Holmes: "I'm Not Pregnant"

Katie Holmes has denied a report she's pregnant with her second child. The Mad Money star and husband Tom Cruise, who have a 22-month-old daughter, Suri, together, are said to be expecting another baby in the new edition of American magazine OK!. But Holmes' spokesperson has dismissed the report as false: "She's not pregnant."

Ritter's Co-Star Sagal & Son Testify at Trial

Actress Katey Sagal broke down in tears in a California court on Tuesday when she took to the stand in the ongoing John Ritter wrongful death trial. Sagal, who starred as Ritter's on-screen wife on hit TV show 8 Simple Rules, appeared briefly at Glendale's Superior Court to testify on behalf of Ritter's widow Amy Yasbeck. She is hoping to prove the late actor's death could have been avoided if doctors at the Providence Street Joseph Medical Center hadn't misdiagnosed the star's heart condition. Sagal was visibly upset as she recalled working with Ritter, telling the court, "I loved John." Ritter's personal assistant, agent and 28-year-old son, Jason Ritter, also gave their testimonies at the lengthy trial on Tuesday. Paying tribute to his dad, Jason said: "It was a great and intense relationship. He was so much fun. I learned a lot from him. He was a great father and a great teacher." Before Tuesday's court proceedings began, the jury members were introduced to Ritter's young daughter Stella, whose father suffered a fatal heart attack in September 2003, aged 54, on her fifth birthday. Ritter's wife and his eldest children are suing two doctors for $67 million for misdiagnosing Ritter's torn aorta. The trial continues.

Kidman Paparazzo Loses Damages Bid

An Australian photographer has lost his bid for damages against a newspaper which accused him of hounding Nicole Kidman. Paparazzo Jamie Fawcett had filed a defamation suit against a regional newspaper, which publicly criticized him for allegedly pestering Kidman. The Sun-Herald ran an article 2005 accusing Fawcett of allegedly planting a listening device outside Kidman's Sydney home. The article was found by a jury to be defamatory last year - with the current case filed to determine whether the newspaper's publishers, Fairfax Media, were liable for damages. However, in the New South Wales Supreme Court on Wednesday, Justice Carolyn Simpson ruled Fairfax Media, publisher of the Sun-Herald newspaper, had successfully defended the case. Called to give evidence by Fairfax in November, Kidman told a court how she feared for her life after being pursued by the photographer - and was forced to employ round-the-clock security for her and her family as a result. Speaking outside the court, Fawcett said, "It is very disappointing, it is not the outcome I wanted." Judge Simpson also insisted she was satisfied Fawcett had planted a listening device under a water meter outside Kidman's home - something the snapper refutes. He says, "I don't believe it is supported by the evidence," adding local police had dropped the case against him. Fawcett will pay Fairfax's legal costs, expected to be a six-figure sum.

Cody Shoemaker Strikes Back

The shoe designer Diablo Cody snubbed on Oscar night is astonished by her attack on him - insisting the prize-winning writer designed the pair herself. The Juno Best Original Screenplay winner ditched Stuart Weitzman's 'million-dollar shoes' at the last moment, after discovering she was being used to publicize the fabled Kwait diamond items celebrities have been selected to wear to the Academy Awards since 2002. She wore her own footwear and launched a stinging attack on Weitzman, writing online, "I'm actually really p****d about this... They're using me to publicise their stupid shoes and nobody asked me. I would never consent to a lame publicity stunt at a time when I already want to hide." But Weitzman is baffled, claiming Cody helped to design the shoes. He says, "I have been making a special pair of shoes to be worn at the Academy Awards for a number of years. This year - more so than in any previous year - the lady who was given the opportunity to wear it was quite involved in the design process. Diablo Cody sent me examples of the type of shoes she liked and actually did the final selection herself, choosing a three-inch retro style T-strap as well as a changeover pair of ballerinas. She chose to adorn the shoes with medium-sized diamond roses from three different sizes offered to her. Why she seems to be so surprised as to the attention being paid to her and these shoes, I cannot answer. It should certainly come as no surprise that a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes would generate excitement at the Academy Awards. Regardless, what should matter is the fact that this talented woman won an Oscar this weekend. I offered her the opportunity initially because I so enjoyed her film, and I'm very happy for her success. I wish her all the best."

Anderson Wants Annulment

Pamela Anderson is hoping to annul her brief marriage to poker player Rick Salomon. Instead of divorcing Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend, the former Baywatch babe has cited "fraud" in court papers, filed in Los Angeles last week. Anderson initially filed for divorce in December, after just two months of marriage - citing irreconcilable differences for the split. The couple exchanged vows last October in Las Vegas, where Anderson was working as illusionist Hans Klok's assistant in his spectacular magic shows. Both Anderson and Salomon have been married twice before - the actress was wed to rockers Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. Salomon was previously married to Shannen Doherty and actress Elizabeth Daily.

Winehouse Wins Court Postponement in Norway

Amy Winehouse's appeal to postpone her Norwegian court hearing on Friday for drug possession charges has been granted. The Grammy-winning star and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested in Bergen, Norway last year on suspicion of possessing cannabis. The 24-year-old was issued with a $714 fine, which she accepted, not realizing that paying up is the same as pleading guilty in the Scandinavian country. Winehouse appealed the fine in November and was due in court for a scheduled hearing on Friday. But her lawyer Ole Kvelstad appealed to a district court in a bid to have the hearing pushed back because of the absence of her spouse, who is currently incarcerated in London's Pentonville Prison on charges of perverting the course of justice in relation to earlier charges of grievous bodily harm. Kvelstad tells People.com, "The (Norway) court says that all parties must appear in person before the court, and the British police haven't made arrangements for one party to appear."

Jackson Fighting To Save Neverland

Michael Jackson is determined to stop the auction of his old Neverland Ranch home by taking out a loan to cover the money he owes to the estate's trustees. Bosses at Financial Title Company have announced they will sell the fabled California property at auction on March 19 unless the pop star comes up with the $24.5 million they claim he owes them. The Thriller singer vowed never to return to the Santa Barbara-area estate, where he once housed a zoo and theme park, after detectives ransacked the property for evidence to use against Jackson in his 2004 child molestation trial. But he doesn't want his former home and fixtures and fittings to go under the hammer. A Jackson family insider insists the singer will avoid foreclosure on Neverland with a new loan, adding the auction "won't happen." The source tells CNN, "The financing is all being worked out. There are plenty of lenders willing to work with him."

Madonna's New Album Named

Pop superstar Madonna's highly anticipated new album will be called Hard Candy, her publicist has confirmed. The CD - the follow up to 2005's Confessions On A Dance Floor - will be released on April 29, and also features a song called "Candy Store" produced by Pharell Williams. Liz Rosenberg, Madonna's representative, explains the singer chose to stick to the sugary theme because she loves sugary treats. She adds, "It's about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed, 'I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good.'" Hard Candy's release will be preceded by single "4 Minutes To Save The World," which features Justin Timberlake, at the end of March.

Pregnant Alba Fell Backstage at Oscars

Pregnant actress Jessica Alba is counting her lucky stars after suffering a terrifying tumble backstage at the Academy Awards on Sunday. Alba, who is in her third trimester, was caught just in time by fiance Cash Warren. And the 26-year-old Fantastic Four star is astonished normally eagle-eyed photographers missed the whole thing - because she fell right in front of them. She writes online, "I did have a stumble backstage outside of the green room. Cash caught one arm, the other hit the floor. Luckily all the photogs were taking pics of Cameron D." Gossips claim Alba will give birth to twins later this year.

Prince To Have Hip Replacement Operation?

Pop superstar Prince is to undergo hip replacement surgery, according to new reports. The Purple Rain singer is setting aside two months to recover from the upcoming operation, reports British newspaper News Of The World. A spokesperson for the star refuses to confirm the report, saying, "We cannot comment on that (hip replacement reports) at the moment."
