Sutherland Faces Jail
Kiefer Sutherland faces jail if he is convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol, under California's two strikes system. The 24 star was on his way home from a Fox network party when he was pulled over by police on the junction of La Cienega and Beverly at 1.35am after making an illegal U-turn. A breath test found him to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to reports. Sutherland, 40, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. It's the second time Sutherland has been arrested for DUI - he was caught committing the same offense in California in 2004. He will appear before a California court on 16 October to answer charges and, if convicted, faces a mandatory five-day jail sentence.
Lohan to Be Freed from Rehab This Week

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan could be released from rehab as early as this weekend, according to U.S. reports. The Mean Girls star checked into the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah in July to seek counseling following two drink drive charges earlier this year . The 21-year-old also sought help to battle her drug demons after she was caught in possession of cocaine during her arrest for DUI. But Lohan is expected to be released later this week, according to the New York Daily News. A friend tells the newspaper, "I don't think she knows yet."

The actor has secured the Bacara Resort & Spa for his romantic beach nuptials on 24 November . A source tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "It's going to be an old-fashioned ceremony, on the beach at sundown." Kate Bosworth, Brandon's onscreen love interest in Superman Returns, is expected to attend the ceremony.
'Dark Knight' Death Was Not On Set

A crew member working on the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, died in a "tragic" accident and not during filming, studio bosses have confirmed. The unnamed special effects expert was following the Batmobile on a racetrack in Surrey, England when the car he was in crashed into a tree. It had been reported the victim was trying to figure out how to film a car chase scene for the movie on Tuesday . But a spokesman for Warner Bros. Pictures insists the accident did not take place on the film set and actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Heath Ledger were not involved. A statement reads, "There was a fatal accident at a special effects facility for The Dark Knight on the afternoon of 24th September. A technician on the film died when the truck he was in struck a tree following a test run. Warner Bros. Pictures and the entire cast and crew of The Dark Knight are deeply saddened by this tragedy and their hearts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased."
Child Porn Police to Investigate Elton John

Sir Elton John is facing an investigation from child porn police after a photo he donated to an art exhibition was seized by cops. Art gallery bosses at The Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in Gateshead, England have withdrawn the explicit photo a day before the exhibition is due to start on Wednesday , reports British newspaper The Sun. The photo, taken by famed photographer Nan Godin, features two young girls posing provocatively - and is one of 4,000 pictures used in the Sir Elton John Photographic Collection. The Rocket Man hitmaker is said to admire the "directness, truth and poignancy" of Godin's work. Police are said to be investigating whether the gallery has broken the law for using the image. A police spokesperson says, "Who owns it or owned it is also part of the investigation." John's publicist declined to comment.
Fatone Invites Spears to Stay at His Florida Retreat

Former 'N Sync star Joey Fatone has offered troubled pop superstar Britney Spears a sanctuary at his Florida home. The singer, who was one of Spears' closest friends when she started out in the music business, recently admitted he was shocked by her ill-advised performance at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month. And Fatone has now offered Spears, who is in the middle of a much-publicized child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, a place to recuperate out of the spotlight. He says, "Poor girl, she needs some help. Come over to my house and my wife'll whip her into shape. Come back to Orlando and take a break for awhile, from LA and stuff."
Anderson Denies Wilson Contributed to Suicide Character

Movie director Wes Anderson has denied reports Owen Wilson's troubled private life contributed to his latest film character - a man with suicidal tendencies. A depressed Wilson allegedly slashed his wrists in an apparent suicide attempt at his home in Santa Monica, California last month. And, in a bizarre coincidence, his latest movie character is involved in a deliberate motorcycle accident in The Darjeeling Limited. But filmmaker Anderson insists Wilson had no hand in writing the role. He says, "It (suicide theme) comes more from me than Owen. He is just playing a role. There's not much else there. People can't avoid making connections, but they are making them after the fact." And Anderson also plays down speculation Wilson was responsible for the scene in 2001 movie The Royal Tenenbaums, which the pair co-wrote, where his brother Luke Wilson's character tries to kill himself by cutting his wrists. He adds, "I wrote that character myself. Owen was not in on that one."
Mabius: 'Sex Scenes with Hayek Are Not Glamorous'
Ugly Betty star Eric Mabius is the envy of his male co-stars after shooting an intimate sex scene with Salma Hayek. The actor, 36 - who plays womanizing editor Daniel Meade in the hit TV show - is often congratulated for his loves scenes with Hayek, but he insists wooing Hayek's onscreen character, Sofia Reyes, is not glamorous. He says, "She's an amazing woman. When she walks into a room, the guys' IQs all drop by 75 points. "Guys come up to me and say, 'You get to sleep with Salma - that's cool' "I don't want to burst their bubble, but when we're rehearsing our love scenes, our dogs are jumping around us on the bed. It's one percent glamor."
Knightley Is Too Self-Conscious for Premieres
Keira Knightley hates attending Hollywood premieres, because she's too self-conscious to enjoy herself. The British actress claims she spends her entire time on the red carpet dreading the way her look will be interpreted in the press the following day. Knightley tells Allure magazine, "I absolutely hate red carpet events. I don't like the fact that people write 'Oh you look like crap' or 'I don't like your arms'. I'm not Wonder Woman! I have self-esteem issues. Everybody does. You know, skinny people are allowed to feel s**t about themselves too."
Clooney: 'My Relationships Are Doomed'
George Clooney has warned new girlfriend Sarah Larson he'll never marry her, because all his relationships are doomed to failure. After divorcing Talia Balsam in 1993, the 46-year-old heartthrob has had a succession of short term flings - and he confesses he is a commitment-phobe. He says, "I'm never at home and every woman gets sick of it. If I was them, I wouldn't put up with me for too long - and they don't. I wonder if I'm going to be relegated to three-year relationships for the rest of my life. My trouble is that I keep taking jobs that take me further away from home."
