Keith Simanton: IMDb's Managing Editor

Keith Simanton is the Managing Editor of IMDb, the #1 movie website in the world, and a longtime commentator on movies and the arts. Keith has been regularly featured as the “Movie Guy” on Seattle-area radio and TV stations. He is one of the “Oscar Experts” on Goldderby.com and travels to the major film festivals each year including Sundance, Cannes, Toronto, as well as being on the board of the Seattle Film Festival. Keith helped co-found one of the first movie websites, Film.com, and went on to review film for the Seattle Times, Movieline and Amazon.com.



Melanie McFarland: IMDb's TV Editor

Melanie McFarland has been IMDb’s TV Editor since 2008, and has served as a member of the Peabody Board, the body responsible for selecting winners for the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication’s prestigious Peabody awards, from 2005 through 2011. She gained national recognition for her critical insight as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s television critic between 2003 and 2008. Before working at the P-I, McFarland wrote about television and popular culture for the Seattle Times and The Oregonian, where she served as a member of the redesign steering committee for the paper’s Arts & Entertainment section in 1996. Her work has appeared in the Seattle Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Salon.com and Variety. She is a frequent guest on NPR and KUOW. She is a member of the Television Critics Association, and served on the American Film Institute’s Television Awards jury in 2004 and 2005.
