Pitt & Jolie's Bodyguard Attacks Photographer

A security guard protecting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during their stay in India was reportedly filmed manhandling a British photographer on Saturday. Pitt and Jolie are staying in Pune while the Alexander actress shoots scenes for new movie A Mighty Heart, and have attracted hordes of photographers to the city's Le Meridian hotel, where they have taken up residence. As the Hollywood couple left the hotel on Saturday, a member of their security team grabbed photographer Sam Relph by the throat as he tried to take their picture, and video footage of the incident has since been broadcast by India's CNN-IBN news channel. The bodyguard had warned photographers not to take any pictures and pounced on Relph when he refused to follow orders. Relph tells the Hindustan Times newspaper, "He said if I took pictures he would kill me. I couldn't breathe. He had his fingers on my windpipe and he knew what he was doing." Two Indian journalists have also complained about the treatment they received at the hands of the unnamed man.

Miller Apologizes for Pittsburgh Slur

British actress Sienna Miller has said sorry to residents of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for dubbing their city "S**tsburgh." Miller's remarks appear in a new magazine interview, in which she pleads with her interviewer to "pity" her for the location of her latest movie The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh, an adaptation of Michael Chabon's novel. The 24-year-old says, "Can you believe this is my life? Will you pity me when you are back in your funky New York apartment and I am still in Pittsburgh? I need to get more glamorous films and stop with my indie year." The outburst has deeply offended locals, including Mayor Luke Ravenstahl. He says, "I think obviously we have a great town, and I disagree with her comments. I'm sure in her short experience here she hasn't had the opportunity to have a real look around." On Friday, Miller apologized for the remarks in a statement, insisting she was referring to the fact the movie was shooting mostly at night and she had not had a chance to fully explore the city. She added, "What I have seen of it is beautiful. I came once before to visit the Andy Warhol Museum while researching a film and found both the city and its inhabitants warm and gracious." She vowed to tour the city properly this weekend.

Cross Confirms She's Pregnant With Twins

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has confirmed she is expecting twins. Cross and new husband Tom Mahoney, who married in June, initially announced the actress is pregnant and due to give birth next April. Although the couple didn't reveal Cross is awaiting the arrival of twins, the news soon leaked, forcing her to confirm it. She tells talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "This is what happened. I was so blown away about having twins so I needed a minute to deal with it. So we didn't tell anybody, we just said that I was pregnant. I don't know where it came from, but it got out and everybody started congratulating me and I kind of gave up. So... I am having twins."

Fawcett Vows To Beat Cancer

Cancer victim Farrah Fawcett has vowed to beat the disease with a full recovery. The former Charlie's Angels star, 59, confirmed speculation earlier this week she has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing radiation treatment. Unconfirmed reports suggest it affects the intestine. But the brave actress is convinced her optimism will see her through the difficult times ahead. She says, "I am determined to bite the bullet and fight the fight while going through the next six weeks of cutting edge, state-of-the-art treatment. I should be able to return to my life as it was before. I deeply believe in one's own positive will to overcome even the most daunting challenges." Fawcett's devastating diagnosis came after the star's appearance on August 27 at the Emmy Awards, where she was reunited with former co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson during a tribute to TV producing legend Aaron Spelling.

Family and Friends Mourn Daniel Smith

Friends and family gathered in Mexia, Texas on Saturday to mourn the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith. Daniel, who was 20, was found dead in his mother's hospital room three days after she gave birth to her baby daughter in the Bahamas last month. Anna Nicole did not attend the service and Daniel's body was not brought to the First Baptist Church of Mexia, but Daniel's father Billy Smith - who had not seen his son since he was two - was joined by 50 mourners. Anna Nicole and Billy Smith married in 1985 but divorced two years later.

'Star Trek' Auction Tops $7 Million

Star Trek fans from around the world have spent more than $7 million snapping up memorabilia from the TV and movie franchise at a three-day New York City auction celebrating its 40th anniversary. The sci-fi sale concluded on Saturday with more than 1,000 lots, including costumes, models and props, going under the hammer at Christie's - with most items fetching far more than their estimated price. The highest value item was a model of the Starship Enterprise-D, which attracted a staggering winning bid of $576,000. It had been estimated to fetch just $25,000. A model of the Starship Enterprise-E sold for $132,000, and a Borg cube model from Star Trek: First Contact fetched $96,000. They were only expected to raise $8,000 and $1,000 respectively. Captain Jean-Luc Picard's chair sold for more than $62,000, while the auction's final lot, a model of the Starship Enterprise-A, fetched $284,000. John Wentworth, executive vice president of communication at CBS Paramount Television, says, "We were thrilled to be able to bring (fans) tangible, coveted pieces from our beloved Star Trek, and they now own Trek history and have made this auction a huge success."

Dane Takes Up Permanent Residency on 'Grey's Anatomy'

Eric Dane has joined the cast of hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy as a regular character. Dane plays plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Sloan on the show, a role he originated in a guest appearance last season. The star returned to the series as a regular in the final scene that aired last Thursday. Dane's sexy character has been given the nickname "McSteamy," a take-off of the character played by Patrick Dempsey, Dr. Derek Shepherd, who is nicknamed Dr McDreamy. This marks Dane's second co-starring stint as a hot young doctor on an ABC medical drama - several years ago he played Dr. Wyatt Cooper on Gideon's Crossing. Dane most recently appeared in the blockbuster X-Men: The Last Stand and also had a recurring role on the TV series Charmed.

De Niro Buys Weinstein Home

Oscar winner Robert De Niro has paid millions for the former home of Miramax head Harvey Weinstein. The Hollywood actor bought the lavish 15-room property on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, from Weinstein's ex-wife, Eve, for a reported $23 million. The property features stunning views of Central Park and includes a luxurious film theatre, installed by movie mogul Weinstein before the couple divorced last year. The Goodfellas star, 63, will share the property with his wife of nine years, Grace Hightower. Among his new neighbors are Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, who own the apartment directly below De Niro's.

Hefner Opens Las Vegas Playboy Club

Hugh Hefner is celebrating after opening his brand new Playboy Club this weekend at the $300 million Fantasy Tower in Las Vegas. Hefner, 80, joined his daughter and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Christie Hefner, and Palms Hotel and Casino owner George Maloof at the lavish launch. One of Maloof's partners in the tower, Michael Morton, says, "It's a big deal for us, and it's a big deal for Playboy. Hef has always been very passionate about this whole deal. There were times in the process, when you negotiate anything, you have challenges. Hef was always so positive, and he really kept it together. Hopefully, he'll be very proud of what we've put together."

Phillippe "Plastered" at Golden Globes

Ryan Phillippe has attributed his Golden Globe exuberance earlier this year to being "plastered." The actor memorably jumped up and down, yelled and pumped his fists in the air when wife Reese Witherspoon picked up the Best Actress award for Walk the Line. But a red-faced Phillippe admits he had so much to drink with Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine during the ceremony he barely remembers his antics. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Phillippe says, "Shirley MacLaine and I drank like crazy, just putting away bottles of wine and making fun of everyone. I was plastered!"
