Phillippe Speaks Out After Infidelity Rumors

Hollywood star Ryan Phillippe has spoken out following his shock split from wife Reese Witherspoon last week, declaring he's "not guilty of a lot of things" he has been accused of. Witherspoon, 30, and Phillippe, 32, announced they were splitting after seven years of marriage and two children together on October 30. Following the announcement, tabloids began to speculate Phillippe had cheated on his Oscar winning wife with his Stop Loss co-star Abbie Cornish, which the Australian actress has vigorously denied. Speaking for the first time since the split, the Crash hunk tells America's People magazine, "I'm not a perfect person, but I'm not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family." In response to rumors Witherspoon was unhappy with Phillippe's partying, his representative says, "Look, he went out, she went out, it wasn't a point of conflict." Meanwhile, Witherspoon has officially filed for divorce, asking the court for joint legal custody of the couple's two children. The actress is also asking the judge to block attempts by her estranged husband to get spousal support, and she is seeking "exclusive use of the family residence." In the legal documents, obtained by news website TMZ.com, Witherspoon lists the date of separation as October 30, and cites "irreconcilable differences" for the split.

Federline Responds to Britney Divorce

Kevin Federline wasted no time in responding to his estranged wife Britney Spears' divorce plans by filing his own papers in Los Angeles yesterday. Just a day after news broke of Spears' divorce plans, which she filed in Los Angeles on Monday, Federline's attorney Mark Kaplan filed the rapper's response. According to the documents, Federline is asking for legal and physical custody of the couple's children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He is asking the authorities to award Spears visitation rights. The custody battle is set to be the fiery aspect of the divorce - in her petition, Spears asked for sole physical and legal custody of the kids. Federline is also asking the court to award him spousal support.

Kidman Visits Urban in California Rehab Center

Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and new husband Keith Urban were spotted at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, on Sunday, where Urban is seeking treatment. The country singer entered rehab for alcoholism on October 19 and media reports at the time said he was in a program near the couple's hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, not California. A source close to Kidman tells American publication Us Weekly, "Keith is expected to be in rehab for 35 to 40 days." Prior celebrity clients at the center, where programs start at $21,000, include Johnny Cash and Anna Nicole Smith. During his stay, he'll attend group therapy, lectures and spiritually focused programs. Urban, 39, took home the Best Male Vocalist trophy at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Monday night, and had pal Ronnie Dunn of country duo Brooks & Dunn read his acceptance speech, where he thanked his wife of four months for standing by his side. The source adds, "They look forward to resuming their life together."

Turkish Man Insists He's the Real Borat

A Turkish man is convinced that he was the inspiration for comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's character Borat and is demanding an apology and profits from the surprise hit film. Mahir Cagri, 44, a freelance journalist, became an internet celebrity after posting a personal website in 1999, featuring unintentionally amusing photos of himself playing ping pong or the accordion or sunbathing in skimpy bathing suits. The title character in Baron Cohen's new film Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan was first developed for British TV programme Da Ali G Show. The movie topped the US box office over the weekend with $26.6 million. On the commentary track to the DVD of Da Ali G Show, Baron Cohen claims Borat was influenced by someone he met in southern Russia.

Crowe Blasts Press Lies

Russell Crowe has accused the media of exaggerating his violent reputation for dramatic effect. The Gladiator actor is open about the mistakes he has made - including an incident last year when he threw a telephone at a hotel employee in New York City. But he is frustrated about reports he read that are untrue. Crowe says, "There is a lot of just intentional misinformation, as well. I've never had a fight with a photographer, for example, but you can find hundreds of articles on the net which will list me fighting with paparazzi, something I do apparently on a regular basis. But that's just not true. I just don't bother letting it bug me anymore, and because it doesn't bug me, in this odd way, it happens less."

Lohan Fears She "Will End Up Like Diana"

Singer/actress Lindsay Lohan reportedly fears she "will end up like Princess Diana" following a car crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The Mean Girls star was chased by a photographer who slammed into the back of her Mercedes after she left celebrity nightspot Hyde at around 2am. A source says, "She was apparently able to drive a short distance from the crash, but she later pulled over and called a friend to pick her up." Gossip site Tmz.com reveals she had been spotted looking upset earlier in the evening. It says, "La Lohan appeared a little upset and teary-eyed under a hooded shirt (before) speeding off, alone," Lohan's spokesperson, Leslie Sloane Zelnik confirmed the crash, but was unable to comment on whether the incident had been reported to the police, according to New York Daily News. It is the latest in a series of run-ins with the paparazzi for Lohan - a recent incident in which photographers tried to hit her Cadillac Escalade.

Richardson Quits US Show To Be with Sick Daughter

British actress Joely Richardson has been forced to put her career on hold to care for her sick daughter. The 101 Dalmatians star has temporarily quit her hit US plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck to be with her teenage daughter in London as she faces multiple operations to fix a circulation problem in her leg. Richardson tells America's TV Guide her daughter Daisy was diagnosed with circulation problems when she was born and medics told her parents she'd be in and out of hospital when she hit her teens. The actress says, "Surgeons and hospitals have been a big part of our lives. We were always told that she would have to have more surgeries when she got older. The time has come." Richardson admits she had no choice when it came to deciding to quit her hit show. She adds, "I love my work but I had to be in two places at once and I thought, 'If it were all over tomorrow, what would I regret?' It would be not being there for her." Richardson fears she'll never be able to return to Nip/Tuck, but series creator Ryan Murphy is hoping her character Julia McNamara, will be back. He says, "I don't want to do the show without her."

Pitt and Jolie Not Targeted By Terrorists

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were not threatened by Al-Qaeda terrorists but received threats from members of a little-known Islamic fundamentalist group trying to get publicity. A story last Thursday published in India's Financial Express claimed the terrorist group had threatened the celebrity couple, who were filming in Pune, India. Jolie is in the city shooting A Mighty Heart, in which she portrays Mariane Pearl, widow of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was killed in 2002 by Al-Qaeda terrorists. Sources close to the couple tell American publication Us Weekly that a little-known Islamic fundamentalist website put out a threat as a ploy to gain attention. The source says, "The FBI was told it was not credible, which they told Brad and Angelina." The couple were in India along with their children, Maddox, five, Zahara, 22 months, and Shiloh, five months. Pitt initially added private security to his team until he was assured by authorities that his family was safe. The source adds, "It was a big deal until they found out it was bogus."

Baldwin Arrested for Stealing Car

Actor Daniel Baldwin was back behind bars on Tuesday after allegedly stealing a car. The star was arrested in Santa Monica, California after police found him behind the wheel of a car reported stolen in Orange County, California. According to police reports, obtained by news website Tmz.com, police tracked the car to a motel and spotted Baldwin getting inside. Baldwin was then arrested and charged with grand theft auto. The actor was also booked on charges of possessing illegal drugs after police conducted a search of his motel room and allegedly found a stash of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. This isn't the first time Baldwin has found himself in police custody - in April he was arrested at another Santa Monica hotel after police were called following a fight, in which the actor reportedly threatened a woman. The authorities allegedly found cocaine in Baldwin's possession. That case is pending. In July, Baldwin hit the headlines again after crashing his car into two parked cars at high speed. Cops observed the 45-year-old, who had a suspended license, driving his rented Ford Thunderbird in excess of 80 miles-per-hour through traffic before running a red light and crashing. Baldwin, who was examined in hospital after complaining of neck and back pains, was held for questioning but not arrested.
