Model Anna Nicole Smith has confirmed reports she 'wed' lawyer love Howard K. Stern on a boat near the Bahamas on Thursday, but insists the coupling is "not legally binding." The former Playboy Playmate, 38, married Stern in a spiritual ceremony onboard a catamaran anchored off Blackbeard's Cay in Nassau. The happy event came just 18 days after Smith's son Daniel Smith died from a combination of two antidepressants and methadone in the hospital where his mother had given birth to his half-sister Dannilynn on September 7. Another of Smith's lawyers Michael Scott confirmed the couple "exchanged vows before God" but admitted they didn't have the necessary legal paperwork, so the marriage would not be legally binding. Scott adds, "It was not a formal, legal arrangement." Up until Tuesday, it was widely believed photographer Larry Birkhead was the father of Dannilynn. However, Stern appeared on CNN talk show Larry King Live, insisting he was the newborn's biological father. Smith has previously been married to Daniel's father Bill Smith and Texas oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall.

Sacha Baron Cohen has been barred from the White House after failing in his bid to invite Us President George W. Bush to a screening of his upcoming movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan. Secret service agents turned away the English funnyman Cohen, in character as the anti-Semitic, sexist Borat Sagdiyev after failing to entice the President to view his film on Thursday. Also invited to the screening were OJ Simpson, Mel Gibson and other "American dignitaries." The stunt was timed to coincide with an official visit by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is scheduled to meet with Bush to raise the profile of their country.

Scarlett Johansson has been handed another major honor after being named Esquire magazine's Sexiest Woman Alive. And the 21-year-old actress shows off what made editors give her the 2006 title on the cover and inside the November issue of the men's style publication. The Lost In Translation star wears a bra and a white Calvin Klein mini-dress on the cover, and then sends temperatures soaring inside with a series of scantily-clad poses as an "enigmatic trailer-park temptress." But Johansson isn't totally impressed by her new title, explaining, "What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?"

A publicist for Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has confirmed the actress and her French boyfriend Tony Parker are experiencing "troubles." Liz Anderson refused to confirm or deny rumors the couple have ended their 18 month romance, but she admits her client and the San Antonio Spurs basketball star are experiencing "a difficult time." She says, "Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers."

Lindsay Lohan has failed to reward the chauffeur who discovered her missing handbag stuffed with jewelry worth $1 million at a London airport. Lohan's representative promised Tom Webster a reward or a thank you note from the star after his discovery at Heathrow Airport earlier this month - but he has heard nothing. Webster tells PageSix.com, "They haven't gotten back to me. Not a word. She seems like a nice girl and she was pleased to get the bag back - it was full of diamonds and bracelets and necklaces. But it's really disappointing. I'd like to hear from her with maybe just a 'thanks very much.' Her people took my address and phone number and said they'd be in touch. I know these stars need a good looking-after, but she could have easily just spoke to me on the phone."

Comedian Jason Lee appears to have confirmed reports his My Name Is Earl co-star Jaime Pressly is pregnant, by declaring the actress will "be a great mom." The actor told Us TV network E! he was delighted to hear of Pressly's recent engagement to DJ Eric Cubiche and believes she will be a good parent. Lee says, "She's gonna be a good wife. She's a hard-core southern chick. She says it like it is. But with that also comes a real sense of family, and she's gonna be a great mom." The actress recently received an Emmy nomination for her work on My Name Is Earl.

Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip actress Amanda Peet wed screenwriter David Benioff at her former Quaker school, Friends Seminary in New York on Saturday. The Whole Nine Yards star met Benioff on a blind date in 2002. They were engaged last July. Pett, 34, and Benioff, 35, wed in front of family and friends, including actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife, and Elizabeth Berkley and her husband Greg Lauren. Following the ceremony, Berkley told America's People magazine, "It was amazing and as extraordinary as she is." The couple is expecting a child in February 2007.

Alias star Victor Garber took an Internet guide to officiating at weddings after his pal and co-star Jennifer Garner asked him to marry her to Ben Affleck. Garber played Garner's father on the hit TV series and the two formed such a close bond that Garber was the only other person present when the couple exchanged vows in the Caribbean. He appeared on talk show The View on Wednesday, where he discussed the special day saying, "I officiated because it was a private thing and because they asked me as a friend. There is a website you can go to get ordained for one occasion, for one ceremony. Anybody can do it. If I can do it, anybody can do it, believe me! We went to a private place. The beautiful pair have been spotted out together in Los Angeles this week , prompting rumors of a romance. A source tells PageSix.com, "They were definitely together and holding hands." But Cruz spokesperson insists, "They are not dating." Gossips have suggested Bloom is dating Cruz in public, angry that Bosworth - who dated the English star for four years on-and-off - has been romancing model James Rousseau. Cruz ended her two year relationship with her Sahara co-star Matthew McConaughey in June.

Singing legend Liza Minnelli is set to star in an episode of crime series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The Cabaret star, 59, will play a retired beauty queen whose aspiring model daughter is murdered on Halloween in a November episode entitled Masquerade. Minnelli recently appeared alongside Mischa Barton, Danny DeVito and Paul Rudd in the upcoming movie The OH In Ohio and has appeared in several episodes of cult comedy Arrested Development.
