Reality TV star Nicole Richie has finally confirmed she is pregnant with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden's child. The socialite daughter of soul star Lionel Richie has for weeks refused to corroborate or deny reports she's expecting a baby with her Good Charlotte boyfriend of nine months. But in an interview to air on TV show Good Morning America on Thursday, Richie, accompanied by Madden, says, "Yes I am (pregnant). We are. I'm almost four months." The news comes just days after Richie pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs on Friday. She was sentenced to serve 96 hours behind bars for what was her second DUI charge in two years, and must complete her jail time by September 28. The 25-year-old was given 21 days to enroll in a drug and alcohol program, has to pay a fine of over $2,000, and was placed on probation for three years. If Richie violates the terms of her probation, she could face another year in jail.

Scarlett Johansson has laughed off claims she will play porn star Jenna Jameson in a Hollywood biopic. Jameson herself prompted reports at the Comic Con convention in San Diego, California in July, when she said of the actress' performance in Lost In Translation, "I remember thinking to myself, this girl has such a sexuality without even really trying to be sexy. I was like, 'This girl could play me.' I love her. She's amazing. She's smart, she's funny. ... She's stunning. I don't want someone who's going to go in there and be like bouncing around. I want someone who can bring some depth." But Johansson knows nothing of the film project - based on Jameson's book How to Make Love Like A Porn Star - which is to be titled Heartbreaker. Her representative tells People.com, "Scarlett has never seen a script nor been approached about this project. She also has no interest in playing this role."

Singer Usher has confirmed he still plans to wed his pregnant girlfriend Tameka Foster and insists his weekend wedding was postponed, not cancelled. The R&B star was due to marry Foster on Saturday afternoon at record executive Antonio 'L.A.' Reid's home in Long Island, New York. But the ceremony was called off at the last minute, with some reports blaming a string of differences in opinion between the couple and the groom's mother's disapproval of the impending nuptials. However, Usher insists the wedding is still on. He tells website UsMagazine.com, "As of right now we don't have a date but we will let you know when we do."

A man impersonating soccer superstar David Beckham has made a number of phone calls to Los Angeles officials in the last week, offering to host charity events and sign autographs. The crank caller has made around 12 calls to the Los Angeles County And Sheriff's Department offices and discussed "his" friend Tom Cruise, charity work with children and giving away tickets to watch him play for L.A. Galaxy. County Public Information Officer Judy Hammond, who played along with the fake Beckham "just in case it was real" says, "He was just very personable." However, officials soon found out the caller wasn't Beckham by asking him questions. Their suspicions were confirmed when he wouldn't provide a callback phone number. A spokesperson for the real Beckham has confirmed the sportsman didn't make the calls and local police are investigating.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan is relieved the actress' father Michael has dropped his demand to have her undergo a drug test, insisting the order was not necessary. Michael Lohan is current embroiled in a bitter divorce and custody battle with Dina and requested his estranged wife take a drugs test to prove that her alcohol abuse, coupled with his own battle against drugs, had played a part in the Freaky Friday star's recent breakdown. But Lohan Snr. - who was recently released from jail - announced on Monday he was dropping the order, although he refused to give the reason behind his decision. Michael is currently only allowed telephone contact with his two youngest children, Aliana, 13 and his 10-year-old son Dakota, but he hopes his latest offer will help his case for visitation rights. Lindsay, 21, and Michael Jr., 19, are exempt from the Family Court order as they are no longer considered minors. His attorney, John DiMascio Jr, says, "(Mr. Lohan is doing) everything he possibly can to reunite with his children." But Dina is not impressed with her ex's demands, retorting, "There never should have been an order." The couple has been ordered by the judge "not to make disparaging comments in the presence of the children" and is due back in court on August 10.

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has finally been sentenced to six years in jail for illegal possession of arms in relation to the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai. In June Dutt's sentencing was delayed following a legal challenge, but on Tuesday Judge PD Kode said there was strong evidence against Dutt and he was not entitled to any leniency in sentencing. Dutt has been on bail since 1995 after spending 18 months in prison during the initial investigations into the bombings and his lawyers had argued the actor should remain free on bail for good behavior. He can appeal against his sentence. Earlier this year, Dutt was cleared of the more serious charge of conspiracy in the attacks, which claimed 257 lives.

American Idol star Corey Clark has been arrested on drug charges and an outstanding warrant in North Little Rock, Arizona. The R&B singer, who infamously claimed he had an affair with the reality TV show's judge Paula Abdul, was taken into police custody on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on July 30. A warrant had been issued for Clark's arrest after he failed to turn up at an Arizona hearing following a 2006 arrest for trespassing and violating a court order. Clark, who was disqualified from American Idol in 2003 when he failed to reveal a previous arrest, is being held at Pulaski County jail ahead of a scheduled court appearance on Tuesday.

Angelina Jolie has dropped her legal battle with a perfume-maker who planned to give her new fragrance the same name as the star's daughter Shiloh. The actress filed a note with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in January after discovering Israeli/French perfume-maker Symine Salimpour was naming her newest scent Shiloh. Salimpour was shocked, claiming she was inspired by Shiloh's Hebrew meaning "his gift" and not Jolie and partner Brad Pitt's 13-month-old daughter. The Washington Post now claims the legal challenge has been dropped and Salimpour can go ahead - and she has vowed to donate five per cent of the perfume's profits to an Israeli non profit organization that provides medical and educational services for disabled children. She tells the newspaper, "I was so scared. I mean, c'mon, who wouldn't be? In Hebrew, Shiloh means 'his gift.' And I will use the perfume to give something back to the children of Israel and the Middle East."

Computer giant Apple has no right to sell Eminem's music, according to a new lawsuit filed by the rapper's music publisher. The suit, filed on Monday in the U.S. District Court in Detroit, accuses Apple of violating copyright by selling Eminem tracks through its download service iTunes. Eminem's music publisher and copyright manager, Eight Mile Style and Martin Affiliated, insist Apple isn't permitted to sell his music because the rapper has not granted his label, Universal, the right to authorize downloads. Apple has been asked to stop selling Eminem's tracks but has so far refused, the suit claims. Eminem previously sued Apple in 2004 after the company used his song "Lose Yourself" in an iTunes TV commercial. The ad was never released.

Paris Hilton has responded to the cancellation of her hit reality series The Simple Life, insisting she's happy to end on a high. The wealthy socialite proved a huge hit on the show with close pal Nicole Richie. But, despite spawning five series, network E! revealed on Monday that The Simple Life would be dropped from next year's line-up. Hilton is unperturbed by the news, saying, "It's been a great five years and we had so much fun. I'm happy to end it at that."
