Theron Robbed
Charlize Theron has become the latest victim of callous thieves who have turned the Hollywood Hills into a hotbed of crime. The Monster Oscar winner's home was targeted by robbers this past weekend, who broke into her estate, according to Tmz.com. As WENN went to press it was not clear if the actress was at home when the burglary took place. There are also no details as to what was taken in the raid. The year started off with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw falling victim to the Hollywood Hills crime wave. Thieves stole an unspecified amount of money from their home in February. And Duran Duran star John Taylor's Hollywood home was also hit by robbers.
Winehouse "Determined" To Play at Grammys
Amy Winehouse is "determined" to perform at the 2008 Grammy Awards ceremony, despite her recent arrest for marijuana possession. The singer received six Grammy nominations on Thursday, including nods for Best New Artist and Album Of The Year for Back To Black. But Winehouse's arrest in Norway for cannabis possession could prevent her from entering the U.S. for the ceremony in Los Angeles on February 10 - although the 24-year-old is hopeful she'll be permitted to attend the event. Her representative tells website People.com, "Amy is thrilled to be nominated for six Grammys and is very much hoping to attend. She is determined to be ready and well for that performance."
Parker and Morgan Back On?
Weeds stars Mary-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have sparked rumors they have rekindled their relationship - after they attended the premiere of P.S. I Love You together. The pair, who play husband and wife on the hit show, split after six months together in June. But Parker and Morgan were spotted at the movie premiere in Hollywood on Sunday with their arms around one another and holding hands. When asked by People magazine what he thought of his date, Grey's Anatomy star Morgan responded, "What about her?" before raising his eyebrow and grinning.
Police Will Not Prosecute Collins for Drunk-Driving Death Crash

TV star Gary Collins will not be prosecuted for manslaughter, after the elderly man hit by a car driven by the actor died on Friday. The 69-year-old was arrested after crashing his black Ford Explorer into a blue Toyota while driving through Sherman Oaks, California in October. Collins was sentenced to 96 hours in jail and 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to drunk-driving last week. But Warren Gates, 89, has now died from injuries sustained in the collision. According to website Tmz.com, police will not prosecute Collins for manslaughter because Gates caused the crash by making an illegal left-turn, and authorities must prove it was Collins who caused the accident.
Clooney To Make Second Visit to Darfur

Actor George Clooney will make a second awareness-raising trip to the war-torn Darfur region of Sudan next month. The 46-year-old hopes his celebrity status will draw more attention to the appalling conditions in the area as he tours the most affected areas of the crisis. Clooney says, "I'm not a politician, so the reason I go is to focus attention there. We're going to try to get deeper into Darfur, try to get some cameras in to the tougher camps and have conversations. That's basically all I can do. If you put famous people in front of very ugly sites, people will watch." Clooney visited Darfur with his father, a former U.S. news anchor, last year. They shot a short film about the horrors of the refugee camps. Details of Clooney's upcoming trip are being kept secret for security reasons. The actor admits he feels compelled to do all he can to raise awareness in Darfur: "It certainly reminds you to be ridiculously happy with your life. Once you see people suffering in the way these people are suffering, you feel very guilty about not suffering at all." On Thursday, Clooney and his Ocean's Eleven co-star Don Cheadle will be honored for their efforts in Darfur at the World Summit Of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome, Italy. Both actors will receive the Peace Summit Award at the event.
Swank To Hit the Celebrity Skies

Oscar winner Hilary Swank is set to become the latest celebrity high-flier as part of her research into early aviator Amelia Earhart. The Million Dollar Baby actress will play the historical figure in a biopic that starts shooting in late February, and she's planning flying lessons in the new year. Swank says, "She's very much an inspiration. I am looking forward to playing her. I am going to take flying lessons, which is so exciting." But the production could fail to get off the ground if the Hollywood writers' strike isn't over. Swank adds, "We are not filming until late February. So while I am doing my preparation of breaking down Amelia, and figuring out show she is, I pray the strike will have been resolved by then."
Hilton Comforts Injured Nightclub Entertainer

Socialite Paris Hilton rushed to the aid of a performer left injured when the crowd rushed the stage at a Miami, Florida nightclub on Saturday. The hotel heiress was enjoying a performance of Beacher's Comedy Madhouse during a night out at the Cameo nightclub when the incident took place. Hilton nursed entertainer Robin Sherwood, who was wearing a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory -inspired Oompa-Loompa costume, until an ambulance arrived to treat his badly cut leg. Coincidentally, Hilton is friends with Sherwood. The pair knows each other because Sherwood needs a kidney transplant and Hilton is supporting a foundation to facilitate the operation. The event's booking agent, Mike Heller, tells website People.com, "I was with Paris. Paris stayed back at the event when she heard that he was injured, to make sure he was OK. She was very concerned with his health. She didn't leave until she knew that he was OK."
Dempsey: "I'm Not Hot"
Enchanted star Patrick Dempsey is uncomfortable with his status as a sex symbol - because he thinks he is just "average-looking". The actor, who plays a dashing divorce lawyer in the Disney movie, insists his looks don't match those of Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney - despite being chosen last month as the new face of fashion house Versace. But self-deprecating Dempsey admits he enjoys the attention lavished on his appearance. He says, "I always find it funny when people say I am handsome or I am perceived in that way. It makes me wonder whom they are talking to, it's interesting. There are a lot of men out there considered as handsome men: George Clooney is good looking; he is the classical handsome movie star. I am just average looking. But it's fun and it is certainly nice to have the attention. I was known for being geeky and awkward as a kid. This projection of being sexy or handsome is funny to me; I certainly don't see myself that way."
Spears Caught Driving Dangerously Again

Troubled star Britney Spears has been spotted driving erratically yet again. The singer is no stranger to traffic offences after being charged with driving without a valid license earlier this year, and was also charged for committing a hit-and-run incident while attempting to park her Mercedes Benz in August. This weekend, Spears was pictured driving on the wrong side of the road into incoming traffic, reports Tmz.com.
Smith Puts Fresh Prints in Walk of Fame
Will Smith planted his hand and footprints into the cement outside Hollywood landmark Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Monday and received an unexpected tribute from pal Tom Cruise. The I Am Legend movie star wasn't expecting the Top Gun actor to show up for his big honor. He said, "That kinda caught me off guard a little bit." Cruise insisted Smith was deserving of the honor, stating, "He's an extraordinary guy... he's truly an exceptional human being."
