Hudson and Wilson Split?

Hollywood couple Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have amicably split, according to U.S. reports. The actors - who reportedly fell in love on the set of 2006's You, Me and Dupree - parted ways at the end of last month for undisclosed reasons, People.com claims. A source adds, "They're still friends." The reports come just weeks after Wilson's brothers Luke and Andrew sent gossip columns into overdrive when they hinted the couple had wed in secret during a radio interview. When questioned about their relationship status, Andrew joked, "I thought they were married already." Reps for Hudson and Wilson have refused to comment on the split rumors. Hudson is currently in divorce proceedings with estranged husband Chris Robinson, who she split from last August.

Larry and Laurie David End Marriage

Comedy star Larry David has split from Laurie David, his wife of 14 years, according to reports. The New York Post's Page Six column claims the pair have ended their marriage amicably. David made $200 million from his role as co-creator of the hugely successful Seinfeld, before finding fame on the otherside of the camera in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he wrote and starred in. Laurie David has found success of her own as an environmental campaigner and the producer of documentary An Inconvenient Truth. A representative for the couple has refused to comment on the reports.

Minnillo Regrets Lohan Photo Behavior

Lindsay Lohan's "knife pal" Vanessa Minnillo regrets her recent behavior with the young star, according to reports. Pictures of the pair cavorting with knives and pulling at each others' tops in June last year were leaked onto the internet last week. But Minnillo, who is now dating pop star Nick Lachey, is allegedly ashamed by her behaviour, which took place after a night out at New York club Bungalow 8. A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "(Minnillo) got caught up in the moment and thought it would be fun. It was stupid and she regrets it. They were only fooling around."

Hilton Doing "Very Well" in Jail

Socialite Paris Hilton is coping "very well under the circumstances" after spending her first day in jail for violating her probation following a 2006 drunk-driving arrest. The 26-year-old began her 23-day jail term on Sunday night at 10:30pm. Her lawyer Richard Hutton yesterday told reporters gathered outside the Los Angeles jail where Hilton is incarcerated that his client is being held in a 100 square foot "administrative segregation" cell because she is a celebrity. Hilton is allowed outside of her cell for one hour each day "to be in the module, take a shower and talk on the phone." Hutton also confirmed it was Hilton's decision to enter jail under cover of darkness, in an attempt to avoid a "media circus."

O'Donnell: "My Feud Was Fabricated"

TV host Rosie O'Donnell has branded the on-air feud that caused her to quit talk show The View a "publicity stunt." The star's war of words with fellow presenter Elisabeth Hasselbeck over differing political views last month led to O'Donnell leaving the show - but she now insists the dramatic row was purposely incited, according to the New York Daily News. Speaking at the launch for her new book Celebrity Detox, she told the audience her publicist "orchestrated that whole publicity thing just to get more attention for the book ... brazenly calling up the other hosts, telling them to incite me." O'Donnell had already chosen to leave the series when her year-long contract expired this month, but left The View three weeks early, on May 25.

Lohan's Mom Lands TV Show

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan is being lined up to front her own reality TV show in an attempt to make her other offspring famous. The Mean Girls actress' mother is in talks to star in a new show on entertainment channel E!, titled Mom-ager, where she will try to turn her youngest children Ali, 14, and 11-year-old Cody into stars. But a source tells PageSix.com, "Can you believe that? She totally messed up Lindsay by making her a 'star' and living vicariously through her - and now she's going to do the same to the other two? Those kids should be in school having normal lives, the life that Lindsay didn't get to have."

Jolie and Pitt Struggle With Parenthood

Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are struggling to cope with the pressures of raising four young children - and admit parenthood is taking its toll on their relationship. The couple, parents to five-year-old Maddox, three-year-old Pax, two-year-old Zahara and one-year-old Shiloh, concede the strain of parenting means they don't spend enough time together. Jolie says, "Mommy and Daddy need to try to figure out more time right now. Everybody needs individual time. Shiloh has our attention when the others are at school. Mad (Maddox) stays up the latest, so he gets the night time. During the day, I'll go for a walk or do something specific with Pax or Z (Zahara). We're working on it. Right now, we're not great about Mommy-and-Daddy time."

Tarantino Criticism Irritates Italian Film Industry

American director Quentin Tarantino has angered the Italian movie industry after calling the country's contemporary cinema "depressing." The Grindhouse filmmaker is a well-known admirer of Italian cinema in the '60s and '70s, with a particular love of 'spaghetti' westerns and the giallo thriller genre. Tarantino, whose favourite movie is Sergio Leone's 1969 classic The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, said, "New Italian cinema is just depressing. Recent films I've seen are all the same. They talk about boys growing up, or girls growing up, or couples having a crisis, or vacations of the mentally impaired." Veteran actress Sophia Loren has reportedly hit back, "How dare he talk about Italian cinema when he doesn't know anything about American cinema?"

Actor Moore Arrested on Suspicion of Drunk-Driving

American actor Shemar Moore was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning on suspicion of drunk-driving. The 37-year-old, who currently stars on TV series Criminal Minds, was pulled over by Los Angeles police for reportedly speeding near Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:30am. According to the arrest report, Moore "displayed signs of alcohol impairment and a driving under the influence (Dui) investigation was conducted." Moore was arrested and taken to a local police station. He has since been released after posting $5,000 bail, reports website Tmz.com.

Bacon Joins 'Frost/Nixon' Movie

Mystic River actor Kevin Bacon has joined Frank Langella in the upcoming film version of stage play Frost/Nixon. Frost/Nixon is a dramatic reenactment of U.S. President Richard Nixon's famed 1977 TV interview with David Frost, and has wowed audiences in both London's West End and on Broadway. Langella and Michael Sheen are reprising their stage roles as Nixon and Frost respectively in the film adaptation, to be directed by Ron Howard. Bacon will play Nixon's chief of staff Jack Brennan.

Jackson Memorabilia Raises $2 Million

Family memorabilia owned by The Jacksons raised a total of $2 million at a two-day auction in Las Vegas last week. The Guernsey's Auction House sold over 1,100 items at the auction at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which ended on Thursday. A coat owned by Michael Jackson went for $24,000, while his MTV Music Video Award for "We Are The World" sold for $16,000. His 1960s Motown Records ID card was sold for $9,000, and a 1984 telegram from Marlon Brando raised $1,600. Richard Altomare, Chairman of Universal Express, who owned the possessions, says some of the proceeds will be donated to charity. He says, "I am excited for the children's charities that will be benefiting from the outcome, and feel proud that we could help these vital organizations." Altmore also revealed he would put the remainder of items from the collection up for auction at a later date.

Obesity Campaigner's "Death Threats" Over Sparks Remarks

An obesity campaigner who criticized American Idol winner Jordin Sparks' weight has received death threats over her remarks. MeMe Roth, of the National Action Against Obesity group in the U.S., admits she has been the victim of hate-mail ever since her appearance on a TV show, with fans of the star "calling for my death." But Roth refuses to retract her opinions, and insists 17-year-old Sparks is in need of severe weight loss, but denies she referred to the singer as "obese." She tells The Scoop, "When I look at Jordin I see diabetes, I see heart disease, I see high cholesterol. That's what's so sad about this - she is not the vision of health - she is the vision of 'unhealth'. Her extra weight is a reflection of today's society and a culture where many of our children have compromised health due to unhealthful food choices and inactivity ... We have to stop with the 'baby fat,' 'curvy,' 'goddess' euphemisms and own this child health crisis."

Winehouse Has Furious Fight With New Husband

Soul superstar Amy Winehouse has had a furious fight with her new husband hours after her appearance on the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. Pictures have surfaced in British newspaper the Daily Mirror showing the "Rehab" singer arguing with her partner Blake Fielder-Civil outside Hollywood's five-star Sunset Marquis Hotel. A source tells the Daily Mirror, "As soon as they walked into the lobby they started screaming at each other. Amy was shouting: 'You always f**king do this! Don't f**king touch me! F**k you! They were on the curb for over an hour, sobbing and talking. They looked exhausted by the time they finally went to their room." The British singer wed Fielder-Civil in Miami, Florida last month.
