Kidman's Rep Insists Pregnant Photos Are Fake

Nicole Kidman's representative insists photo agencies are manipulating images of the star to make her look pregnant. The Oscar winner has constantly been the subject of pregnancy rumors since hooking up with husband Keith Urban and insists she is not expecting. Kidman's representative, Catherine Olim, is convinced that photos are intentionally being distorted after one magazine paid $20,000 for a shot of the svelte star showing a bit of belly when her stomach is actually flat. She tells MSNBC, "(I'm) afraid they wasted their money. (Kidman's) not pregnant." Olim insisted Kidman wouldn't be "shooting a film, traveling to Rome for another film, then shooting another film if she were (pregnant)." She adds, "Incidentally, I'm virtually certain paparazzi are distorting photos to make her look pregnant. I've seen her, she's her regular slender self."

Clooney Dating Barkin?

Eligible superstar George Clooney is reportedly dating his Ocean's Thirteen co-star Ellen Barkin. Clooney, 45, and twice-divorced Barkin, 52, are said to be inseparable since meeting on the set of the sequel in Los Angeles. Birkin was divorced from her second husband Ron Perelman in February. An insider tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "George has been a shoulder to cry on for Ellen - he's helping her get over her divorce. She fancies him like mad and you can cut the sexual chemistry with a knife. He is so different from her ex-husband, which she loves."

Cruise Sacked Over Shields Comments

Tom Cruise was allegedly sacked by Paramount over previous criticism of Brooke Shields' use of post-natal anti-depressants. Paula Fortunato, the wife of Paramount boss Sumner Redstone, was enraged when she heard Cruise's comments on live TV, and warned her 83-year-old husband that the star's Scientology-inspired tirade is offputting to female fans. Redstone said last week: "As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal. His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount." The movie mogul originally hinted his decision was largely because of Cruise's bizarre antics on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Today. But insiders from Paramount's parent company Viacom claim Redstone's 43-year-old wife has great influence on the decisions of her husband. Viacom spokesman Carl Folta says, "It is true that Mrs. Redstone disagrees with Tom Cruise's views, but she and Mr. Redstone see every Paramount film."

Johansson: 'Sexiness Doesn't Distract'

Scarlett Johansson has angrily dismissed claims her steamy sex scene in new movie The Black Dahlia is an unnecessary distraction. The 21-year-old beauty plays the woman caught between cops Josh Hartnett and Aaron Eckhart, who are investigating the real-life unsolved murder of a wannabe actress whose mutilated body was discovered in Los Angeles in 1947. In the film, Johansson enjoys a sizzling romp with Hartnett and critics have complained they found it difficult to concentrate following the raunchy scene. The blonde star retorts, "Of course it's nice to be considered sexy, as a young woman in my prime. But I try not to think about the sexiness. And I never think about it being distracting from a scene." The Brian De Palma movie has its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival yesterday.

Braff Blasts Tabloid Rumors

Scrubs star Zach Braff has slammed the tabloids for making him out to be the "male Paris Hilton" and insists their stories are completely fabricated. Recent reports had the star regularly club-hopping and allegedly hitting on Jessica Simpson after breaking up with pop star Mandy Moore. Braff appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday night and immediately attempted to set the record straight. He said, "I've been learning a lot about myself from reading about all the stuff I've been up to, not based on any form of truth. "I lead a pretty boring life - I sit at home, I'm on the Internet, I eat cereal - that's a typical night for me. "I read online about all the places I've been out partying and all the women I've been out partying with. I'm like, 'Wow, I should probably go to that place. It sounds like a fun. It sounds like I had a good time there.' I'm kind of jealous of the life I'm supposedly leading. "Here's how the whole thing works. I actually decided, 'Maybe I'll go out. It's the summertime, I'm off from Scrubs.' "So I go out a little bit and they write all about me being this crazy party guy, like I'm Paris Hilton or something. I'm like the male Paris Hilton. "So then I'm like, 'I don't like that. I don't like being in the tabloids, so I'm just going to stay home. I'm going to be a homebody, I'm going to write.' "A week later a tabloid comes out with - 'Zach Braff Will Not Leave His Home!' You can't win! I just gave up on it."

Aniston Drops Suit Against Photographer

Jennifer Aniston has agreed to drop her suit against a photographer who snapped topless shots of her in return for a promise he'll never publish the pictures. Peter Brandt took the candid shots in Los Angeles last year and always maintained he did nothing illegal to obtain them. Brandt's representatives sent out a statement yesterday, in which they wrote, "Even though they were legally obtained (no trees were climbed or trespassing done), Peter pulled the photos from publication."

Madonna to Be Face of Louis Vuitton?

Madonna will be performing at a private party for Louis Vuitton next month - and the pop superstar is also reportedly being courted as the next face of the fashion house. The Material Girl will play at a bash in Prague, Czech Republic on September 8th. The day before she is playing in the city as part of her Confessions tour. Insiders report the 48-year-old is "very interested" in modelling for Louis Vuitton.

Simpson Admits Lip Enhancement

Jessica Simpson has come clean about surgically enhancing her lips last year. The singer admits her suddenly-puffier pout wasn't natural and that she hated the results. Simpson says she artificially plumped her lips up last autumn with the protein-based gel Restylane, which is reportedly safer than traditional collagen. Simpson tells the October edition of Glamour magazine, "I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me. I didn't like that. But... it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!"

Fergie Rules Out 'Newlyweds' Show

Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy 'Fergie' Ferguson has slammed rumors she's planning a Newlyweds-style reality show with actor boyfriend Josh Duhamel. The singer, who recently appeared in Hollywood blockbuster Poseidon, met the movie star on the set of American TV show Las Vegas. It has been rumored they are due to follow in the footsteps of pop princess Jessica Simpson and her ex Nick Lachey by appearing on a show about their relationship. But Fergie says, "We don't have any plans to work together again and we would never do a reality show, like a Newlyweds thing - absolutely not. I love to watch them, I just don't want to be on one."

'Psycho' Screenwriter Dead at 84

The man who penned the screenplay for cult thriller Psycho has died at 84. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native was also a talented pianist and lyricist, who began his career touring in a modern jazz band. His big break as a screenwriter came in the mid-1950s when he penned The Black Orchid, which became a hit film in 1958 starring Anthony Quinn and Sophia Loren.
