenagers have about each other. Her co-star for this film was Sasha Jenson (1964-). Swanson's next notable film role was in the fantasy comedy "Mannequin Two: On the Move" (1991). She played Jessie, a 14th-century peasant girl who was turned into a statue by a sorcerer. She is revived in the late 20th century, and falls in love with a descendant of her original lover. In the film, Buffy is a high school cheerleader with an ordinary life, who discovers that she is the latest in a long line of female vampire slayers. She has to stop a vampire army from taking over Los Angeles, at the cost of alienating her friends and losing her boyfriend. The film was modestly successful at the box office, earning about 17 million dollars. It was more successful in the home video market, and inspired the spin-off television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997-2003). Swanson had no involvement with this series, replaced in the title role by Sarah Michelle Gellar (1977-).

In 1998, Swanson was part of the cast in the disaster film "Ground Control". The film concerned the efforts of air traffic controller to perform their duties during a severe storm and a power outage. Actress Lea Moreno got her start in community theater in Orange County. She studied at South Coast Repertory for ten years before landing her first screen roles shortly after graduating from high school. In 1995, her tenth and eleventh auditions landed her guest roles on the ABC sitcoms "Home Improvement" and "Step by Step". The following year, she made her TV-movie debut co-starring alongside Jonathan Brandis, Ariana Richards and Christopher Noth in the ABC movie "Born Free: A New Adventure". Moreno and Brandis played city kids who move with their businessman father to Africa, where they endeavor to return a captured lion to the wild. That same year she made her feature acting debut in a similar setting, the safari-set Tarzan retread "Jungle Boy" (a 1998 US direct-to-video release).
More TV work followed for Moreno, who guest starred on series including "Promised Land" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" (both CBS) and a recurring on "Clueless" (UPN) playing the snobby cheerleader Brittany. Additionally, she was featured as the daughter of a breast cancer survivor (Mary McDonnell) whose health is once again in jeopardy in "Two Voices", Lifetime's 1997 fact-based account of the class-action suit that rocked the silicone breast implant industry. Moreno followed up this supporting role with a starring turn as the leader of a group of heroic children navigating a post-apocalyptic lost world battling an evil-doer (Tim Curry) in Showtime's sci-fi original "Doom Runners" (also 1997). From 1998 to 1999, Moreno starred on the UPN hour-long drama "Legacy" as Alice Logan, a conscientious young teenager who takes over as the Logan's maternal force following her mother's untimely death. Moreno performed well in the role, winning over audiences as she portrayed Alice's shortcomings as well as her grace and indomitable spirit. Following the cancellation of the 19th Century American Reconstruction era serial, Moreno had a memorable lead guest role as a teenager meeting her father for the first time on a special two-hour Thanksgiving episode of NBC's hit drama "Providence" (1999). The following year the young actress returned to series television on The WB's quirky mid-season replacement sitcom "Brutally Normal" from the producers of "Popular." Here she took on the role of Anna Pricova, a smart and passionate high school student who was dealing with the ever ready trials of teenage life and the messes caused by her two troublesome best friends (Eddie Kaye Thomas and Mike Damus).
In 2000 Moreno landed the lead in an NBC pilot titled "Just Married", written by Jack Burditt of "30 Rock" and "Just Shoot Me" fame. She starred opposite Chris Evans ("Captain America" and "The Avengers") in this comedy about the trials and tribulations of getting married at a young age. The pilot did not go to series but NBC liked Moreno enough to ask her to join the cast of "D.A.G." playing Camilla Whitman, daughter of the President of the United States and First Lady. This multi-camera comedy, with an outstanding ensemble cast (David Alan Grier, Delta Burke, Lauren Tom, Paul F. Tompkins) only lasted one season but was a bright spot for Moreno as she held her own with some of TV comedies funniest, playing a sassy and smart, overly protected first daughter.
In 2003 Moreno landed supporting roles in two independent films. "Last Stand" and "Demon Hunter." The next few years followed with more supporting roles in independents as well as a lead guest star on the popular series "CSI Miami." Moreno played Kim/Demon leader of a gang of gamers that will stop at nothing to get what they want. In 2007 she starred in another popular series "Monk." In 2010 and 2011 Moreno and her husband Chris Young (Max Headroom, Great Outdoors, PCU) produced "Dead of Nowhere", a 3D feature film presentation starring Balthazar Getty and Lin Shaye.
2013 and 2014 saw a welcome change in Moreno's career, back to back roles playing a young mother. She co-starred in a feature film, "Sins of Our Youth", playing a young mom upset by the loss of her son to gun violence and then a guest star on the long running CBS hit, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, playing Karen Lewis, a wealthy, troubled young mother in rehab.
Lea resides in Los Angeles with her husband and their two daughters.- Trinidad Silva was born on 30 January 1950 in Mission, Texas, USA. He was an actor, known for The Jerk (1979), Colors (1988) and UHF (1989). He was married to Sofia Alvarez. He died on 31 July 1988 in Whittier, California, USA.

Dane Hanson is an award-winning filmmaker, television producer, comedy writer, and author. His first novel, "Worst Knights Ever," was published on August 22, 2023. It immediately became a number-one New Release on Amazon and has won multiple awards.
Dane got his start in Hollywood playing the dumb guy in more than 60 national commercials.
Dane is internet-famous for "Lie Detector," a video that is still constantly going viral all over the internet. It has over 100 million views combined, has been translated into 16 languages, and even used verbatim in a porn film. (not bragging)
For 11 years, Dane ran the critically-acclaimed sketch comedy show Sitcoms Blow. Working as head writer and director for 65 actors at its peak and performing more than 1500 live shows is where Dane developed his comedic writing and directing tools. "Lie Detector" was first performed live at Sitcoms Blow.
In 2007, at the height of his commercial acting success, Dane was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Dane beat cancer and eventually recovered, but it took years. With his acting career derailed, Dane pivoted to writing and producing TV. Dane produced a bunch of shows for Fox. He gave Taylor Tomlinson her TV debut on "Laughs." Although she obviously would've landed on TV without his help. He was also head writer and Co-EP of "Punchline," which was renewed for a second season. Dane was Supervising Producer for "Top 30" which got picked up for three years. Dane is also a frequent collaborator with comedian Steve Hofstetter.
Dane also wrote, directed, and starred in "The Female Orgasm Law," another original Sitcoms Blow sketch, which won the Audience Award for Best Comedy Short at the prestigious 2012 Friars Club Comedy Festival.
In 2021, Dane was named a finalist at UCLA for best spec script for his episode of "What We Do in the Shadows."- Art Department
