Oprah Winfrey laid on a lavish bash for celebrities including Tom Hanks, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder to mark her Farewell Spectacular TV taping in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday.
Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Beyonce, Jamie Foxx and Madonna were among the stars who showed up to pay tribute to Winfrey, who will end her hit daily talk show after 25 years next week (begs23May11).
Winfrey was also serenaded with a live rendition of Amazing Grace by Aretha Franklin - and following the emotional taping, the TV titan was ready to party.
She hired the Four Seasons hotel in Chicago for the bash and played host to Hanks and Wonder, as well as Jerry Seinfeld, Kelsey Grammer, basketball hero Michael Jordan and her close pal Gayle King.
According to TMZ.com, Winfrey laid on a tequila station bar, food including shrimp cocktail and diced lobster tails, and her favourite desserts.
The Surprise Oprah: A Farewell Spectacular programme will be split into two and they'll air next week before she hosts her final Oprah show.
