Anna Nicole Died of Accidental Overdose

Tragic model Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose, according to Florida police. The 39-year-old was found dead in her suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on February 8 - five months after the death of her 20-year-old son Daniel in the Bahamas. Seminole Tribe Police Chief Charlie Tiger and Broward County, Florida Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Perper announced results of the model's autopsy in Dania, Florida at 10am local time yesterday morning. Tiger said there was nothing to indicate foul play in her death and the case was now closed. Perper said there was "no evidence of disease" in Smith's body, but she had been feeling ill and had a high temperature prior to her collapse. He added he had searched numerous medical records and studied numerous bottles of medication in her possession, including Methadone, anti-anxiety and anti-depression medication. An autopsy showed Smith had overdosed on sleeping medication chloralhydrate and a minimum of eight prescription drugs, including Valium. An investigation into Daniel's death is scheduled to begin in the Bahamas today. Meanwhile, Smith's partner Howard K. Stern, ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead and Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt are submitting DNA tests to determine which man is the father of the model's six-month-old baby Dannielynn.
Suicide Experts Upset About Film Ads

Officials at a top US suicide prevention group are failing to see the funny side of billboard ads for a new comedy that show people killing themselves. Acclaimed indie movie Wristcutters: A Love Story follows a group of people who have taken their own lives, as they take a trip through purgatory. The film, starring Patrick Fugit and Shannyn Sossamon, has won a handful of top indie film prizes in America, but the director of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is not a fan of the film, or its marketing campaign. In a letter to producers, Robert Gebbia says, "You don't see people making fun of other causes of death, but you see it with suicide and mental illness." But producer Courtney Solomon isn't planning to pull the ad campaign, stating, "The movie's message is that love is better than suicide. Our job is to get people into the theatre in a way that's accessible to them. There are many different ways to skin a cat. God forbid someone was considering committing suicide. This film may change their opinion."

Actor Jeremy Piven has reportedly been banned from America's Nobu restaurants after paying a waiter's tip with a DVD. The Old School star was dining at celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa's restaurant in Aspen, Colorado during the recent Us Comedy Arts Festival. When the bill came, Piven paid up and left the waiter a copy of his Entourage series DVD as a tip. The outraged server threw the DVD at the celebrity diner. A fellow diner tells the New York Daily News, "He (Piven) came in with a large group of 12 or more without reservations and asked for a table. It was a very busy night, but a table, although cramped, was provided. On his way out, he made a nasty comment to the manager: 'Thanks for nothing.'" The actor was later advised to steer clear of all Nobu restaurants. But Piven is playing down the incident in Aspen: "I'm such a fan of Nobu and all of his restaurants. I had a great dinner at the Nobu in Aspen. As always, the meal was excellent and the service was great."

Kelly "Had Affair" With Bridesmaid's Husband
Grace Kelly had an affair with her bridesmaid's husband, according to a new book on the Hollywood actress-turned-European royal. The Rear Window beauty is alleged to have enjoyed an illicit relationship with Malcolm Reybold - husband of her best friend Carolyn - during her marriage to Prince Rainier Of Monaco. Wendy Leigh, author of True Grace: The Life And Times Of An American Princess, tells the New York Post that legendary gossip columnist Aileen Mehle told her about a note written from the actress to Carolyn. Mehle said, "In August 1960, I was at dinner and everyone was agog about the letter Princess Grace had written. It was a full confession to Carolyn, her friend and bridesmaid, telling her she loved her but she would never be happy, could never live with herself if she did not confess to Carolyn that she had had an affair with Carolyn's husband, Malcolm. She said she was sorry. She was seeking expiation." Leigh adds, "At that time, Grace's father was on his deathbed. I believe that Grace became virtually unhinged by grief at the prospect of losing him. Hence, her letter of confession to Carolyn. As to her affair with Malcolm, wrong as it was, I believe that she succumbed to Malcolm, an accomplished seducer, at a time when she was vulnerable in the extreme. But receiving that letter from Grace was the beginning of the downfall of Carolyn." Leigh says Carolyn has confirmed Kelly wrote a confession letter to her and that she had forgiven her.
