Moore Investigated Over Cuba Trip

Michael Moore is being investigated by the U.S. Treasury after he allegedly broke a trade embargo with Cuba by traveling to the Caribbean island with a group of September 11th rescue workers. The stunt was part of the Oscar winner's latest documentary Sicko, a critique of the health-care industry in America. He supposedly traveled with the 10 rescue workers, made ill from their efforts after the terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center, in a bid to seek treatment for them. Moore this week received a letter from The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control, notifying him that it was conducting a civil investigation for possible violations of the trade embargo restricting travel to Cuba. It reads, "This office has no record that a specific license was issued authorizing you to engage in travel-related transactions involving Cuba." Moore has reportedly arranged for the film to be held in a "safe house" outside the U.S. to protect if from government interference - ahead of its planned premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19.

Hilton Allowed To Drive Again

Paris Hilton is permitted to drive again - despite receiving a sentence for jail time last Friday for violating her probation by driving with a suspended license. The hotel heiress will begin a 45-day sentence next month but, according to the Department of Motor Vehicles, she's free to get behind the wheel of a car in the meantime. Hilton's license was suspended in November after a drink-driving arrest, but the organization claims it was reinstated at the end of March. Veteran Dui attorney Lawrence Taylor says, "If her license was reinstated, she's perfectly okay to drive despite her probation violation. There's no problem with that."

Jolie: "Shiloh Was Planned"

Angelina Jolie has dismissed speculation her pregnancy with daughter Shiloh was unplanned, after she previously insisted she wouldn't have a biological child. Jolie adopted Cambodian orphan Maddox in 2002 as her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton was falling apart and was happy to raise him as a single mother. In 2002, Jolie said, "I'm drawn to kids that are already born. I think some people are meant to do certain things, and I believe I'm meant to find my children in the world somewhere and not necessarily have them genetically." However, after meeting current partner Brad Pitt and adopting a second child, Ethiopian-born Zahara Marley, Jolie began to ponder becoming a mother biologically. She tells Reader's Digest magazine, "Before I met Brad, I always said I was happy never to have a child biologically. He told me he hadn't given up that thought. Then, a few months after (Zahara) came home, I saw Brad with her and (Maddox), and I realized how much he loved them - that a biological child would not in any way be a threat. So I said, 'I want to try.'" Jolie gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia last May.

'Terminator' Revived for 2009 Movie

The Terminator will be back, thanks to a new takeover by entrepreneurs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson. The pair have bought the rights to the film franchise, which has already scored three blockbuster hits, from producers Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar, and they're planning to have a fourth film in cinemas by 2009. It's unlikely that Arnold Schwarzenegger will return as the title character and no director has been attached to the fourth Terminator film. The new movie will center around character John Connor, who was a teenager in the first Terminator films, as he leads mankind on a futuristic battle against machines taking over the planet. The franchise is very much back in vogue - 300 star Lena Headey will reprise Linda Hamilton's Terminator resistance fighter Sarah Conner in a much-anticipated TV series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Brewster Weds in Caribbean

Latina actress Jordana Brewster married film producer Andrew Form in a romantic Caribbean ceremony on Sunday. The Fast And The Furious beauty, 27, walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang dress at the private nuptials on Nevis Island - 50 miles west of Antigua. Brewster met Form, 38, on the set of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in 2005 and announced their engagement in November. Speaking to InStyle Weddings before the ceremony, Brewster said, "We started dating in secret - you know, hanging out in my trailer - because it would have been unprofessional otherwise. But every day, Andrew wore these work boots to the set, and if I was lying down in the shot or there was equipment in the way, I'd look for his shoes. It was comfortable just to know he was nearby."

Willis & Sarandon Lobby for Veterans

Actors Bruce Willis and Susan Sarandon have put aside their political differences to team up and campaign for better treatment for injured US war veterans. Both stars are appalled by the circumstances some Iraq war veterans find themselves in when they get back home, so Republican Willis and Democrat Sarandon are lobbying for more to be done to look after returning soldiers. Sarandon says, "I realized that even though I got in to see a lot of people, I wasn't really able to see the Republicans. That's when I called Bruce. I didn't know him, but I did know that he saw himself as somebody who advocated these guys to go, and that he would surely be advocating for help for them when they got back." Willis adds, "It's an unpopular was and they (veterans) do feel as if they're country has forgotten about them. I went to Walter Reed Army Medical Center... I couldn't stop crying. It was just heartbreaking. They come home with arms and legs shot off, their lives wrecked, and not a lot of help from the government... Somebody's got to speak out for veterans. Susan and I are both talking about the same issue. I feel the same way that she does on it."

Barrymore Named U.N. Ambassador

Actress Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to be named as an ambassador for humanitarian organisation the United Nations (U.N.). The Charlie's Angels star will take the role of Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Program, joining the campaign to improve the lives of people in poor countries. She says, "I am honored and humbled to accept this challenging and rewarding assignment. I can't think of any issue that is more important than working to see that no schoolchild in this world goes hungry." Other high-profile ambassadors for the U.N. include Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Bruckheimer Considers More 'Pirates' Films

Movie mogul Jerry Bruckheimer is planning further Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels, although they may not star Johnny Depp. The third film in the trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, is to be released later this month, and Bruckheimer is already considering the idea of spin-off movies. He tells Australian newspaper The Herald Sun, "This is the end (of the trilogy), but whether one of the characters or a couple of the characters continue on, it's a possibility. Certainly, in a moment at the end of the film there is a hope that something else might happen". Pirates Of The Caribbean regular Geoffrey Rush believes another sequel is likely, although they might not necessarily star Depp. He adds, "Inevitably they may think about it, but Johnny may say, 'Pah, I've burnt out Jack. I couldn't go there again.' Or he may not. I certainly know he wouldn't say 'Hey, treble my fee and I'll do it.'"

Bobby Brown Fights for Custody

Bobby Brown is suing his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, in a bid to change his terms of custody with their teenage daughter. In court papers, the singer reveals he was too "strapped for cash" when his wife first filed for divorce last year and couldn't afford to hire a lawyer to help him fight for custody. Brown says he's devastated about losing his rights to see his 14-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina. The desperate singer admits he has been homeless at times since the divorce, and is seeking spousal support, as well as child support for their daughter. A court date for Brown's new case has set for June 15. The couple's divorce was finalized last month.

Lopez Dismisses Fur Death Threat Reports

Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez has denied reports she has been the target of death threats because of her penchant for wearing fur. The Maid In Manhattan star was said to have been sent a letter warning she'd be killed "in public, just like the slaughtered animals whose fur" she wears. Her husband Marc Anthony was also reported to have hired two off-duty police officers to protect J.Lo. However, a representative for Lopez has dismissed the story as untrue.
