Anna Nicole Weds in the Bahamas

Anna Nicole Smith has wed her longtime attorney Howard K. Stern in a wedding in Nassau, the Bahamas, according to US reports. Stern, who revealed he was the true father of the actress/model's baby girl Dannilynn on CNN show Larry King Live earlier this week, exchanged vows with Smith on a catamaran anchored off Blackbeard's Cay in Nassau yesterday morning, according to America's Star magazine. The wedding comes just 18 days after the death of Anna's son Daniel Smith, 20, who passed away in his mother's hospital room three days after his baby sister was born on September 7. An eyewitness to the nuptials tells the Star, "There was heavy security around the yacht, plus extra speedboats to deliver more supplies as needed from the island to the catamaran." The source adds, "Anna was wearing a pink bikini" for a post-wedding swim party. On Tuesday, Stern told CNN anchor Larry King he was the father of Smith's baby girl, disputing claims by the actress' ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead that the child was his. He went on to tell King via satellite from the Bahamas that he and Smith were planning to wed: "I've loved her for quite some time and hopefully the feeling's mutual. At some point, we will (get married)." If the reports are true, this will be Smith's third marriage. Her first husband was tragic Daniel's father Billy Wayne Smith and she wed 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994. He died in 1995.

Spears Fires Publicist

Britney Spears has fired longtime publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnick and taken charge of her own public relations according to media reports in the US. Sloane-Zelnick has been on hiatus since the beginning of September, after Spears insisted on handling the PR duties surrounding the birth of her second son Sutton Pierce, who was born on September 12. Spears unsuccessfully orchestrated an interview with American Today show host Matt Lauer in June, where she wore a revealing top and chewed gum during her appearance. Sources tell entertainment website Radar Online that Spears did manage to negotiate a lucrative deal for the exclusive rights to the first photos of Sutton. Although OK! magazine reportedly bid close to $2 million for the first photos, Spears turned down the deal and decided to go with US publication People. People also published the first photos of her first child, Sean Preston, as well as the pictures from her wedding to Kevin Federline.

Sheen To Become Richest Comedian on TV

Hollywood star Charlie Sheen is set to become the highest-paid comedy star on television following two months of pay negotiations with Warner Bros. The actor will earn $350,000 per episode for the upcoming season of hit comedy show Two And A Half Men, a significant raise from his previous pay, according to trade paper Hollywood Reporter. Sheen began renegotiating his contract in July, after Warner Bros. agreed to sell the syndication rights to the Tribune Broadcasting stations and to cable station FX, effective from 2010. Sheen is also known to have a profit-participation stake in the show which is currently in its fourth season. The renegotiations have yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros and CBS.

Zeta-Jones Dropped by T-Mobile

Screen beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones will no longer be the face of phone giant T-Mobile from next year, as the company have no plans to renew her contract. The Ocean's Twelve star has appeared in American advertising campaigns for the firm since signing a reportedly multi-million dollar contract in 2003, also taking the role as their glamorous spokesperson. But T-Mobile claims to want a more down to earth, "man on the street" persona to tout their upcoming range of internet phone products. T-Mobile spokesman Peter Dobrow says, "When Catherine Zeta-Jones agreed to be our spokesperson four years ago, we could never have imagined the cache appeal she would have brought to T-Mobile. Her style, credibility and integrity have been a tremendous benefit for our company and our brand. We could not have asked for a better partner in launching T-Mobile than Catherine Zeta-Jones."

Pregnant Peet To Tie the Knot This Weekend

Pregnant actress Amanda Peet will tie the knot this weekend with screenwriter fiance David Benioff. The Whole Nine Yards star appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday and discussed her pregnancy and impending nuptials. Peet claims she was nervous about telling her fellow cast mates on her new TV series Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip about her condition, but they are now using her pregnancy as a chance to poke fun at her. She explains, "They've taken to calling me Fatty. I think it's really funny. (The show's creator) Aaron Sorkin is convinced I have a five-year-old in here or twins. All they do is call me fatty. Whenever I'm not on set, they're like, 'Check craft services (the catering table) - she's probably over stuffing herself again.'" Peet, who is four months along, says she has tried to remain calm about her wedding preparations, but has begun to have a series of bad dreams about her special day. She adds, "I think I've been pretty mellow, but recently I've been having recurring nightmares about not the ceremony, but the party. There are sort of adolescent fears about just being lame, having a lame party. The dreams are that I go to the bathroom and I come back to the party and everyone's gone. Everyone's dispersed. There are a few distant uncles of David's left. And another one where the band just didn't show up and everyone was getting bored and I was begging musicians that I know, 'Play, play something!' (The reception is) not so big, just 140 people, enough to make me have recurring nightmares."

Daniel Craig Dating Hollywood Producer

New James Bond Daniel Craig is dating American film producer Satsuki Mitchell. Craig, who has been romantically linked to Kate Moss and Sienna Miller in the past, insists he is thrilled to have someone to share his new-found success with. He tells US publication Parade, "We're together, and she's been experiencing this whole situation with me. That's incredibly important." Mitchell has worked on movies including the 2005 Adrien Brody film The Jacket and 2004's Godsend with Robert De Niro. Craig insists he puts a lot of work into his new romance adding, "Any relationship needs a little love and care at least once a day. I don't want to get soppy about it, but you've got to put the time in. It doesn't matter who you are, you've got to keep putting it in."

Madonna Breaks World Wealth Record

Singing superstar Madonna has smashed pop rival Britney Spears' record for the highest annual earnings by a female singer. The Material Girl raked in an estimated $50 million in 2004 - over $10 million more than Spears earned in 2000. The latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records also hails crooner James Blunt's Back To Bedlam album for selling the most copies in the UK in a year and rock newcomers Arctic Monkeys for having the fastest selling UK debut album with Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not. Bardot Makes Rare Birthday Outing

Actress-turned-animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot celebrated her 72nd birthday yesterday with a rare press conference to plug her wildlife foundation. The star, supported by crutches, told Paris reporters she felt compelled to speak out about the worrying increase of fur in fashion as her charity celebrated it 20th anniversary. However, she admitted the Brigitte Bardot Foundation had made huge steps in recent years, including the European Parliament agreeing to back a call for a ban on the trade of seal products within the 25-member bloc. She said, "I'm 72 and this is one of the best birthdays I've had. (This work is) the most wonderful success of my life." The Paris-based Brigitte Bardot Foundation boasts 57,000 donors in 20 countries across the globe.

Bergen Hits Back at Stroke Reports

Movie and TV star Candice Bergen, Oscar nominated for Starting Over, has hit back at reports she suffered a stroke, insisting her hospitalization was the result of high blood pressure. Reports yesterday suggested the five-time Emmy-winning Murphy Brown star, 60, had been admitted to hospital after suffering heart problems. But Bergen's publicist, Heidi Schaeffer, claims the legendary actress was only there for tests. Schaeffer says, "She was hospitalized for a few days" for "observation," and her client is now "fine."
