Engagement Ring for Lohan?

Lindsay Lohan is set to become part of the Morton family empire if reports of her boyfriend Harry Morton buying an engagement ring are to be believed. The restaurateur was spotted buying an engagement ring at Cartier in Beverly Hills, California and his aides have confirmed he did in fact buy something special there. A spokeswoman for the Pink Taco boss says, "I can confirm that Harry was shopping in Cartier, but what he purchased I cannot confirm. If it was in fact a gift then that's between him and whomever the gift is for." Lohan and Morton have been an item for four months and have been inseparable this summer. Morton is the son of Hard Rock Hotel chairman Peter Morton.

Mayer Posts Mysterious Message

John Mayer's official website crashed yesterday, after the Grammy Award winner reportedly posted a mysterious message related to his new relationship with Jessica Simpson. When rumors started circulating on the internet that Mayer had posted something about Simpson on his blog, fans swamped the site, causing it to crash. The singer simply had written "I'm really enjoying this song" and posted an image of Public Enemy's album cover for their song "Don't Believe The Hype". The message said it was posted by the singer at 10.30am on Thursday morning from New York City. News broke about the budding relationship between the stars, who are both suffering from a bought of laryngitis, on Tuesday. Although it's not clear what the exact meaning is behind Mayer's cryptic message, Simpson is reportedly telling friends she is in love with the singer. A source close to Mayer tells Us Weekly, "They've only gotten together a handful of times over the last few weeks. But yes, they've made out." A Simpson source tells the magazine that the couple have yet to consummate their new relationship.

Federline to Guest Star on 'Entourage'

Britney Spears' husband Kevin Federline has scored another acting role on a hit TV series and will guest star on Entourage. Federline has already shot a guest appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation that will air in October. Now the aspiring rapper has scored another plum part and will appear in three episodes of Entourage -- playing himself.

Thurman and Balazs' Danish Delight

Uma Thurman and Andre Balazs' romance is definitely back on - they have been spotted vacationing together in Denmark. The Pulp Fiction actress, 36, officially split from the 48-year-old hotelier in March - confirmed by her publicist last month. Thurman stunned fans when she turned up the Oscars in March without Balazs, bringing her publicist Robert Garlock instead. But during recent promotional work in the UK for her film My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Thurman hinted their relationship was back on, declaring, "How do you know I've broken up with him? It might very well just be on-and-off again. Who knows?" And the pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Danish capital Copenhagen's famous Tivoli Gardens amusement park on Wednesday. After enjoying the sights of Tivoli, the couple were invited by restaurateur Paul Cunningham to dine in his eatery The Paul. Following their meal, the pair rented a pair of bicycles and pedalled through the city, despite the heavy rain. When asked by a photographer if she was on business in Copenhagen, Thurman replied, "I'm just on holiday." Thurman and Balazs - owner of Hollywood's famed Chateau Marmont hotel - first started dating in December 2003, three months after the actress split from her now ex-husband Ethan Hawke. When the pair split in March, Thurman insisted they remain "close friends", while Balasz said they were simply "taking a break".

Sizemore Gets Own Reality Show

Troubled Black Hawk Down star Tom Sizemore will star in his own reality show on VH1. The actor will attempt to repair his damaged reputation after several years of bad publicity that has been well documented in the tabloids. Sizemore has had a long battle with drug addiction and was convicted in 2003 of assault and battery against his former girlfriend, ex-Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss. He was sentenced to 17 months in jail and four months in a drug treatment facility after repeatedly failing drug test last year and was caught using a prosthetic penis sewn into his boxer shorts and filled with a clean urine sample kept warm by a heating pack to fake the results of his drug tests. Also last year, approximately eight hours of celebrity sex tapes were released on the internet starring Sizemore. VH1 senior vice president of series production Jeff Olde says, "You literally watch a man come unglued and unravelled from his own point of view. He lays it all out there." The series will follow the now-sober actor as he embarks on acting jobs, including a movie for the BBC being filmed in Canada. Sizemore will narrate the show, which will also include flashbacks to his battles with drugs and sexual addiction using video footage he shot on his own.

Beyonce Slams Diana Dress Rumors

Beyonce Knowles has laughed off rumors she is going to marry boyfriend Jay-Z in a bridal gown modelled after the one the late Princess Diana wore. The singer insists a recent report citing her plans to marry in a replica of the gown are completely absurd. The report also had details of a lavish wedding ceremony, including decorations and catering menus. Knowles says, "I wish I could talk to whoever wrote that, because it's fabulous. Somebody is so creative that they should plan weddings, because they have a great one planned for me and Jay! It even has a menu of caviar. I don't even like caviar!"

Trump Fires 'Apprentice' Sidekick

Donald Trump has fired his Apprentice sidekick Carolyn Kepcher after she became too enamored with her fame from the show. Kepcher was relieved of her duties as general manager of Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff, New York earlier this week. Sources tell People that Trump had been unhappy with her performance for some time. The source says, "This has been brewing for over a year. He has tried to get her on the phone, and she was either off giving a speech or was hard to reach." The real estate mogul reportedly felt that Kepcher was promoting her own career more than his golf course. The source adds, "She was supposed to be managing the golf course. She was supposed to be selling memberships. That's her job to sell memberships, and she just wasn't doing it. With the book, the speaking engagements and these endorsement deals, he's looking at that and thinking, 'She's supposed to be working for me. Yet, she is off creating her own empire.'" Trump's representative Jim Dowd's only comment on the firing was, "Mr Trump wishes her the best."

Aniston to Sign with Nike?

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston is reportedly set to sign a multi-million dollar deal with sports giant Nike. The Hollywood beauty, 37, is in talks with the firm over an international campaign, which will include a coveted advertising spot during the televised Super Bowl final in February. According to internet reports, Aniston will donate a large proportion of her fee to cancer charities. Aniston is a keen runner and regularly appears in tabloid magazines jogging around her Malibu, California, home. Earlier this week, rapper Eminem announced he was designing limited-edition trainers for Nike, with proceeds of the sales going toward charities in his native Michigan.

'Hebrew Hammer' Gets Revenge on Gibson

Mel Gibson's shocking anti-Semitic tirade has turned the actor into the brunt of jokes in new comedy movie The Hebrew Hammer 2: Hammer vs. Hitler. Scriptwriters raced to add a note about the Gibson controversy and include it in the sequel of the 2003 Jewish 'blaxploitation' movie. In the new film, an actor depicted as a very drunk Mel Gibson is seen leaving California coastal diner Moonshadows with two blondes a bottle of Irish whiskey. According to news website Tmz.com, the Gibson character berates valets before speeding off in his car, screaming obscenities about the Jews. Apprehended by a traffic cop, just like Gibson was at the end of July, the actor's much-publicized anti-Semitic tirade is cut short when the cop, The Hebrew Hammer, shoots him through the head, before spraying a bloody Star of David onto the windshield of the movie star's Lexus. Screenwriter and director John Kesselman tells Tmz.com, "Young Jews love The Hebrew Hammer. I think if Mel wants to truly extend an olive branch to the Jewish Community as a whole, his on-screen death would go a long way in accomplishing that goal."

Peter Jackson to Remake 'Dam Busters'

Lord of the Rings film-maker Peter Jackson has signed to produce a remake of classic British war film The Dam Busters. Christian Rivers, who animated Jackson's last project King Kong, will direct the film which the Oscar winner insists will be "as authentic as possible and as close to the spirit of the original as possible". The 1954 movie told the true story of bouncing bombs that were developed by the British army to destroy German dams during World War II. It starred Michael Redgrave. Jackson, who enquired about the rights to the story when he was making initial plans for his Lord of the Rings movies, could only make the film after Mel Gibson's Icon production company pulled out. He tells film website ScreenDaily, "(My agent) came back and said that Icon had the rights and that Mel Gibson was going to direct and possibly act in it. Obviously that didn't happen." He adds the new film, which will shoot next year with a $30-40 million budget, will reveal much more about the missions than the original. Jackson says, "So much of it was still secret. They weren't even allowed to show the bomb itself and had to create a fictionalized bomb."
