Penn & Wright Divorce
Sean Penn and Robin Wright are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. According to People.com, the divorce was confirmed by the couple's spokesperson Mara Buxbaum. The Mystic River star married Wright in 1996 and they have two children together: Dylan Frances, 16, and Hopper Jack, 14. Penn began dating Wright in the early 1990s and starred onscreen together in the 1997 movie She's So Lovely and Hurlyburly the following year. It is the second divorce for Penn - he ended his marriage to pop star Madonna in 1989 after four years together.
Alba Is Engaged
Jessica Alba has confirmed reports she's engaged to marry the father of her unborn child. Just 10 days after the actress' Fantastic Four co-star Doug Jones announced the news at the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival in Los Angeles, Alba told photographers she was in fact planning to wed producer Cash Warren. Alba, who met her man on the set of The Fantastic Four in 2004, announced the news she was pregnant with her first child earlier this month. The actress' baby is due in late spring/early summer of 2008, according to her publicist Brad Cafarelli, who says, "I can confirm that they are engaged."
Barton Smoked Marijuana Prior to DUI Arrest

Actress Mischa Barton had been smoking marijuana when she was arrested by police for driving under the influence on Thursday morning, according to reports. The former The O.C. star was pulled over by West Hollywood cops in the early hours of Thursday when she was spotted straddling two lanes of traffic. She was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, but was also booked for possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended license. And the 21-year-old, who scored a 0.12 on a breathalyser test, was also found to have marijuana on her person, as well as prescription drugs which were not in her name, according to Tmz.com. She is currently free on $10,000 bail after being released on Thursday night. The story of Barton's arrest was first broken by celebrity website Hollyscoop.com.
Aniston Dashes Pregnancy Rumour with a Christmas Martini

A Christmas Eve night out with best pal Courteney Cox has wrecked a U.S. news exclusive claiming Jennifer Aniston is pregnant. The National Enquirer report that Aniston, 38, is expecting, but her publicist has denied the rumor. In a simple statement, he says, "She is not pregnant." And the story seems to have fallen flat around Christmas - Us Weekly magazine reports Aniston was spotted drinking martinis at Mastro's in Beverly Hills with Cox and her husband David Arquette on 24 December, a week after the actress had her hair colored by stylist Michael Canali. Both drinking and hair dying are strict no-nos for expectant moms.
'Heroes' Stars Come Clean About Romance
Heroes co-stars Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere have stopped pretending they're just good friends after cooing about their romance at a recent show party. Actor Ventimiglia toasted the actress at the pre-Christmas Water Grill party in Los Angeles, telling co-stars he was in fact dating Panettiere. An eyewitness tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "He called her his girlfriend and said that he loved her." The couple spent the rest of the party sitting together and holding hands. Ventimiglia recently shrugged off romance reports, insisting he and his co-star were just "close friends". He said, "It's only natural that people are going to couple us together."
Seinfeld Says No to Oscars
Jerry Seinfeld has snubbed the chance to host the Academy Awards - preferring instead to perform for an audience that isn't racked with nerves. The American comedian has turned the job down on numerous occasions over fears organizers will keep inviting him back. But what appeals to him least is the prospect of performing in front of a crowd of Oscar nominees, whose minds are too focused on winning awards to laugh at his jokes. He tells British magazine Empire, "If I hosted the Oscars and I did it really well, they would just ask me to do it again. And then again. And again. "There's no up-side. I don't know, it's just a weird environment. I'm lucky that I can do things that kind of interest me as a challenge, but everybody there is nervous, you know? They want to win their award. "They're not there to have fun. I like to go in front of an audience that wants to have fun."
Knightley Shuns Hollywood for London
Keira Knightley has blasted Hollywood residents for leading an insular existence, insisting she could never survive in such a stifling environment. The British beauty - who has bagged a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Atonement - has become a prominent name in Hollywood, but couldn't bear to live amongst her movie-obsessed contemporaries. Instead, Knightley has chosen to stay in London - because it offers so much more variety. She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "It's a funny place - I could never live in Hollywood, because there's nowhere to escape to. You find yourself sitting around a lot and every conversation you have is about the movies. "I think you have to be in a city that has different walks of life that you can observe - and, for me, that's London."
Burton: 'Studios Feared Sweeney Todd'

Studio bosses balked at proposals for Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd movie, because they feared a musical/horror film with no "pop songs" would bomb at the box office, according to the director himself. The maverick filmmaker struggled to win over movie bigwigs, not least when he opted to cast Johnny Depp - who has no previous singing experience - in the lead role. But Burton has praised Hollywood for greenlighting such a risky project. He tells British film magazine Empire, "What's weird is that they (the studios) are afraid of musicals anyway, but an R-rated musical with blood that's not based on pop songs, it's like, 'F**k!' "Then it was like, 'Um, can he (Depp) sing?' Nobody knew. I didn't know. So that's the joke of the whole thing. In a way, that's the surreal nature of Hollywood, so you have to love it for that because on paper, it's like the worst idea of all time!"
Cyrus Splits from Jonas Brother Nick
Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has split with her teenage boyfriend Nick Jonas. The singer/actress, 15, and the youngest of sibling trio The Jonas Brothers have been dating since the start of their current sold-out U.S. tour. But the couple has now parted ways, according to New York gossip column PageSix. A source tells the publication, "They just broke up, but not many people even knew they were going out." A spokesman for Cyrus says, "We do not comment on our client's personal life."
