Fox Arrested for Drunk Driving

Kill Bill star Vivica A. Fox was arrested on Tuesday night on suspicion of drunk driving. The actress was stopped for speeding on the 101 freeway in the San Fernando Valley, California. According to a police report, obtained by US news show Entertainment Tonight, officers also noted Fox was "unable to maintain lane position" in her Cadillac. Police asked the actress to perform a field sobriety test, during which Fox was "unable to satisfactorily perform" and they noted that "a breath test indicated the presence of alcohol greater than 0.08%, the California legal limit." She was released from police custody early yesterday morning. Fox's publicist has refused to comment about the incident.

Richie Diagnosed with Hypoglycemia

The Simple Life star Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with blood disorder hypoglycemia. The condition means the skinny socialite's blood sugar levels are often too low to provide an adequate amount of energy for her body. A spokesperson for Richie tells America's People magazine, "In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently been diagnosed with hypoglycemia. (She) is taking steps to manage it." The diagnosis comes less than a month after Richie was hospitalized for dehydration after falling ill while filming the new season of her hit reality show, in which she and pal Paris Hilton have been counseling children at a health camp. A source says, "Four or five times she's felt really faint and almost passed out and then she has to go into her trailer for a good part of the day." Richie has spent the last year battling reports she has an eating disorder and recently confessed she called in a therapist and a nutritionist to help her figure out why she was so thin.

Larry "Bud" Melman Dies

American actor Calvert DeForest, David Letterman's former side-kick, has died after a long illness. He was 85. DeForest enjoyed a successful career as a TV character actor, but is most famous for playing oddball Larry 'Bud' Melman on Letterman's TV talk shows from 1982 to 2002. His death in a hospital in Long Island, New York on Monday was announced on the Late Show With David Letterman last night. Letterman says in a statement, "Everyone always wondered if Calvert was an actor playing a character, but in reality he was just himself - a genuine, modest and nice man. To our staff and to our viewers, he was a beloved and valued part of our show, and we will miss him."

Harrelson's Father Dies in Prison

Movie actor Woody Harrelson's father, a convicted murderer, has died of a heart attack in prison. He was 69. Charles Harrelson, who was serving two life sentences in Colorado's high-security Supermax prison for the 1979 murder of a federal judge, was found dead in his cell last Thursday. Fremont County Coroner Dorothy Twellman has concluded Harrelson probably died in his sleep. She says, "It appears to be very sudden." Harrelson was convicted of murdering US District Judge John Wood outside his San Antonio, Texas home in May 1979. He denied the killing, but prosecutors said a drug dealer paid him $250,000 to assassinate Wood so he would not preside over a trial. Harrelson had earlier been found guilty of, and served time for, a 1968 killing.

Jolie Introduces New Son to Zahara

Angelina Jolie brought her eldest daughter Zahara Marley to meet her new adopted brother Pax Thien in Vietnam last week, while partner Brad Pitt cared for baby Shiloh Nouvel back in Los Angeles. It was originally thought only the couple's son Maddox, five, accompanied Jolie on her trip to Vietnam, but exclusive photos of the actress with the latest addition to her family show two-year-old Zahara also joined her. Jolie and her two adopted children arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on March 14, where she spent a few days as the adoption process for three-year-old Pax was completed. Jolie and the three children bonded at the city's Hyatt Hotel, before flying to the capital Hanoi on Monday to pick up a visa for Pax to leave the country. The exclusive photos, licensed to various magazines around the world, show Jolie cuddled up to Pax Thien as he munches on a strawberry. Other images show Pax and new sister Zahara playing by a swimming pool, and another shows the boy sleeping peacefully beside brother Maddox. Jolie says she bought Pax a Game Boy, because, "He has never had anything to call his own." She adds, "We are slowly beginning to gain his trust and bond, but it will feel complete only when we are all a family." Pitt has been bringing 10-month-old Shiloh to the LA set of The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button for the past week.

Johansson: "I Never Dated Timberlake"

Scarlett Johansson insists she never dated Justin Timberlake, despite press reports that stated she came between the singer and fellow actress Jessica Biel. The Lost In Translation star tells the new issue of style magazine Vogue she has often "hung out" with Timberlake, but people let their imaginations run wild when the pair locked lips in the pop star's steamy new "What Goes Around Comes Around" video. She says, "We had fun together, but it's not like the first time I've ever hung out with him. I think this (rumor) happens because we're both single and in the spotlight, and obviously Justin's a very high-profile person."

McCartney Sends Flowers to Mills

Sir Paul McCartney and estranged wife Heather Mills are still friends and the former Beatle sent a bouquet of flowers to mark the former model's debut on reality TV show Dancing With The Stars. Despite media reports of a bitter battle between the pair - who split last year after four years of marriage - Mills insists relations between her and McCartney are amicable, and blames the rocker's lawyers for dragging out their divorce. She told talk show host Larry King on Tuesday night about McCartney's gift: "It was nice. There was a card that read, 'Dear Mummy, love Daddy and Beatrice.' We still have a friendship, it's just the lawyers who are nasty. Not on my side, but on his side. There's one woman. The lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, wants to drag it out to fill her pockets. She has said some mean things. She wants to make it as difficult as possible." She adds of her split from McCartney, "I still love him. He's the father of my child. But you can love someone and not be right for each other and have to move on. It's like a death. You marry someone because you are madly in love. We had a beautiful child after I'd had ectopic pregnancies and a miscarriage. We were together for seven years. We tried and tried and tried. But sometimes you have to say, 'It's not working.'"

Tarantino Bound by Bondage Shoot

Moviemaker Quentin Tarantino was bound and 'stabbed' for a disturbing new David LaChappelle magazine photo spread. The Kill Bill maverick is pictured with two naked Japanese models in the eye-catching photos, which feature in the new issue of men's magazine GQ. In one shot, Tarantino, wearing an all-white suit, is bound up on the floor by one model while the other attempts to kiss him while hanging from a nearby wall. In another, fake blood spurts out of his body and all over one of the tattooed models after he appears to have been stabbed by a sword. LaChappelle's pal Pamela Anderson turned up for the shoot and reportedly taunted Tarantino with a bottle of champagne, while the director was bound up in the photographer's Los Angeles studio.

Spears Pleads for Privacy As She Leaves Rehab

Britney Spears has left rehab after completing a four week program at a Malibu, California treatment center and has pleaded with the world's media to respect her privacy. The troubled pop star - who checked into the Promises rehabilitation center last month - was being treated for substance abuse, but it is unclear exactly when the 25-year-old left the facility. Spears first checked into Eric Clapton's Crossroads treatment center in Antigua on February 14, but left the following day. She checked into Promises on February 19, before leaving the next day, and then re-checked herself in on February 21. The singer's treatment came after months of hard-partying following her split from husband Kevin Federline in November. Days before she checked into Promises, Spears stunned fans by shaving her head and getting a tattoo of a pair of lips on her wrist. In a statement issued late on Tuesday, Spear's manager Larry Rudolph confirmed her exit from rehab and asked for the press to keep their distance while she settles back into life at home with her two babies Sean Preston and Jayden James. He says, "(She) has been released by the Promises Malibu Treatment Center after successfully completing their program. We ask that the media respects her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

Timberlake Regrets Grammy Awards Talent Showcase

Justin Timberlake regrets his Grammy Awards performance with a rejected American Idol singer, insisting event organizers took advantage of his "nice guy" attitude. The singer performed a medley of tunes with Robyn Troup, who won a TV contest called "My Grammy Moment" to land the chance to perform with Timberlake on music's biggest stage last month. Timberlake tells men's magazine Details he considered pulling out of the performance, but feared he'd left it too late. So, even with a heavy cold that prompted him to withdraw from a pre-Grammy party performance, he agreed to go through with what he felt was a bad idea. He says, "I'm the nice guy who follows through on the things he commits to. But I don't know if I'll be going through that sort of thing again. I feel like the Grammys used me for ratings."
