Moore Blasts Blitzer & CNN Live

Filmmaker Michael Moore launched into an 11-minute rant on American TV on Monday, during which he blasted the media for misrepresenting his new healthcare documentary Sicko. The controversial director was appearing on CNN show The Situation Room when he blasted both the network and host Wolf Blitzer for having a "poor track record" as journalists. Moore had been invited onto the program to counter a report made by CNN's chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, which pointed out alleged false information and statistics in Sicko, which takes aim at the U.S. health care system. Moore blasted, "That report was so biased, I can't imagine which pharmaceutical company ad is coming up right after our break. All the statistics show that we have far worse healthcare than these other industrialized countries. We're the only ones that don't have it free and universal." Moore also accused the network of covering up the truth about the American healthcare system and the country's military involvement in Iraq. He said, "You're the ones who are fudging the facts. You've fudged the facts to the American people now for I don't know how long about this issue, about the war. And I'm just curious, when are you gonna just stand there and apologize to the American people for not bringing the truth to them that isn't sponsored by some major corporation?"
Richie Drunk-Driving Hearing Postponed

Reality TV star Nicole Richie's drunk-driving trial has been postponed again after the socialite's legal team filed a motion in court on Tuesday. The Simple Life star was due to appear in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday to contest a driving under the influence charge relating to a December 2006 arrest. But a judge has instead ordered lawyers to return to court on Wednesday to debate when the hearing can be held. Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Jane Robison says, "The trial will not happen on Wednesday. Richie's attorney filed a motion... stating that their key witness, a drug expert, was unavailable for trial." Richie already has a 2003 misdemeanor DUI conviction.
Baldwin Warns Fans Off Film
The Departed star Alec Baldwin is begging fans to boycott a movie he made six years ago that has been re-edited, re-named and is being released. Baldwin directed, produced and acted in The Devil And Daniel Webster in 2001. Despite a cast including Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Dan Aykroyd, the movie was dismissed by studio bosses and was never released. The film has been re-edited, renamed Shortcut To Happiness, and Baldwin's name has been removed from the directing credits - replaced by pseudonym Harry Kirkpatrick. It will be released in six cities in the U.S. on July 13. And Baldwin is advising fans not to watch the film - describing it as unrecognizable. A friend tells PageSix, "Alec doesn't recommend unrecognizable films to his fans. This is not an Alec Baldwin film. He's in the movie but he has nothing to do with it. His name was taken off as producer and director six years ago, but he couldn't get it taken off as an actor."

Trump Says No to 'The View'

Businesswoman-turned-reality TV star Ivanka Trump has turned down the chance to replace her father's chief foe, Rosie O'Donnell, on magazine show The View. The property tycoon and O'Donnell fell out at the beginning of 2007 when she publicly criticized his decision to give alcoholic Miss U.S.A. Tara Conner a second chance. The pair's war of words helped boost The View's ratings, and now show creator Barbara Walters is hoping to recreate the program's success by inviting Trump's sexy daughter to join the regular hosts. But, speaking on Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest's morning show on Tuesday, Ivanka said, "There's zero chance I would do that. I'm working on the sexiest projects around the world, so, to me, to be on a television show every single day... just wouldn't work in terms of my schedule." But Trump confirmed she had been approached as a possible replacement for O'Donnell: "I've gotten a lot of requests - let's just leave it at that."
Radcliffe Enjoyed Irritating Paparazzi
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix star Daniel Radcliffe enjoyed annoying the paparazzi during his recent stint on the London stage - for six months he deliberately wore the same clothes when leaving the theatre so photographs would be worthless. The 17-year-old was greeted by photographers each night outside the Gielgud Theatre during his stint in controversial West End play Equus, where the teenage actor disrobed onstage every night. Radcliffe quickly realized newspaper and magazine editors wouldn't publish photos of him wearing the same outfit night after night, because it would look like the pictures were taken on the same day. He says, "They (the paparazzi) were outside the theatre every single night, but we came up with a cunning ruse. I would wear the same outfit every time - a different T-shirt underneath, but I'd wear the same jacket and zip it up so they couldn't see what I was wearing underneath, and the same hat. So they could take pictures for six months, but it would look like the same day, so they (photos) became unpublishable. Which was hilarious, because there's nothing better than seeing paparazzi getting really frustrated."
