Actress Brooke Shields has proven she's forgiven and forgotten her bitter feud with Tom Cruise by flying to Italy for the movie star's weekend wedding to Katie Holmes. Shields and Scientologist Cruise fell out when the Mission: Impossible III star publicly berated the actress for promoting antidepressants for postpartum depression in TV interviews and in her book Down Came The Rain. The pair has since made up over a peace breakfast at Shields' home and the actress has become close friends with Holmes, who gave birth to her first child Suri on the same day and in the same hospital as Shields welcomed baby Grier. Shields put off shooting a new movie to attend the nuptials, which are scheduled to take place at the Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, just north of Rome on Saturday. She was among the first stars to touch down in Italy when she arrived Wednesday. Other celebrity wedding guests who have arrived in Bracciano include Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Scientologists Jenna Elfman and Leah Remini and new Hollywood couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and John Travolta and Kelly Preston are also expected for the wedding, along with moviemaker Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw.

Blade: Trinity actress Jessica Biel is reportedly dating baseball star Derek Jeter after the pair were spotted in a Los Angeles club. The 24-year-old beauty spent the evening with Jeter at Hyde, a favorite haunt of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, and they were seen leaving together, according to the New York Post. Halfway through the night, Biel visited the restroom and a gaggle of girls approached the New York Yankees shortstop, but he immediately dismissed them, suggesting he only has eyes for Biel. Jeter is no stranger to famous females - he has previously been romantically linked to Mariah Carey, Scarlett Johansson and MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo.

Bodyguards protecting Angelina Jolie have been accused of "roughing up" children and parents at an Indian school during shooting for new movie A Mighty Heart. Filming went smoothly Thursday until the gates at the Anjuman-e-Islam school in Mumbai were opened to allow parents to collect their children. Mohammed Yusuf Patni, general secretary of the school's Parent Teacher Association, says, "Jolie's bodyguard called one parent, 'You bloody Indian.' Children were pushed around. Mothers were also shoved aside by the guards." But a spokesperson for British production company Dallington TV, which organized the school shoot, insists the blame lies with paparazzi and television crews who rushed through the open gates to get close to Jolie. A statement reads, "We had the full permission and cooperation of the school to film on the premises. When the gates were opened to allow the parents in to collect their children, the paparazzi rushed the school causing confusion." This is not the first time security staff protecting Jolie, Brad Pitt and their three children have caused controversy since their arrival in India last month. An Associated Press photographer claimed he was punched and threatened with a gun on the A Mighty Heart set last month, and another photographer was allegedly attacked outside Jolie's hotel in Pune just days earlier.

Jaime Pressly finally confirmed she is expecting a baby with fiance Eric Cubiche after initially insisting reports of her impending motherhood were false. The My Name Is Earl beauty confessed she is now four months pregnant to US talk show host Jay Leno on The Tonight Show yesterday. Pressly's co-star Jason Lee fueled speculation surrounding her pregnancy in September by declaring the actress will "be a great mom" and she now admits she had told him about her news. The 29-year-old said of her initial denial, "I was only a month pregnant so I lied, which is a woman's right." Pressly's doctor has confirmed she will have a boy. She told Leno, "She asked me what I thought I was having and I said a boy. She looked at the picture and said, 'If that's not a boy that's a third leg.' Of course, Eric says it's because he's Cuban." Cubiche and Pressly's son will be called Dezi James.

Nicole Richie has launched a scathing attack on the reporters who accused her of having gastric band surgery, calling their claims "absurd." Earlier this week, the New York Post published a story claiming an unnamed "Hollywood starlet" underwent gastric surgery and then had the procedure reversed, and subsequent reports have identified The Simple Life star as the person in question. Despite her publicist blasting the reports Wednesday, Richie has waded into the controversy herself, accusing the press of trying to blight her attempts to gain weight. She says, "So I gain a little bit of weight, and I'm accused of having a gastric bypass surgery reversed? It's pathetic to insinuate I have done this. Anyone that knows anything about this surgery would know that legally, you must be at least 100 pounds overweight to even have the surgery done, and is a serious, life-changing procedure; not one to throw around as a joke or a rumor. I've given a statement I am in the process of putting on weight, and that should be enough. Its a shame to hear that instead of hearing supportive words, someone needs to spin it in some negative, absurd way."

Dance superstar Michael Flatley is suffering a serious immune virus and may never dance again. Thursday it was revealed the 49-year-old Lord Of The Dance star has been battling a mystery illness in a private London hospital for the past two weeks. It was rumored to be connected to a face cancer scare Flatley spoke of earlier this year - but the star's spokesperson Geraldine Roche reveals he has a virus that is attacking his immune system and may rob him of his ability to dance. Doctors have carried out a series of tests on him - but are unable to establish what is wrong. After speaking with Flatley yesterday - Roche says, "He is very frustrated that he has been in hospital so long. He is incredibly motivated and driven and wants to get back on stage as soon as possible. But so far doctors have been unable to give him a firm promise on what the future holds and whether he'll ever be able to dance again. He has been inundated with messages of support." A friend who visited the star yesterday reveals, "He was conscious yesterday but was having difficulty breathing owing to a build up of fluid on his lungs. He has been suffering from flu like symptoms for sometime which have got progressively worse." Flatley has cancelled the forthcoming European tour of Celtic Tiger, his latest production.

Kevin Federline filed for sole custody of his two young children with pop star Britney Spears because he feels she is not fit to take care of them on her own. The former dancer counter-sued Spears one day after she filed for divorce, asking for sole physical and legal custody of children Sean Preston, 14 months and Jayden James, two months. Federline may use Spears' series of very public parenting mishaps against her, including an incident earlier this year where she drove with Sean Preston on her lap and another where she had him in his car safety seat facing the wrong way. According to Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, "Kevin feels he is a great parent and acting solely in the best interest of his children. He's not doing this for the money. Kevin is prepared to go the distance in order to protect and safeguard the children and will not be dissuaded or intimidated from the pursuit of these goals." Federline also has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson: Kori, four and Kaleb, two. According to Jackson, she doesn't receive any child support from Federline, but he does pay for the children's private school costs. Spears' grandfather, June Austin Spears has lashed out at Federline telling American publication Star, "Why didn't he try and get custody of his other kids? It's because that other woman doesn't have money, and Britney has money."

Pop star and actress Hilary Duff is being hailed a heroine by Hurricane Katrina charities after buying 200,000 meals for two refugee shelters in Houston, Texas. Duff bought the meals through charity USA Harvest and they'll be shipped to the shelters, where victims of the 2005 storms are still struggling to recover from the disaster. It's not the first time Duff has helped the victims of Hurricane Katrina through USA Harvest - she has carried out relief work with the charity. USA Harvest chairman Stan Curtis says, "Hilary has set an extraordinary example with her generous contributions to the Gulf Coast victims of last year's tragic hurricanes. With her current contribution, Hilary will have donated over 2.7 million meals to the victims who still need these generous donations." On the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in August, Duff traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana with Curtis to visit and aid victims of the hurricanes.

Whitney Houston's New Jersey home reportedly faces being seized and sold, because she owes more than $1 million in mortgage payments and unpaid taxes. The sale will take place on January 4, after being authorized this week by the Morris County Sheriff's Office. It follows a lawsuit filed by the service agent for the mortgage holder, Chevy Chase Bank, in June this year. If the sale goes ahead, Houston will only lose one of two properties that occupy her estate - which she bought in 1987 for $2.7 million - the one valued at $889,300. And adjacent house is valued at $5.6 million. The only way out for Houston is if she is able to reach a settlement with the service agent. The 43-year-old singer has dismissed the reports to Associated Press and her publicist insists the property is not in foreclosure.

Director Kevin Smith has signed up to star in the US remake of hit British TV show Manchild, because he wants to become a better actor. Smith has written, directed and starred in Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma and Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back - and now wants to turn his attention solely to portraying a cynical divorcee in the Showtime comedy. He tells MTV, "It should be an interesting exercise that, if the show works as well as the script, will turn into a sweet side gig for me. At the very least, I'll learn a thing or two about acting; at the most, I'll have something to do four months out of every year."
