Timberlake Slimes Up a Storm at Kids Choice Awards
Justin Timberlake made sure Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards were a messy affair when he became one of many celebrities to get "slimed" at the Los Angeles prize giving. The pop superstar hosted the awards, and although he boasted he was too famous to get slimed in his opening song, the star was covered in the event's famous green goo twice. Mandy Moore, Rush Hour stars Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire and Steve Carell of The Office were among the other stars to get messed up at the show, while Timberlake and Vince Vaughn ended the show with a slime fest - both got hit with the green stuff and then turned the goo on the audience, hosing down kids and their parents. Timberlake was also a big winner on the night, claiming the Best Male Singer prize. In receiving his award from late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin's daughter Bindi, the singer heaped praise on the thrilled Aussie, stating, "This young lady will change the world." But he was also a big loser - he gave up his 2006 Celebrity Burp Champion of The World belt to the 20,000-strong Kids Choice Awards audience, who belched louder and longer than he did. Among the night's other big winners, Beyonce Knowles took home the Best Female Singer prize and the Best Song honor for "Irreplaceable," Adam Sandler and Dakota Fanning claimed the event's Best Movie Actor and Actress awards, and SpongeBob SquarePants picked up the Favorite Cartoon prize for the fifth successive year.
Cusack's "Stalker" Arrested Outside Cruise Estate

A woman whom movie star John Cusack once called a stalker has been arrested outside the Hollywood home where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes live. Emily Leatherman, 32, was arrested on Thursday afternoon for violation of a court order and possession of stolen property, according to Beverly Hills police. The authorities would not reveal the details of her arrest but stated the stolen items were not related to Cruise or Holmes. Cruise won a restraining order against Leatherman in 2005 and last year a judge ordered her to stay at least 500 feet away from Cusack, after the actor claimed she had been stalking him. In his request for the restraining order, Cusack said Leatherman was "showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside... and listing my address as her own." As WENN went to press, Leatherman was still in custody.
Hudson and McConaughey Escape Deadly Jellyfish

Hollywood stars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey had to be evacuated from the set of their new movie when a deadly jellyfish was found on set. The couple were shooting romantic adventure Fool's Gold in Queensland, Australia when the Irukandji jellyfish was spotted nearby, forcing the cast and crew to vacate the area until the venomous creature was disposed of. Hudson's publicist, Fiona Searson says, "We have a marine expert to ensure everyone's safe and he found the jellyfish. It's an unusual problem to come across. Only in Australia, I suppose." The Irukandji jellyfish has been described by experts as one of the most deadly creatures alive, despite being about the size of a peanut.
Baldwin Offers College Funding to Soldier
Alec Baldwin is proving he has a heart of gold - by offering to finance a US Army soldier's college education after she leaves the military. The Departed star was so moved by an article in a New York newspaper about 18-year-old Private Resha Kane earlier last month, because she reminded him of his own 11-year-old daughter, Ireland. And Baldwin took the trouble to personally track Kane down to her home in Fort Hood, Texas, to make his generous offer. She says of the meeting, "I didn't know what to say. And then I asked him if he could send me his autograph. I've never met a star, let alone talked to one on the phone. It's very generous. Actors have all this money, and it's a good thing to see them do something other than for themselves and show some character and use their money wisely." Baldwin's spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, said it was important to the star to do his bit to support the armed forces, despite being a critic of the war in Iraq. He adds, "(Baldwin) himself tried to find the family, and he was very happy he was able to connect with them. It's a great example that people of different backgrounds can agree on the importance of supporting our troops."

The agreement must be approved by a judge before their divorce is finalized.

Eccentric comedian Russell Brand came eighth, but was also named the worst-dressed man. A GQ spokesperson explains, "Some can't stick him (Brand) but to others he's British exuberance encapsulated."
