Aniston & Vaughn Split?

The romance between Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn is over, according to press reports in the US. After a year of refusing to officially confirm whether or not they were even dating, the couple reportedly decided to call it quits when Vaughn left last month to begin filming in England. A source close to Vaughn tells American publication Us Weekly, the couple broke-up the week of September 9 before he left to shoot the holiday comedy Fred Claus. Vaughn told the source on September 13, "It's not common knowledge, but we're not together anymore. We've split up." Vaughn then added that they solidified the breakup in a long phone conversation. A friend close to Aniston confirms the two are no longer together adding, "They're 100 percent done." The relationship reportedly began to unravel soon after Vaughn proposed to the star June 27 while flying back from a holiday in Mexico. Sources claim Vaughn was uncomfortable with media attention that the relationship attracted. The couple co-starred in the hit film The Break-Up last year, and were first spotted kissing at a wrap party for the movie in August 2005 in Chicago, Illinois.

Madonna Denies Adopting Baby in Malawi

Pop superstar Madonna has denied she adopted a one-year-old boy in Malawi on Wednesday. The Material Girl arrived in the African country's capital city Lilongwe early yesterday morning before driving to an unknown location. The 48-year-old was reported to have selected the orphaned baby from a group of 12 children specially selected by officials prior to her visit. Malawi has said to have waived its ban on foreign nationals adopting children for the singer. News agency Reuters quoted government spokeswoman Adrina Michiela as saying, "She asked us to identify boys only, which we have done after visiting four orphanages in Lilongwe." However, Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg says, "I can confirm Madonna is in Malawi on a private visit. She is building an orphanage and child care centre and is involved in other initiatives geared toward helping children orphaned by AIDS through the Raising Malawi organization. She has not adopted a baby despite reports that she has."

Hilton and Moakler File Charges Against Each Other After Club Fight

Singer/actress Paris Hilton claims she was punched in the face by former beauty queen Shanna Moakler at Hollywood nightclub Hyde in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Hilton alleges the estranged wife of rocker Travis Barker walked up to her at around 1am, "used the most vile of language" and then hit her in the jaw, according to her publicist Elliot Mintz. However, Moakler claims Hilton's boyfriend Stavros Niarchos bent her wrist back, before pouring a drink over her and pushing her down some stairs. Both women have filed police reports alleging battery. Hilton's publicist Mintz tells ABCNews.com, "(Moakler) shouted a barrage of obscenities and attacked her. She called me right afterwards and told me that she did not need to go to the hospital, but that she would file a police report. I can't say for certain why this happened, but Moakler is known to be upset by rumors that Paris is dating Travis Barker. Those rumors are not true. They are not dating." Hilton was recently linked to Barker in media reports. Barker and Moakler filed for divorce in August.
Cruise and Kidman Ruined 'Eyes Wide Shut', Kubrick Told Ermey
Stanley Kubrick thought his last movie Eyes Wide Shut was a "piece of s**t" that was ruined by interference from its stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, according to actor R. Lee Ermey. Ermey starred in Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket and remained in contact with the legendary film-maker up until his death in 1999. When the pair spoke shortly after Kubrick had completed work on Eyes Wide Shut, Ermey recalls the legendary director expressing his disappointment with the movie. He says, "Stanley called me about two weeks before he died, as a matter of fact. We had a long conversation about Eyes Wide Shut. He told me it was a piece of s**t and that he was disgusted with it and that the critics were going to have him for lunch. He said Cruise and Kidman had their way with him - exactly the words he used. He was kind of a shy little timid guy. He wasn't real forceful. That's why he didn't appreciate working with big, high-powered actors. They would have their way with him, he would lose control, and his movie would turn to s**t." Kubrick died in Hertfordshire, England of natural causes in March 1999.
Smith Custody Battle Continued by Judge

Celebrity photojournalist Larry Birkhead and his lawyer were back in court on Wednesday morning, where a judge refused to grant an immediate order for Anna Nicole Smith and her daughter to return to the US. Birkhead claims to be the father of Smith's baby Dannilynn and his lawyer Debra Opri challenged Smith to settle the custody dispute by submitting to a paternity test. The pair appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court where the judge continued the hearing until October 26. According to entertainment website Tmz.com, Opri is also requesting that the judge order Smith to submit to a drug test. At a press conference after the hearing, Opri addressed Smith directly saying, "Anna, I am talking to you directly now and I want you to listen to me and I want you to hear what I have to tell you. If you are so certain that Larry Birkhead is not the father, then you have nothing, absolutely nothing to lose by submitting to this jurisdiction and allowing a paternity test." Smith's partner and lawyer, Howard K. Stern alleges that he is actually the baby's father.
