Britney Is a Mom Again

Britney Spears celebrated the birth of her second son yesterday, according to US reports. Despite reports the pop superstar and husband Kevin Federline were expecting a little girl, the National Enquirer claims the Toxic singer gave birth to a 6 pound 11 ounce baby boy just before 2am this morning at a Los Angeles hospital. An insider tells the tabloid, "Kevin took Britney to the hospital in the evening hours of September 11 to prepare for the Caesarean birth." The new addition to the Spears/Federline family was born two days before big brother Sean Preston's first birthday. Federline attempted to dupe the press in recent interviews, insisting his wife would give birth around Halloween.

Daniel Smith Autopsy Report To Be Released Friday

Government officials in The Bahamas will release an autopsy report on Friday which will confirm what caused the sudden death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel Smith. Daniel was found sitting upright in a chair after going to see his mother and his new half-sister in the private Doctors Hospital in Nassau on Sunday. Her Majesty's Coroner Linda P. Virgill tells American publication People, "The cause of death is not natural. However, we wish to reserve the cause of death at this time pending the toxicologist examination and report for confirmation of cause of death." Media reports in The Bahamas claim Daniel died of an apparent drug overdose and that various medications, along with drugs, were found in his system. According to Virgill, a coroner's inquest with a jury will take place and Anna Nicole will likely be asked for her testimony. Virgill adds, "All persons who are relevant witnesses, like his mother and hospital staff and airline personnel who had contact with him, would have to testify. The inquest would happen late in October or early November to determine how, when and by what manner Daniel came to his death." The family has requested Daniel's body be returned to the United States, but the government in The Bahamas won't release him until the investigation is complete.

Madonna Ignores Russian Religious Protests

Madonna ignored religious protests from the Russian Orthodox Church when she performed in Moscow last night - she still sang a track while suspended from a giant cross. The Like A Virgin singer has courted controversy throughout the European leg of her Confessions world tour with her decision to re-enact the crucifixion of Christ. Father Vsevolod Chaplin, a spokesman for the Russian Orthodox Church, said prior to the concert, "This lady has been glorifying human passions with the help of religious symbols for years - crosses, statues and beads. Now she thinks it is time for her to crucify herself in public. It means the singer is in need of spiritual help." A Dutch priest was arrested earlier this month when he phoned in a fake bomb threat in a bid to have Madonna's Amsterdam shows called off.

Fonda Praises Lohan Criticism

Jane Fonda has praised a movie executive's criticism of Lindsay Lohan's party lifestyle, because she wants the 20-year-old to fulfill her huge potential. The Mean Girls actress came under fire from James G. Robinson, the CEO of Morgan Creek Production, in July, after the actress repeatedly failed to stick to her shooting schedule on the film Georgia Rule. He said, "We are well aware that your ongoing all-night, heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called exhaustion." And Fonda, who also stars in Georgia Rule, hopes Lohan has learned her lesson: "I think every once in a while a very, very young person who is burning both ends of the candle needs to have somebody say, 'You know you're going to pay the piper - you better slow down.' So I think it was good. She's in the magazines, so you always know what she's doing because you can just read about it in the tabloids. She parties all the time... And you know, she's young and she can get away with it. But, you know, it's hard after a while to party very hard and work very hard. I want to say to her, 'This is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. If you blow it, you don't get a second chance.'" And Fonda, 68, wishes she could wrap Lohan in cotton wool until she is emotionally mature enough to cope with the pressures and temptations which surround her. She adds, "I just want to take her in my arms and hold her until she becomes grown-up. She's so young and she's so alone out there in the world in terms of structure and, you know, people to nurture her. And she's so talented. Oh my gosh she can access emotion like nothing. And she just makes me cry. She made me cry a lot and when she was on the set she was really good, it's going to be a good movie."

Nicholson in Hospital?

Movie veteran Jack Nicholson is reportedly being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for a mystery illness. The About Schmidt star "checked into an LA-area hospital for an infection" on Monday, a source tells PageSix.com. The nature of the 69-year-old's illness is unknown. His agent Sandy Bresler tells the website, "I do not comment on Jack's personal life." Nicholson's new movie The Departed, directed by Martin Scorsese, is due for release later this year. He is due to begin work on his next film, The Bucket List, next month. Nicholson has won three Academy Awards -- Best Actor for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and As Good As It Gets, and Best Supporting Actor for Terms of Endearment.

Richie: "Anorexia Reports Are Stressing Me Out"

Socialite Nicole Richie is begging tabloid editors to stop poking fun at her skinny frame - because the stress is beginning to make her look anorexic. The Simple Life star has been dogged by the anorexic tag for months, but insists she simply suffers from stress and finds it difficult to eat when she feels she's being judged by photographers and journalists. She recently took supermodel-turned-TV presenter Tyra Banks out for lunch before appearing on her talk show to discuss her weight issues, and confessed stories about her fabled anorexia simply serve to prevent her from gaining weight. Appearing healthy and tanned on Tyra yesterday, Richie told the ex-model, "You definitely don't want people constantly looking you up and down. I know the photographers are following me every day; I know that they're looking for something wrong and that doesn't feel good at all. That obviously doesn't help me." Richie revealed she has hired a nutritionist and has therapy sessions in a bid to control her stress levels and gain weight. But the occasional run-in with a callous photographer leaves her in tears. She adds, "A few days ago... I was just walking to my car like a normal person and one of the paparazzi just screamed the most vulgar things to me... and I just broke down." For her special on Richie, Banks joined the socialite for a shopping trip in Los Angeles and secretly filmed the army of paparazzi who follow and jostle The Simple Life star daily. Banks revealed, "This is insane... A swarm of photographers this crazy was something I'd never seen before. There were so many photographers on the street that it was difficult to even walk. A trash can was turned over, a baby in a stroller was almost trampled on and the crowd was pushed out into oncoming traffic... It took us 20 minutes to walk one block." Richie confessed, "I do not leave my house and if I do I go with a group of people... It's not right... I feel like I'm being attacked."

Aguilera Dumped From Vibe Cover for Bobby Brown

Christina Aguilera has been axed from the front cover of Vibe Magazine's October edition in favor of troubled performer Bobby Brown. The star gave an interview and posed for a photo shoot for the publication as part of the publicity for her new album Back To Basics - but the feature has been shelved after new owners took over the magazine. Aguilera's piece was ditched and she was replaced by Brown. Relations between Vibe and Aguilera worsened when the magazine planned to put the sexy photos of the diva on its website but not in the print version. Aguilera's manager Irving Azoff even wrote Vibe a letter accusing its management of a breach of contract. The singer's representative Cindy Guagenti says, "When there's a change at a magazine, you understand that there might be a new direction. But Christina is completely within the scope of the magazine - she is very relevant to Vibe's readers, and we would still like them to honor their commitment. We want them to give us back our cover!" But the magazine's new editor Danyel Smith, who was appointed by the new owners, tells the New York Daily News, "I can't speak on the previous administration and what they did promise or didn't promise. But there was never an article to put anywhere. There was never a written piece. We had considered putting the photos online and then decided against it."

Woods Remembers Brother and 9/11 Anniversary

James Woods appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Monday to reminisce about the loss of his brother, Michael, who recently died, and to discuss his connection to the 9/11 terror attacks. Michael died on July 26, at the age of 49 of a heart attack, shortly after the brothers had bonded while taking a cross-country road trip together and stopped at the World Poker Tournament. Woods has an unusual connection to the 9/11 tragedy - he was flying from Boston, Massachusetts to New York City shortly before the World Trade Center was attacked on a "test flight" with two terrorists who eventually died hijacking flights on September 11. The actor spoke with the cabin crew at the time of the flight and voiced his suspicions. Reports were filed with the Federal Aviation Administration once the plane landed, but no action was taken. He explains, "As I flew back this time, I was talking about it to some of the flight attendants and I brought up something that one of the FBI agents slipped and told me, he said, 'It was great that President Bush grounded the aircraft so quickly because of those other planes at Logan (Airport in Boston) that had box cutters taped under the seats. The flight attendants said to me, yeah, we've been hearing a lot about this. There was a rumor that there may have been other planes that were set to go and because the planes were grounded so quickly those planes never got off the ground with perhaps other terrorist cells on them." The actor stressed the need for tolerance and kindness and thanked Leno for allowing him to talk about his brother adding, "Thank you for honoring him, I appreciate the opportunity to kind of share who he was with the world."

Schwarzenegger Talks Football at Big Game

Hollywood action man-turned-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger turned his attention to football Monday night when he joined the commentary team reporting on the Oakland Raiders clash with the San Diego Chargers. Schwarzenegger, who appears in a new futuristic, Terminator-style TV ad for US sports network Espn's coverage of American football, refused to take sides in the field battle, which the Chargers won 27-0. The California Governor did take time to acknowledge the firefighters who risked their lives on 9/11 on what was the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks, calling them "the real action men." Schwarzenegger also used his time onscreen to campaign for America's National Football League to put a new team in Los Angeles, the only major US city without a football team.

Newlywed Pamela Anderson has hit out at reports she is expecting a baby with husband Kid Rock. The happy couple married in a trio of ceremonies this summer and rumors have circulated that the former Baywatch star is expecting her third child.
