Longoria & Parker Marry

LATEST: Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have officially tied the knot at a civil ceremony on Friday. The Desperate Housewives star turned up at a city hall in Paris, France, in a limousine wearing a short pink Chanel dress with striped black and white straps - while her new husband arrived in a mini van wearing a dark grey suit. Couples who marry in France must take their vows at a city hall - even if they are planning to have a church wedding as well. The ceremony was officiated by Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe. The newly-married pair are planning a second wedding on Saturday - with the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerroix Church in Paris the likely location.

Previously reported: Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's plans for a private wedding ceremony on Saturday have been dashed - thanks to a church date book. Visitors to the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerroix church in Paris, the rumored site of the ceremony, have been able to view the date book - and Saturday has been mysteriously blocked out. The church, which is located near the Louvre Museum, once served the French royal family. Paris Match magazine claims the couple is still trying to avoid the paparazzi by using the church's back entrance, and Longoria plans to don her designer wedding gown once inside. The civil ceremony is rumored to take place on Friday at Paris' City Hall. Meanwhile, basketball star Parker reportedly surprised his wife-to-be on Tuesday when he arranged a romantic trip for the two of them to France's Mont Saint-Michel medieval citadel - the country's third most visited attraction. The couple reportedly took a helicopter from Paris to Normandy, where they dined at romantic restaurant La MMre Poularde. A waitress tells People magazine, "They just turned up without a reservation. They were very elegant, very beautiful... They seem so very much in love." The couple flew back to Paris the following morning and spent Wednesday partying with family and friends at Disneyland Paris.

'Sex and the City' Film To Shoot This Fall

The long-awaited Sex and the City TV movie has been green-lighted and will start shooting this autumn. Actress Kim Cattrall, who stalled and then axed plans to make the project in 2005 over salary issues, has reportedly agreed to make the one-off film, which follows the four leading lady characters from the hit TV series. Her new deal includes a better salary and a future series deal with U.S. cable channel HBO, according to trade magazine Daily Variety. HBO aired the original Sex and the City series and the cable channel will also back the movie. The Sex and the City film will be directed by the series' longtime director Michael Patrick King, based on a new script he wrote. The project will reunite the TV show's stars, Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. There are no other casting details available. Sex and the City was a ratings winner and critical success during its TV run between 1998 and 2004, when the last episode aired.

Richie "More Than 12 Weeks Pregnant"

Socialite Nicole Richie is more than 12 weeks pregnant with the child of her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden, according to the latest U.S. reports. The Simple Life star found out she is expecting the Good Charlotte frontman's child after taking a home pregnancy test, multiple sources tell American magazine Us Weekly, which put Richie on its cover with the headline "Yes, She's Pregnant!" One insider tells the publication, "She is extremely excited right now." Richie has so far refused to confirm or deny a series of recent pregnancy reports, prompted by pictures of the skinny star with a bloated belly. One theory for the 25-year-old's silence on the subject is she wanted to wait until she passed the "safe" 12-weeks-pregnant mark.

Affleck and Damon To Write Again

Hollywood pals Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are writing their first screenplay together since 1997 hit Good Will Hunting. The pair were unknowns when they wrote and starred in the critically lauded movie, which won them an Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 1998. Since their success they have mostly gone their separate ways, with Affleck starring in blockbuster Armageddon and Damon in The Bourne Identity and its sequels. They are currently enjoying a joint holiday with their families in Hawaii - but are finally keen to team up again. Damon's spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, "That's their plan. Whether or not they are doing it right now, I don't know."

Hilton's Publicist Blasts Hotel Snub Stories

Paris Hilton's publicist has fired back at reports the socialite was turned away from two Maui, Hawaii hotels before booking into a private villa during her recent post-jail vacation. Reports suggested Hilton attempted to check-in to The Four Seasons and the Fairmont Kea Lani upon her arrival on Maui last week, but they turned her down. But aide Elliot Mintz has confirmed his client simply appeared to be checking into the two luxury hotels in an effort to give the paparazzi the slip. Mintz says, "She spent all her time at a private residence." The publicist also denies stories Hilton spent her nights partying with locals, insisting the socialite spent most of her time alone with on-off boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos.

'Flintstones' Composer Shaeffer Dies

The Flintstones composer Will H. Shaeffer has died from cancer in a nursing home in Palm Springs, California at the age of 78. Shaeffer is famous for his work on the hit animation series as well as I Dream Of Jeannie, The Jetsons, The Tonight Show, and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. He also wrote more than 700 commercials and scooped a Pulitzer Prize for his concert piece "The Sound Of America" - for the U.S.' bicentennial celebration in 1976. Schaeffer divorced his wife of 20 years in 1984 and leaves no children.

Diddy Slams Love Split Reports

Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has slammed reports he has split from his long-term love, Kim Porter. The couple originally dated from 1994 to 1999, before rekindling their relationship in 2003, and have three children together - Christian, 10, and twins D'Lila and Jessie, seven months. Porter is alleged to have moved out of Combs' New York City apartment, with plans to make a home in Beverly Hills, California with her kids, where she has just bought a house. Speaking to the New York Post, a source says, "Kim is in Louisiana filming a movie right now, and when it's done she's moving to L.A. She is focusing on her career as a model and actress and raising her children. They are the best of friends, but they just can't be together right now." Mystery has always surrounded the pair's relationship, with Combs linked to a number of women throughout the pair's time together. Earlier this week, Combs was linked to British actress Sienna Miller, and has previously claimed he "still loved" Porter despite dating Jennifer Lopez for two years from 1999. However a spokesperson for Combs has denied the split, saying, "There is no truth to this."

Gore Speaks About Son's Drug Arrest

Former U.S. Vice-President and Live Earth co-organizer Al Gore has spoken about his son's Independence Day DUI and drug possession arrest. Gore's son Al Gore III, 24, was pulled over by police who caught him speeding on an Orange County, California freeway on Wednesday. During a search of his hybrid Prius, cops found a stash of prescription drugs and marijuana. The politician's son was jailed and later bailed. His concerned father, who is preparing for this weekend's Live Earth spectacular, says, "We love him very much and we're just happy that no one was hurt, that he's safe and getting treatment. We're treating it as a private family matter." It isn't the first time Gore's son has faced legal problems for his marijuana use; he was also arrested by police in 2003 for possession. At the time, Gore III was sentenced to serve time in a substance abuse treatment program.

Jackson Looking To Buy Maryland Holiday Home

Michael Jackson is house-hunting for a holiday home on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The singer already has a rented home in Las Vegas and still owns his abandoned Neverland Ranch in California, despite false rumors he is selling the huge estate. Jackson's spokeswoman Raymone Bain has confirmed reports the pop star had been spotted looking at waterfront mansions in Maryland last month. Bain said Jackson spent "about 24 hours" on the peninsula, but has yet to make a purchase. Bain told the Washington Post that Jackson wants an East Coast base because "the majority of his advisers and attorneys are on the East Coast. He's always admired the properties on the East Coast because they have a lot of land. Neverland has 3,000 acres - he likes privacy. You can't find as many properties like that on the West Coast."

Oldman Denies Crying at Cannes

Actor/director Gary Oldman denies he burst into tears after watching his film Nil By Mouth at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It was rumored the Batman Begins actor broke down in tears after watching the movie he penned debut at the French festival in 1997 - but Oldman denies he was emotional. He tells Empire magazine, "Someone mentioned that to me recently, the press conference at Cannes and me being in tears. But, honestly, apart from a (British) journalist saying I was in tears and crying on his shoulder, I don't really remember that." Oldman also denies speculation the film, which is based on an abusive father, is autobiographical. He adds, "Honestly, people wanted this film to be more about me than it really was. It is a little but autobiographical but that's it - and yet people see it as that was my dad on screen and that was my situation. So no matter what I say, people think that it's all about me. It's actually mostly fiction."
