Thurman Testifies In Front Of Accused Stalker
Uma Thurman took the stand and faced her accused stalker in Manhattan State Supreme Court on Thursday, calling her experiences with Jack Jordan a "nightmare." The actress, who stood trembling on the witness stand, admitted she was "freaked out" when the accused allegedly delivered a card bearing a picture of an open grave and a man standing on the edge of a razor blade. Thurman said, "It was like a nightmare. It was scary." She recalled the disturbing note also featured the line "My hands should be on your body at all times." The Pulp Fiction star also told the court that when she called her parents, who testified in the case earlier this week, to alert them about what she had received, her father informed her that he had also received e-mail messages from Jordan. Thurman said, "I felt a stone drop in my stomach. The idea that this had a history made it even more terrifying." The actress refused to look at Jordan, who is accused of trailing and attempting to contact Thurman from early 2005 until 2007, as she testified. He faces a year in jail if he's found guilty of stalking and aggravated harassment charges. The trial continues.
Lowe's Wife Attacks Nanny Over Accusations
Rob Lowe's wife Sheryl has blasted the family's former nanny who has charged her with sexual harassment, calling the action "deeply offensive." Laura Boyce, who worked for the Lowe family last year, has accused Lowe of creating an "extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment," claiming her former boss quizzed her about the size of her African-American boyfriend's penis and regularly paraded around the family home naked. She filed papers in Los Angeles on Wednesday and staged an emotionally-charged press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred on Thursday to address her accusations. But Sheryl Lowe is fighting back. In a fiery statement, she says, "As a mother of two young boys, it is sickening and disgusting that Mrs. Allred and Ms. Boyce would stoop so low as to drag a child into this latest, baseless, predatory lawsuit. The charges against me are lies meant to embarrass and humiliate. I find it deeply offensive the false allegation that I would use racially insensitive comments."

The actress/singer was billed to appear at a Disney party in Orlando, Florida on Friday, but organizers have confirmed she won't be there. The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star hit the headlines earlier this week when a provocative bare-backed photo from the Annie Leibovitz Vanity Fair photo shoot appeared online. Leibovitz and the magazine's bosses have defended the pictures, saying the singer, her parents and her handlers approved of the images during the shoot. An "embarrassed" Cyrus has apologized to her fans.

Mariah Carey wed actor/rapper Nick Cannon at her home in the Bahamas, according to the latest reports swirling around the couple's shock marriage. Carey and Cannon staged a spontaneous marriage ceremony earlier this week after dating for just a month. New York gossip columnist Paula Froelich, who broke the wedding story, claims Carey refused to sign a pre-nuptial agreement before marrying for a second time. She adds that so few people were at the ceremony that "you could probably count them on two hands." Almost 24 hours after the news broke, both Carey and Cannon's representatives are still refusing to comments about the wedding rumors.

The movie will chronicle Springfield's rise to fame in the 1960s and touch on her battles with alcohol, drugs and mental health problems before her death from breast cancer in 1999. Madonna Joined By Timberlake For Secret Gig

Pop superstar Madonna gave fans a special treat at a secret gig on Wednesday - by bringing Justin Timberlake onstage to sing with her. The Material Girl was performing for a select group of fans at New York's Roseland Ballroom to celebrate the release of new album Hard Candy when her surprise guest was revealed. During the 40-minute set - the first time Madonna had performed tracks from Hard Candy live - she was joined by Timberlake for a performance of single "4 Minutes," which they had collaborated on. After thanking Timberlake for joining her, Madonna told the crowd she felt "like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to make a record with him, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West. And even though I've made what seems like 100 records, every time I put one out it's like the first time, and the best time." And the kind-hearted star rewarded fans who didn't manage to obtain tickets for the free show by streaming the performance online, reports GigWise.com.
Abdul: "I Was Not Drunk"
American Idol judge Paula Abdul has fiercely denied she was drunk when she made an embarrassing blunder on the hit reality TV show on Tuesday. The singer was blasted by American gossip website Tmz.com, which accused the singer of being under the influence of alcohol when she was caught out by a change to the judging format of the show. When asked to appraise first performer Jason Castro, Abdul gave her opinions on two performances - even though each singer had only sung once. The website had claimed she was "bubbly" after "at least one martini" at a lunch at Maggiano's restaurant in Los Angeles four hours before the show began. But Abdul brands the claims "absolutely not true" saying, "It got very confusing. The producers come up to us in the dark and said, 'We are not going to have you guys judge after each performer, we are going to have all the performers go once, then twice and at the end critique them.'"
Judge Dismisses Lopez Lawsuit

A judge in New York has dismissed a lawsuit against Jennifer Lopez from a writer who accused the star of stealing his idea for a TV series. Jack Bunick filed suit at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan claiming 2006 drama series South Beach - which was executive produced by the star - was too similar to the plot of a pilot episode he wrote in 1999 for a program called South Beach Miami. Bunick named Lopez, UPN and CBS Television in the suit. But Judge Richard Berman tossed the lawsuit out of court on Wednesday declaring there to be inadequate evidence to take the case to trial. The judge also noted that there was "powerful evidence" that the defendants had created the series independently. Papers filed by Lopez's lawyers claimed that although the star was an executive producer, she was barely involved in the development and was only brought in at a later stage to "lend celebrity to the show." The show was cancelled after just eight episodes following poor reviews and low viewing figures.
