Schreiber Confirms Watts Pregnancy

Liev Schreiber has confirmed he and girlfriend Naomi Watts are expecting their first child together. Watts sparked rumors she was pregnant after appearing on the red carpet at the Oscar ceremony on Sunday with a noticeably fuller figure. Schreiber appeared on talk show Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Monday where he confirmed the happy news saying, "I'm going to be a dad. Very exciting! It's a strange thing about women. You can take a complete wall-flower, a quiet girl and get them pregnant and then they want to go out all the time! So I gave her grief about going to the Oscars and she said, 'No, no, it's a very auspicious thing' that our 'embryo' I guess, was going to be going to the Oscars." When asked whether the couple had thought about any names he replied, "I'm trying to stay out of it all. I'm trying not to make any decisions. I find everything I try to do in service of her or the coming baby is wrong. I really don't even go to my house much anymore." When O'Brien asked if they would consider passing the unique name Liev on to their offspring he added, "No, it's a terrible name. It's probably the most mis-pronounced name in all of show business. It's bad enough that I have gone through that for 15 years. There won't be any Liev juniors. It's not like George, you can call five kids George. You can't really call anyone Liev, you shouldn't call one child that, I don' t think!"

Vogue Editor Blamed for Hudson Fashion Disaster

An editor of US fashion magazine Vogue is being blamed for Jennifer Hudson's widely criticized ensemble on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday. Andre Leon Talley guided the new star through the awards season, helping style her for her major appearances after the success of Dreamgirls. Hudson wore a brown Oscar De La Renta gown for the Academy Awards ceremony and added a metallic gold bolero jacket to walk the red carpet. But the star was slammed for her appearance and admitted on morning show Today that she would have selected a different outfit. A source tells PageSix.com, "Jennifer was kind of sponsored by Talley and Vogue. Andre insisted she wear that hideous Oscar De La Renta dress with the awful, awful gold python bolero. Jennifer really didn't want to, and so (celebrity stylist) Jessica Paster got her a beautiful gold Roberto Cavalli (gown) custom-made. But when Andre found out, he went ballistic. Moments before she left for the show, there was a power struggle and Jennifer ended up putting his outfit on." Although she didn't score on the red carpet, Hudson did take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Mirren Laughs Off Royal Invitation Rumors

Dame Helen Mirren has categorically dismissed reports she's been invited to visit Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in the wake of her success in the movie The Queen. Oscar-winner Mirren was said to have been asked to lunch with the British monarch along with screenwriter Peter Morgan and director Stephen Frears, who also both received Academy Award nominations. But the actress insists the invitation was a media myth. She says, "No - not a true story. Not a true story. We will never (hear a response from the Palace), I don't think. And if we did, I wouldn't tell you anyway." In fact Mirren is relieved not to have received an invitation to visit the woman she portrayed, as she would be stuck for words. She adds, "I have thought about that. You know, what would I do? I don't think I could handle that. No. 'Thank you, Ma'am, for being who you are, and allowing me to be you.' I mean what do you say? Very, very difficult."

Kidman Parties With Ex-Husband Cruise

Nicole Kidman and her ex-husband Tom Cruise shocked party-goers at the Vanity Fair Oscar soiree when they enthusiastically chatted with each other and introduced their new spouses. Kidman and her husband Keith Urban spent 20 minutes in "animated conversation" with the Top Gun star and his new bride Katie Holmes. According to Sydney, Australia's Daily Telegraph, the meet-and-greet between the celebrity couples caused a stir at the exclusive post-Oscars party and was watched intently by the VIP crowd. Urban skipped the trip up the red carpet with his wife, but the Aussie couple presented a united front in their first big industry outing since his treatment for alcoholism last year. A tanned and healthy-looking Urban was all smiles by his wife's side, as the couple prepare to head home next month for his national tour and her new movie.

Willis Slams Claims He Used Madam's Services

Actor Bruce Willis has slammed reports he used the services of Hollywood madam Jody "Babydoll" Gibson. Gibson was convicted in 2000 of operating an international prostitution ring and threatened to disclose the names of her celebrity clients during her trial. Although the names of her famous clientele were never made public, she is now revealing them in her autobiography Secrets Of A Hollywood Supermadam. The book, out on Thursday in the US, reportedly names two dozen celebrities she says patronized her call-girl service. According to the Los Angeles Times, a review of court records shows Gibson listed Willis, former Los Angeles Dodgers baseball manager Tommy Lasorda, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones and late film producer Don Simpson as her clients. But Willis' attorney Marty Singer has dismissed the claims, saying, "The story is a complete fabrication. (Willis) doesn't know this woman. He's never even spoken to her." Meanwhile, Jones says he might have used Gibson's escort services, "It's possible. I crossed paths with her back then. She was a madam, but if I remember right, she wanted to be a singer in a band." Authorities never prosecuted any of Gibson's clients, and there was no proof that anyone she listed actually patronized her service. Her "California Dreamin" prostitution ring, which operated in 16 states and in Europe, employed porn stars and Playboy models.

Beckham Draws Embarrassing Auction Bid

A private soccer lesson with David Beckham received the lowest bid at Sir Elton John's post-Oscar bash on Sunday night. Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham are moving to the US later this year after he signed a $250 million contract to play with the La Galaxy soccer team. Despite the talents of veteran charity auctioneer Sharon Stone, the lesson sold for $70,000. Most prizes at the star-studded auction scored six-figure bids. Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs bid $65,000, but was outbid at the last moment. A source tells PageSix, "Guess that shows how much Americans care about soccer!" Beckham wasn't present at the bash but in Spain, where he is still under contract with the Real Madrid team.

Diddy Caught Up in Fight Scandal

Sean 'Diddy' Combs is being investigated by Los Angeles police for allegedly attacking a man at an Oscars party. Gerard Rechnitzer claims the rap mogul punched him in the jaw after the 27-year-old realtor objected to Diddy's attempts to woo his fiancee at a Roosevelt Hotel party on Sunday night. According to Tmz.com, Rechnitzer watched as Diddy attempted to court his girlfriend and invite her to a private party as he returned from a toilet break. When Rechnitzer stepped in to ask his fiancee to leave with him, Combs allegedly lashed out - and then fled the scene with his entourage. Rechnitzer called the police and filed a report.

Hudson Shocked by Murphy Oscar Loss

Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson was stunned when Eddie Murphy lost the Best Supporting Actor award at the Oscar ceremony on Sunday and feared the members of the Academy had turned against the film. Murphy was heavily favored to take home the prize but lost out to Little Miss Sunshine star Alan Arkin. Hudson claims she was nervous about her nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the film and Murphy's loss added to her feelings of insecurity. She explains when he lost, "I was very, very shocked. Very shocked. And of course that made everybody nervous. We were all like 'Uh-oh. Oh, God.' You know, but he's still a winner." Hudson ended up wining the Oscar for her role as Effie White in the film.

Jackson Hits TV News Show To Clear Up Rumors

Reclusive Michael Jackson has gone public in a bid to clear up a number of rumous swirling around him. The pop superstar has written to producers at US news show Access Hollywood in an effort to end speculation about his comeback. In a statement from his representatives, Jackson insists the "unsubstantiated rumors" involving him are "erroneous and untrue." These include reports he's planning a concert tour with members of his family, hoping to star in a Las Vegas spectacular and releasing a new duet he recorded with Fugees star Pras Michel. His reps state, "Mr. Jackson has been presented numerous proposals, proposals which he has not solicited, but were presented to him, several of which include performing in Las Vegas. Mr. Jackson is currently reviewing and evaluating each proposal. He does not believe that he is under any time constraint for making his decisions. Therefore, reports that he has 'been unsuccessful in finding a Las Vegas casino for his show, resulting in his having to turn to his family' are false." The statement also reveals Jackson "has no current plans to appear or perform on American Idol", and that he "never leased property from Michael Flatly (sic) in Ireland," referring to a report stating he was evicted from property owned by Lord Of The Dance star Michael Flatley.

Radcliffe Told To Only Sign 'Equus' Merchandise

Actor Daniel Radcliffe has been ordered to only autograph items related to the London play he is currently appearing in - and not Harry Potter merchandise. The 17-year-old is starring in a revival of controversial play Equus, in which he makes his nude debut, and is besieged by hundreds of Potter fans each night outside the Gielgud Theatre. But play producer David Pugh says, "I have told him that he can meet his fans at the door but only sign Equus stuff. We have had hundreds of people at the stage door every night and he is very good, he always meets them. He has even taken to signing hundreds of cards before the performance and handing them out."
