Hudson Dating 'Dupree' Co-Star Wilson?

Kate Hudson's romantic relationship with her You, Me & Dupree co-star Owen Wilson may be the reason behind her surprising split from rocker husband Chris Robinson, according to media reports in the US. The Almost Famous star announced she was separating from The Black Crowes singer on Monday after nearly six years of marriage. According to American publication Us Weekly, Hudson and Wilson kept things platonic while filming the romantic comedy, but a romance blossomed in June, when the two began the press junket for the film. A source tells the magazine, "This is not (just) a fling. Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it!" The pair have reportedly spent many nights together at Wilson's home in Santa Monica, California and have even been spotted together having breakfast at health food restaurant A Votre Sante on August 3. The source also says the pair "often shared hotel rooms" while promoting You, Me & Dupree around the world. A representative for Hudson did not deny the affair when contacted by the magazine and had a "no comment." Wilson's lawyer tells the publication, "(Anything) that suggests that the separation of Ms. Hudson was caused by Mr. Wilson... is absolutely false."

Aniston Slams Engagement Stories

Jennifer Aniston has lashed out at reports she is engaged to Vince Vaughn, labeling the stories "insane" and insisting "people are getting fed a lot of bull." The Rumor Has It star claims she was forced to speak out after legitimate news agencies began reporting the engagement as fact. She tells American publication People, "I'm not engaged and I don't have a ring and I haven't been proposed to. Normally we don't even acknowledge these things because they're endless, at this point, the thing that got me was that I was getting phone calls from Greece! My Aunt Mary in Greece is getting accused of lying! I mean, they're getting angry. My dad calls and he says, 'Honey, it's on the CNN crawl, ' and I'm going, 'Wait a second!' When it starts to travel over into the Today show and CNN and supposedly reliable and accurate news programs, then you just go, 'This is insane. People are getting fed a lot of bull.' The American people need to believe (the news). Please. Get it together!" As for the real status of her relationship with Vaughn, whom she met last year while filming The Break-Up, she says, "We're just being. We're having a good time."

Paltrow Feels "Spark" Again

Gwyneth Paltrow is relishing being back at work after a two-year hiatus, because she feared she'd lost her passion for acting forever. The Oscar winner took two years out from the movie industry to care for her children - Apple, two, and Moses, four months - and settled into her housewife role with ease, believing she had achieved everything she wanted two. But the 33-year-old, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has rediscovered her spark, but insists she will only work on uplifting projects in future. She says, "For a long time, I thought, 'I've done it. I've done what I wanted to do. I'm not interested. I just want to be home with my family.' I had no spark for work, but I feel the feeling back. And I'm excited about the prospect. I want to do something kind of fun. I don't want to do anything depressing or mad. I want to do a really great, funny, weird character."

Pitt and Jolie Leaving Malibu?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are packing up and leaving their beachfront compound in Malibu, California, for Los Angeles' trendy Los Feliz neighborhood. The couple and their three children - Maddox, five, Zahara, 19 months and Shiloh, three months - have only been back in the US for a short time following their extended stay in Namibia, but are already moving on. Pitt has spent more than a decade buying and renovating in Los Feliz and has amassed a three-property compound. The brood is currently splitting their time between the two homes, but sources report Pitt intends to make Los Feliz the family's primary residence. The architecture buff has reportedly invested an estimated $4 million in the properties, which include a stone house once occupied by Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson, a California Craftsman, and a post-and-beam property built in the 1950s. Pitt purchased the first of the three properties in 1994 and has been renovating ever since. A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "Brad's turned the compound into a Neverland-like place." The couple have turned a ballroom into a massive playroom and there is a pool and a large fountain in the centre of the main house. According to a source, "It's meant to be a kids' paradise, where they can just run wild."

Williams Recovering In Rehab After Relapse

Comedian Robin Williams reportedly decided to check himself into a rehabilitation facility after more than 20 years of sobriety in a bid to save his marriage to wife Marsha. The Good Will Hunting Oscar winner felt under extreme pressured to keep up his funny persona in the face of adversity, and began to seek solace with alcohol - to the determent of his 17-year union. A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "In public, he had to be 'on' all the time. When he was drinking alone was the only time he didn't have to do that." William's drinking took a toll on the marriage, according to the source who adds, "Of course (the marriage) suffered, but Marsha is the one who encouraged him to get help." The 55-year-old star checked himself into Newberg, Oregon's Hazeldon Springbrook clinic on July 11.

Leto Diagnosed With Gout

Requiem For A Dream star Jared Leto has been diagnosed with gout after undergoing dramatic weight loss for a film role. The condition is a form of arthritis and causes sudden and excruciating pain, swelling, redness and stiffness in joints. Leto's representative confirms that the gout was "caused by the dramatic weight loss for a movie role." The condition is caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints. The Panic Room actor packed on 62 pounds for his role as John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman in Chapter 27. He was required to shift the weight quickly for subsequent roles.

Deschanel Beats Spears and Lohan to Joplin Role

Zooey Deschanel has beaten Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Scarlett Johansson to the coveted role of Janis Joplin in the forthcoming movie biopic of the tragic singer. Pop punk Pink was originally director Penelope Spheeris' first choice to play the late rocker, but pulled out, blaming the movie's producers for turning the casting process into "some circus pop contest - who's the 'it' girl who wants to play Janis." However, Almost Famous beauty Deschanel, 26, has signed to play Joplin in The Gospel According To Janis, which starts filming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November. "Piece Of My Heart" hitmaker Joplin died of an heroin and alcohol overdose in a Hollywood hotel room in October 1970 at the age of 27.

Hilton Puts Her Furniture Up For Auction

Paris Hilton's bed, living room suite and furniture items are being offered to the highest bidder as she plans a remodel. The socialite is selling off her stuff at auction through website Starstyle.com, where fans can pick up a piece of Hilton for a fraction of the price she spent on top-end items. And Starstyle.com spokeswoman Talitha Peters insists the Internet auction lot is complete - even Hilton's scratched headboard and mattress are part of the sale of the top item. She says, "The bed is hers, the mattress is hers, the boxspring is hers... The bed is hot." Added to the value of another item, a glass-topped coffee table, is heel marks - believed to be Hilton's - on the surface. Also up for grabs are cushions, exotic tables and lamps, which Peters claims cost the socialite a whopping $2,000 each when Hilton bought them.

Almodovar Rules Out Move to Hollywood

Director Pedro Almodovar has crushed speculation he plans to quit his native Spain for Hollywood. The maverick moviemaker, responsible for films such as Volver and Bad Education, feels he is too old now to change his ways and that the Hollywood method of working would not suit him. He says, "I'm an artist. I'm part of every decision in a movie. This is not how they work in Hollywood. There the director is part of the crew, not the main creator. I'm too old to change now. I wouldn't know how to do it." The director also laments the worsening standard of Hollywood screenwriting, adding, "They forget the most important thing is the script, and the scripts get weaker and weaker. Technical effects advance, but the literary quality is worse."

Ricci: "I'm Too Short To Be a Superstar"

Sleepy Hollow actress Christina Ricci is convinced she'll never make it onto Hollywood's A-list, because she's too short. The former child star fears her tiny stature rules her out of too many roles. She says, "I don't think that's ever going to happen for me. I'm five-one first thing in the morning, and I tend to look really small on camera. I can probably go as far as Holly Hunter went, then I think that's going to be it. I have a feeling I am way too small."
