Drugs Did Kill Daniel Smith

The death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel Smith was caused by a lethal combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, according to pathologist Cyril Wecht. Wecht was hired by Smith to conduct a second autopsy on her son and revealed the results from toxicology tests yesterday. The pathologist told American publication People the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia that led to Daniel's death. Zoloft and Lexapro are both classified as anti-depressants, while methadone is used to treat heroin addiction. The toxicology results were conducted by National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania and released on Wednesday. Daniel died in his mother's hospital room September 10, while visiting her in the Bahamas three days after she gave birth to a baby girl named Dannielynne Hope. Smith's longtime friend and lawyer Howard K. Stern revealed on Tuesday that he is the father of the baby.

'Lost' Star Charges Dropped

British Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is celebrating after charges of driving without a license were dropped by Hawaii police. The actor, who was arrested earlier this month, on Tuesday managed to prove he had the correct documentation after all. Following his arrest, he spent six hours in jail before being released on $500 bail. Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Mr. Eko in the hit drama, is not the only Lost star to be arrested for traffic violations: in December, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drunk driving. Both pleaded guilty.

Edward Albert Dies

Actor Edward Albert has died of lung cancer in Malibu, California. He was 55. Albert, whose acting career took off in the 1970s after he starred in Butterflies Are Free with Goldie Hawn, died on Friday in his sleep. He starred with Liv Ullmann in the 1973 comedy 40 Carats and went on to appear in more than 120 movies and TV shows including Midway, The Greek Tycoon, The Ice Runner, Guarding Tess, Falcon Crest and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Albert was a dedicated environmentalist and worked with several groups, including the California Coastal Commission and the state's Native American Heritage Commission. He spent most of the last 10 years caring for his father, who had Alzheimer's disease and died at age 99 last year. Albert is survived by his wife, actress Kate Woodville; their daughter, Thais; and his sister, Maria Zucht.

Clooney and Zellweger Dating Again?

Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has reportedly reconciled his romance with fellow Oscar winner Renee Zellweger. The Good Night, And Good Luck director and star, 45, and Zellweger, 37, were romantically linked for two months in late 2001, shortly before Clooney started dating on/off girlfriend Krista Allen. Website PageSix.com reports Clooney and Zellweger met at the Tower Bar restaurant in Los Angeles' Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday for a romantic dinner. According to onlookers, the pair "cuddled, held hands and then slow danced to the piano music." Zellweger annulled her brief marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney in December.

Campbell Threatened With Arrest After Court No-Show

Supermodel Naomi Campbell failed to appear for her hearing at Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday and she has been warned she faces arrest if she fails to appear in court next month. The fashion firebrand was due in court to face accusations she threw a mobile phone at her housekeeper's head in January. Her lawyer, David Breitbart, claimed her absence was not due to professional reasons, but refused to divulge further information. Discussions on a possible plea bargain are continuing, and the case has been adjourned until November 15. Judge James Gibbons told the jury, "I want to make it clear that she is absolutely obliged to appear at the next hearing. If she fails to appear on that court date, the warrant will go into effect."

Dustin Diamond Sex Tape

Former teen TV star Dustin Diamond is reportedly the star of a candid new sex tape in which he romps with two women. The 29-year-old, who played geek Screech Powers in Saved By The Bell, engages in a number of sexual acts with the women in the 40-minute tape. Agent David Hans Schmidt has acquired the rights and is currently seeking a distributor for Saved By The Smell. Schmidt tells the New York Daily News, "Just when you think you have seen everything in this business, mankind has raised the bar another notch. Or lowered it." Diamond's manager Roger Paul hopes the tape will raise his client's profile and help resurrect the acting career that collapsed when Saved By The Bell ended in 1997. He says, "I haven't seen the tape. I've heard rumors. Dustin has been trying to escape the Screech typecast. So this may help me get more bookings." Diamond will welcome any royalties he gets from the tape - in June he launched a campaign to save his home from foreclosure, by selling autographed T-shirts on the internet.

Farrell "Stalker" Apologizes

The woman accused of stalking Colin Farrell told a court on Monday she was sorry for confronting the Irish actor during his appearance on America's The Tonight Show in July. Dessarae Bradford, 31, admitted her actions were over-zealous, but insists her "relationship" with the Miami Vice star was real. Bradford, who has previously written a book about her alleged affair with Alec Baldwin, believes Farrell "just wanted to be book number two." She fumed, "He's trying to give the impression that I'm some stalker, some delusional fan, which is absolutely not true." A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in July Bradford must keep at least 492 feet away from Farrell until the court hearing last month. The restraining order has since been extended to 2009.

Hilton's Drunk Driving Arraignment Postponed

Paris Hilton's arraignment on drunken-driving charges has been postponed until December at the request of her attorney. The star was originally scheduled to be arraigned today on charges she was driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of at least 0.08 percent. According to city attorney spokesman Nick Velasquez, it's not unusual for a first court date to be postponed to a later time. The arraignment is now scheduled for December 5 in Los Angeles Superior Court. Hilton is not required to appear. The 25-year-old was arrested on September 7 after leaving a Hollywood party and driving to a fast food outlet for a hamburger. If convicted, she could be sentenced to six months in jail and fined $1,000.

Morton Makes Lohan's Publicists Look Stupid With Split Story

Hard Rock Cafe heir Harry Morton has left ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan's publicists red faced after admitting he and the party girl have split just days after they denied break-up reports were true. Morton and Lohan were said to have split after a fight at a club in Los Angeles last week and, despite publicists' desperate efforts to kill the story over the weekend, Morton has now confirmed he's no longer dating the actress/singer. Speaking exclusively to US news show Extra, Morton has revealed, "We're just sort of taking a little breather right now and slowing things down." The restaurateur admits the pressure he felt following speculation he'd bought the Mean Girls star an engagement ring helped him make his decision. He adds, "A lot of people started saying we're engaged and it put a lot of pressure on things. We need a little space... I'm a very private person. I'm sure she (Lohan) has dealt with it (publicity) for years but it puts a lot of pressure on me."

Pressly Pregnant and Engaged?

My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly and her DJ boyfriend Eric Cubiche are planning their engagement and expecting a baby according to media reports. The happy couple have been friends for nearly a decade, but only started dating a year ago. Pressly tells American publication Us Weekly, "We're going this weekend to (Beverly Hills jewelry store) XIV Karats to design my engagement ring. I'm really looking forward to it." The 29-year-old says of her fiance, "Eric's been my best friend for nine years. It's one of those things where when you're ready, you're ready. And we are." Cubiche says, "She laughs at all my jokes. And I just love to sit back and watch her shine. We couldn't be any closer." Pressly says she would love to be a mother and according to Internet reports the couple are already expecting and recently announced the news to family and friends at a barbecue. The star insists the couple aren't racing down the aisle adding, "We've been together so long we just aren't in a rush to marry."
