Wilson Makes First Public Appearance
Owen Wilson attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie The Darjeeling Limited on Thursday, his first public appearance since his suicide attempt in August.
The actor avoided the red carpet outside the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre and entered through a private entrance, surprising guests and co-stars including Natalie Portman, Anjelica Huston and Jason Schwartzman.
When Wes Anderson introduced a healthy-looking Wilson to the audience as "my best friend," he was met with applause.
Huston later told reporters, "I have to say, I have a crush on Owen."
Schwartzman added, "Owen is doing very well and he is with us tonight, and I love him."
Police Arrest Suspect in Stolen Indiana Jones Photos Case

Los Angeles police detectives have foiled a plan to sell photographs stolen from the set of the new Indiana Jones film by pretending they wanted to buy them. The undercover cops set up a meeting with Roderick Davis at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood on Tuesday after learning he was allegedly trying to sell photos taken from the set of Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. After initially discussing terms with Davis, police identified themselves and then arrested him on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Director Steven Spielberg called cops to the Universal Studios set of the film last week after realizing the photographs and computers had been stolen from his office.
Spears & Federline Must Attend Counseling Together

A judge has ordered Britney Spears to complete three joint counseling sessions with her ex-husband Kevin Federline before their next child custody hearing on October 26. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon also ruled that Spears must abide to strict drug testing regulations or her monitored visitation privileges with her two children will be taken away. Spears lost physical custody of her sons after reportedly ignoring a string of court-imposed demands and skipping mandatory drug tests. The further details of Wednesday's temporary ruling - at which Federline was told he'll retain custody of Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one - were revealed in court documents released on Thursday. Gordon said that "a missed (drug) test, refusal to submit to a test, or failure to respond to the testing agency's call... shall be deemed by the court as a failed test." At the closed hearing, the judge added that a court-imposed monitor "shall terminate visitation immediately if any conduct or action by (Spears) endangers the minor children." Spears must also attend three individual counseling meetings before the October 26 hearing.

Legendary actor/director Warren Beatty will be honored with the 36th American Film Institute (AFI) Life Achievement Award next year. The Oscar winner, famous for movies including Bonnie And Clyde, Shampoo, Reds and Bugsy, will receive the award at a gala tribute ceremony in Los Angeles on 12 June. AFI chief Sir Howard Stringer says, "Warren Beatty has charmed movie-goers as a dynamic leading man from his first moment on screen and continues to do so today. He is also a master filmmaker, a writer, producer and director of such artistry and influence that his movies, from Bonnie And Clyde to Reds, have left an indelible mark on the cultural legacy of American film."
Birkhead To Star in Reality TV Show
Larry Birkhead is in talks to star in a reality TV show documenting his life as the father of late Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn. The professional photographer has an agreement in principle with one U.S. network - after being inundated with offers since he won custody of the one-year-old earlier this year. Birkhead tells the New York Daily News, "I don't want to give something away yet. It's basically the 'day in the life of daddy duties.' The truth is, people came to me with pitches, and I haven't accepted anything. It's something they continue to talk to me about. It's multiple networks. I'm listening to what they have to say. My daughter is my focus now. I'm being a great dad. She's teething. She's got about eight teeth. Everything is great with her. She chomps on me every day. All she has to worry about is her Barney video."
Donald Sutherland Angry Over Son's '24' Spoilers

Screen veteran Donald Sutherland is such a fan of his son Kiefer Sutherland's hit show 24 he once blasted him for revealing plot details over dinner. Donald never misses an episode of the series, which stars Kiefer as anti-terrorism expert Jack Bauer. However, Kiefer once felt his father's fury after he unwittingly gave away story details. He says, "I remember last year we were having dinner and I made the mistake of saying I had to go home soon because we're shooting x, y and z. And he got cross with me, because I had told him what I was shooting, just not thinking about it, and obviously gave away a piece of the plot." It's no surprise Donald took it so hard - he even followed the show when he was in France filming. Kiefer explains, "My old man started to watch 24 in France when he was on location - it didn't have any commercials over there. Then he came to the States and he hated the commercials. Then he went back to France and he missed the commercials, because it gave him time to breathe. I always found that funny."
Longoria Trailer Invaders Prompt Security Shake-Up

Security on the set of Desperate Housewives has been stepped up after actress Eva Longoria found two strangers in her trailer. The star was stunned to find two women using the restroom in her trailer after returning to her home from home during a break in filming last week. The mystery ladies explained they had wandered off from a studio tour and needed a bathroom break, so they used Longoria's after finding her trailer unlocked. According to U.S. magazine the Globe, Longoria confronted security on the lot and was told the minders had mistaken the two tourists as extras on Desperate Housewives.
O'Neal: "Britney Needs Rehab"

Actress Tatum O'Neal has urged Britney Spears to go back to rehab - or she'll never get her kids back. The Rescue Me star, 43, who like Spears shot to fame at a young age, relates to the troubled superstar's problems because she was deemed an "unfit mother" herself. And she urged the hitmaker, 25, - who has just lost custody of her two children Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, - to check back into rehab as soon as possible. She says, "I relate to her and feel really sad for her. I did everything that she doesn't want to do. I did the drug testing. It was very humbling but I wanted those kids back. Hopefully she will figure (it) out. But it's going to be hard and she will do it publicly and that sucks." O'Neal - who became the youngest person ever to win an Oscar for her role in 1973 film Paper Moon - lost a bitter custody battle over her three children to ex-husband John McEnroe, after their eight-year marriage ended in 1992. Since then she has undergone prolonged treatment for substance abuse.
Knowles Copyright Accuser Takes Case To Court Of Appeal

A woman accusing Beyonce Knowles of stealing the lyrics for her hit "Baby Boy" has taken her case to a U.S. appeals court. Jennifer Armour's claim, that Knowles took the words from her song "Got a Little Bit of Love for You," was dismissed by a Houston judge last year. But her lawyer has told a three-judge panel in Lubbock, Texas that the case should be heard by a jury. Dana Kirk, representing Armour, told the judges that an expert analyzed the songs and ruled that they are substantially similar. Knowles' lawyer Cynthia Arato argued that the standard for copyright cases is what an ordinary person can hear, not an expert.
