Marcus Lamb was born and raised in Georgia. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and, at the age of 19, received a Bachelor of Arts in theology. A minister since his youth, he met his wife, Joni, while preaching at her church. The two were married in 1982 and have three children, Jonathan, Rachel and Rebecca.
In 1985, Marcus and Joni Lamb founded the first dedicated Christian television station in the state of Alabama. After working there for several years, the couple moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to expand their ministry. They worked on television locally at first, and then began the Daystar Television Network in December of 1997.
Today Daystar is a global network with a presence in almost every country in the world, thanks in large part to the diligence shown by the Lambs. In addition to his work on Christian television, Marcus Lamb is an in demand minister and conference speaker.

Georgia-born Buster Brown began his musical career in his early 20s by playing harmonica at local dance clubs, and he made a few recordings in the 1940s. He moved to New York in the 1950s, and was eventually signed by Fire Records. He recorded the song he is best known for, "Fannie Mae", in 1959, when he was almost 50. The song went to #38 in the US Top-40 charts and shot to #1 on the R&B charts. He had a few minor hits after that, including a remake of Louis Jordan's "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby?" in 1960.
