Maguire's a Dad

Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is celebrating after his fiancee Jennifer Meyer gave birth to the couple's first child. The 31-year-old jewelry designer - daughter of Universal Studios executive Ron Meyer - gave birth to a baby girl at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday. The couple started dating in early 2003 and became engaged earlier this year. Maguire is next set to be seen onscreen in The Good German alongside George Clooney and Cate Blanchett, and then next year in sequel Spider-Man 3 with Kirsten Dunst and Topher Grace.

Law and Miller Split

Jude Law and Sienna Miller have reportedly split for good, blaming "fundamental differences" for the end of their three year relationship. The pair only reunited earlier this year after splitting in 2005 when Law's affair with his children's nanny Daisy Wright was revealed by a national newspaper. According to friends, the pair decided to end the relationship after a crisis meeting last week. A source close to the couple tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Jude and Sienna decided it was over last week. Basically they had fundamental differences in their approaches to life. It was a mutual agreement because they both thought the relationship had run it's course. It's very sad for both of them. They both tried and tried to make it work but they couldn't see a future together and decided to separate."

Richards Regrets Laptop-Throwing "Mistake"

Denise Richards regrets throwing a laptop off a balcony in Canada on Wednesday, calling the incident "a big mistake." The actress grabbed a photographer's laptop and threw it over the balcony of the set of Blonde And Blonder at the River Rock Casino and Hotel in Richmond, British Columbia, where it landed on an 80-year-old pensioner in a wheelchair, leaving her slightly bruised. In an interview airing on TV show Access Hollywood tomorrow, Richards says, "I am not justifying my behavior. It was wrong. I saw one of the photographers, went up to him and offered to give him a few nice shots and asked him to please leave so we can focus on our scene. He wouldn't and he got really belligerent and he was saying vulgar, nasty things to me and made a derogatory remark about my family. I just did what I did and I feel terrible. Over the balcony it went. It was a big mistake on my part. I'm not volatile at all. I'm not aggressive. I've never been with the paparazzi. I feel bad that I ended up doing that." Corporal Peter Thiessen, a media relations officer for the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police, says no criminal charges have been filed and Richards is paying for the damage to the computer. Thiessen says, "The photographers, Denise Richards and her management company have agreed to settle the matter civilly regarding the damages to the photographers' laptops. It is not in the public interest to forward criminal charges regarding this matter."

Pamela Anderson Suffers Miscarriage

Former Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson has reportedly suffered a miscarriage shortly after falling pregnant with new husband Kid Rock's baby. The 39-year-old was treated by a doctor in Vancouver, Canada, last week after suffering complications and lost her unborn child, according to American publication Us Weekly. Anderson's spokesperson Tracy Nguyen asks that, "Pamela's privacy be respected at this time." Anderson is filming new movie Blonde and Blonder in the Canadian city with Denise Richards - who accidentally injured a pensioner on Wednesday when she threw two photographers' laptops off a hotel balcony. A source says, "She will keep trying. She really wants another baby with Bob." It is believed the stress of a hectic filming schedule caused the miscarriage. Anderson married Kid Rock - real name Robert Ritchie - in August following a whirlwind second romance. She already has two sons - Brandon, 10, and eight-year-old Dylan - from her marriage to Tommy Lee.

Diaz Demanding Nose Job

Hollywood beauty Cameron Diaz is so unhappy with her nose she's decided to go under the knife. The Charlie's Angels actress has broken it four times already, the last time in a surfing accident, and now hopes corrective surgery will put everything back in place. However, the star is adamant she's not undergoing the procedure for vain reasons - the disfigurement is actually hampering her breathing. She explains, "I'm getting it fixed. I can't take it. I cannot breathe at all. One side of my nose is totally shattered - my septum is basically like a train derailed."

Steve McQueen Memorabilia Sells Big at Auction

Sunglasses belonging to late acting legend Steve McQueen have sold for a staggering $70,200 at an auction in Los Angeles. The blue-tinted Persol shades, worn by the actor in 1968 movie The Thomas Crown Affair, were among 225 items put up for sale by McQueen's widow Barbara at LA auction house Bonham's. McQueen's Indian Sport Scout motorbike was sold for $150,000 and a ballpoint pen fetched $2,200. According to reports, tycoons Bill Gates and Donald Trump were among high bidders. Auctioneer Mark Osborne explains the high price for McQueen memorabilia, "If McQueen drove it, rode it or wore it, it was cool." The actor died in 1980 at the age of 50.

Lohan Never Saw Scathing Letter

Lindsay Lohan insists she never saw a scathing letter from studio boss James G. Robinson chastising her for her party girl antics while filming the movie Georgia Rule. In July, the Morgan Creek CEO reprimanded Lohan for calling in sick during filming in a letter in which he also accused her of acting like a spoiled child. The letter was reportedly delivered to Lohan at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel where she was living at the time, but she claims she never received it. The 20-year-old explains, "I never even saw that letter, by the way. I really didn't until it was published. I saw it on the news." Lohan doesn't understand what all the fuss was about and believes her personal life didn't affect her performance in the film. She adds, "It was so funny because I'm very close with his son and the movie, I just saw recently. I hope I'm not getting in trouble for saying that I saw it. I snuck into the back and the movie turned out amazing."

Costner Wins Casino Battle

Kevin Costner has won a vital legal battle over his stake in a casino in Deadwood, South Dakota. The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the Dances With Wolves star doesn't have to sell his 93.5 per cent stake in The Midnight Star - named after the saloon in Costner movie Silverado - in order to sever ties with his two partners in the business. Costner handed Carla and Francis Caneva 6.5 per cent of the business when he hired them to manage the casino. He fired them in 2004 and offered to buy them out. The actor's attempts to regain control of the business - he estimates is worth $3.1 million - turned against him last month when a lower court ruled he must pay $6.2 million to the couple. The decision would have forced Costner to pay out or sell the casino - but the actor appealed and the State Supreme Court agreed, ruling that the lower court failed to follow the Internal Revenue Standard when assessing the value of the property. The casino will be revalued and Costner must only pay 6.5 per cent of any accumulated interested if it is worth more than the $4.9 million Costner invested in it and nothing if it is worth less.

Jagger's Father Dies

Sir Mick Jagger's father Joe Jagger died on Saturday night. He was 93. Joe was admitted into a hospital last week after injuring himself in a fall at his Surrey, southern England home. He died of pneumonia. The Rolling Stones frontman, 63, abandoned the band's American tour to be at his father's bedside, but has returned to Las Vegas where he is performed last night. Jagger's spokesman says, "Mr. (Joe) Jagger was admitted to Kingston Hospital, Surrey, just over a week ago and died of pneumonia. The family would like to thank the hospital for their care and support."

Swank Attacked by Wayward Suspender

Oscar-winner Hilary Swank suffered a shocking injury on the set of her latest film after being hit in the face by a suspender worn by co-star Gerard Butler. The Boys Don't Cry needed three stitches after one of the suspenders snapped and whacked her above the eye. According to gossip site Pagesix.com, the incident happened on the set of forthcoming movie P.S I Love You, but it wasn't serious enough to stop the actress coming back to work the following day. Swank plays a widow who discovers messages her late husband wrote her before he died in the movie.
