Fawcett's Medical Records "Improperly Accessed"
Farrah Fawcett's medical records were improperly accessed at the same Los Angeles hospital where staff were caught snooping at singer Britney Spears' private documents, according to the actress' lawyers. Fawcett became concerned last year when the National Enquirer published a story about her cancer battle - shortly after doctors at UCLA Medical Center told the TV icon the news, and before she had spoken to her family and friends about it. The 61-year-old became increasingly worried when the Enquirer and its sister publication, The Globe, repeatedly printed details of her cancer fight within days of her receiving treatment at the UCLA hospital. Fawcett complained to her doctor following an Enquirer story in May last year and UCLA Medical Center bosses launched an internal investigation. The hospital's chief compliance officer, Carole A. Klove, tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper that a worker had carried out "multiple reviews" of Fawcett's records, but that no evidence was found to suggest the employee had passed on her personal information. However, a UCLA source tells the newspaper a worker has since been fired for inappropriately looking through Fawcett's records. One of Fawcett's lawyers, Kim Swartz, tells the Los Angeles Times that the Charlie's Angels star is reluctant to take legal action. Swartz says, "This is such an ugly situation. This has been very hard for her. Not knowing who has her personal information has taken an incredible toll on her and her fight with cancer." Earlier this year, UCLA Medical Center bosses fired 12 people and suspended six others after discovering as many as 20 staff members had attempted to defy medical centre rules and obtain confidential information about Spears.
Troyer in Hospital

Mini-Me star Verne Troyer has become the latest star hit by Hollywood's flu bug. The pint-sized Austin Powers star was taken to the hospital in British Columbia, where he's working on The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus - the film Heath Ledger was working on when he died. The actor's publicist says, "Verne is fine... He's been working really hard on the film. They just wanted to hydrate him."
Clooney Was Joking About Pitt/Jolie Godfather Reports
George Clooney has laughed off reports he has been named godfather to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's unborn offspring. The Michael Clayton star sparked rumors earlier this week, when he joked to paparazzi outside a Los Angeles restaurant that he had been asked by the Hollywood couple to take on the role. But Clooney's longtime representative Stan Rosenfield has been forced to publicly dismiss the reports, after some gossip websites reported the actor's passing comments as fact. Rosenfield tells WENN, "He was just having a joke." This is not the first time Clooney has quashed speculation he has been signed up to be an A-List star's godparent - he denied being godfather to Nicole Kidman's unborn child just last month. Jolie is currently pregnant with what would be the couple's fifth and sixth kids, if reports she is expecting twins are true. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children together, as well as their biological daughter Shiloh.
April Fool's Day Baby for Actress Gold

Beloved TV star Tracey Gold has given birth to her fourth son. The former Growing Pains star had an April Fool's Day baby on Tuesday night at Tarzana Hospital in California. Gold and her husband, Roby Marshall, have named the child Dylan Christopher. The couple already has three boys - Sage, 11, Bailey, nine, and Aiden, three. Gold refused to follow Hollywood trends, and went public with her baby's sex and name back in February. The 38-year-old and her husband of 13 years are already reconsidering plans not to get pregnant again. She adds, "I say that I'm done but we're not closing the door. We're not having a vasectomy." But Gold accepts she'll probably never have a girl: "I come from a family of five girls, so I know that when you keep having one of the same... But I just love babies and I love a big family."
Farley's Pals Tried To Save Him
Chris Farley's celebrity friends Chevy Chase and David Spade tried desperately to save the actor from his drug addiction before he died of an overdose, a new book reveals. Actor pals Chase and Spade reveal the tactics they used to shock Farley into kicking his out-of-control habit in The Last Days of Chris Farley - written by the tragic star's brother Tom Farley and Tanner Colby. Chase says, "(I told him) look, you're not John Belushi. And when you overdose or kill yourself, you will not have the same acclaim that John did. You'll be a blip in the New York Times obituary page, and that'll be it. Is that what you want?" And Spade claims he was blamed for his Tommy Boy co-star's death: "I got a lot of s**t at the end about, 'Why weren't you there for him?' But being that close, I dealt with it all the time. And in that situation, before the guy's dead, he's just kind of an asshole. Truth is, you get a junkie who's wasted all the time and moody and angry and trying to knock you around, you say, 'OK, you go do that and I'll be over here.'" Farley died from an overdose in 1997 at the age of 33.
Donovan Divorces Wife

Actor Tate Donovan is divorcing his wife of three years, Corinne Kingsbury. The couple married in a Catholic ceremony on a Malibu, California beach in 2005. But Nancy Drew star Donovan has revealed he and Kingsbury separated earlier this year and are now heading towards a permanent split. He tells OK! magazine, "I'm getting a divorce." Although newly-single, the 44-year-old has rejected the suggestion he may reunite with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, telling the tabloid they were totally incompatible: "She likes top notch hotels and luxury. I like bed and breakfasts and riding my bike. That's the most shallow version of it, but it's indicative of our personalities." But Donovan is keen for his former Friends co-star Aniston to join him on legal drama Damages: "Jen would be fantastic. I'll have her people contact the show's people. It will happen. It'd be great."
Winfrey To Air TV Special For Late Dog Sophie

TV talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is to dedicate a special show to her beloved dog Sophie, who died last month. The program, which is set to air in the U.S. on Friday, will investigate abuse at puppy mills - and will be broadcast in memory of Winfrey's cocker spaniel, who died from kidney failure. She says, "Sophie gave me 13 years of unconditional love. She was a true love in my life. (The show is) for anybody anywhere who loves a dog, has ever loved a dog, or just cares about their basic right to humane treatment." And Winfrey insists any new additions to her canine brood will now be adopted from an animal shelter, rather than from a breeder, thanks to the effect the special has had on her. She adds, "I would never, ever adopt another pet now without going to a shelter to do it. I am a changed woman after seeing this show."
Madonna and Ritchie Sleep With Their Cell Phones

Pop superstar Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie both sleep with their cell phones under their pillows - insisting their behavior is "practical." The 49-year-old Material Girl claims she sleeps with her BlackBerry in bed each night - because she likes to make notes on it if she remembers anything she has to do mid-slumber. But the megastar denies her habit is "unromantic" because her filmmaking husband plays with his phone until she comes to bed. She says, "We lie right next to each other with our Blackberrys under our pillows. It's not unromantic, it's practical. I'm sure loads of couples have their BlackBerrys in bed with them. I often wake up in the middle of the night and remember that I've forgotten something, so I jump up and make notes. Guy's always waiting for me to come to bed, so he plays Brick on his BlackBerry until I'm ready."
Carey Overtakes Elvis

Pop diva Mariah Carey has become only the second artist to score 18 U.S. number one singles - beating the late Elvis Presley into third place. The singer's new song, "Touch My Body," surged up the Billboard Hot 100 countdown to take the top slot after being made available as a digital download. Carey has now claimed her 18th number one single, leaving her just two short of The Beatles' record. The Glitter star was previously tied in second place with Presley - who topped the U.S. pop charts 17 times. But Carey, who celebrated the news while on a promotional tour in London, insists she could never compare herself to musical greats such as Presley and The Beatles; she's just pleased to still be enjoying success 18 years after releasing her first album. She says, "I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world. That's a completely different era and time ... I'm just feeling really happy and grateful."
Spears & Rudolph Back Together
Britney Spears' former manager Larry Rudolph has confirmed reports the pair are on speaking terms again. The pop star dismissed Rudolph after he joined forces with her parents and staged an intervention to get Spears to enter rehab at the beginning of last year. But Rudolph has stayed loyal to his former charge - trying to hide from a subpoena that would force him to testify against the singer, and now he appears to be on his way back. Rudolph reveals he and Spears have recently spent time together and he reports the singer is "doing great." He tells America's Us Weekly magazine, "I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who really care about her well-being. (But) this isn't the time to talk business. This is a time for healing." Rudolph is considered the brains behind Spears' biggest hits. He managed the pop star for nine years after discovering her when she was a teenager.
